    There are 4 ways to open the frunk. The one you left out is the key pad on the pillar, you can also open it that way.

      Thanks for sharing! I did not know about this. Owners manual says, "Enter the factory-set code or your personal code, then press 7·8 on the keypad within five seconds."

    lol that thing where you cant close the door back when its not fully open definitely came about because some Ford engineer some where now has 9.5 fingers.

      It's really an impressive and well thought-through design. Just feels like more complexity was added.

    To increase the range, hold the fob to your skull. It will extend the range, using your head as an antennae. I just thought of this, it's probably because of water. I should test to see if my water bottle does the same

    • @studzstudios
      @studzstudios  Před 2 měsíci

      Haha, I've tried something similar as well and it does seem to help a bit with the range.

    The fob is like a valet key, and the owner does not want them inside the FRUNK by pushing the button.

      These are totally all first world problems! I'm thankful for this car and sharing my experiences with anyone that's curious about the Mach-E.

    I got lucky when I was DC fast charging at an Electrify America charger. It didn’t work, and I couldn’t remove the cable (and no power was going through it). I was freaking out cause I thought it got “stuck” due to the thick and awkward canble. The guy charging next to me said “try the menu screen”….nothing. Then he said “what about that button next to the port?” I hit that and it released!! Why don’t they tell you that?? I thought I’d be stuck at a rest area! You didn’t mention how to disengage it at a DC faster charger. That button is how……

    No door handles prevents breaking entry. Can you say F150. After two breaking to my King Ranch. I eliminated door lock on drivers door and just gave up and sold it.

    • @studzstudios
      @studzstudios  Před rokem

      Interesting! Hadn't considered this. The Mach-E has other components to could break, specifically the "presenter", to push open the door open. If this breaks, as long as the electronic latch releases, it should still be possible to pull open the door from the outside with the fixed handle.

    Tire size has an affect on Milage..These tires were engineered for this EV...If it had fatter tires and less milage people would be bitching about that...

    • @evlover04
      @evlover04 Před rokem

      I have a none performance GT, and my tire size is 245/45 R 20.

    • @studzstudios
      @studzstudios  Před rokem

      The skinny tires definitely help the range. The GT does have wider tires, but also has a bigger battery to help make up for it.

    Does this not have a sunroof shade like the Tesla? Seems at least some ambient lighting for night driving

    • @studzstudios
      @studzstudios  Před rokem +3

      Correct, no sun shade for the panoramic sunroof. There are some after market options, but have not tested these. The glass is heavily tinted, but still can see lights through it at night time. Can't really see stars though.

      The Mach-E is 100% electric. Ford's Maverick, Escape, Explorer, and F-150 have hybrid options.

    Calling it a “frunk” is like signaling to the world you take your soy with extra soy and a soy froth with powdered soy to top it off

      Have to say I prefer "front trunk". Any other suggestions on what to call it?

    • @billgates3699
      @billgates3699 Před rokem

      @@studzstudios it is a trunk. Trunk is just a container, not an implication of a location. If a cup holder is in a rear passenger area or the front occupant area, does it become a frup holder etc?

    • @studzstudios
      @studzstudios  Před rokem

      @@billgates3699 Fair point! Since there are two trunks, then it seems "front trunk" and "rear trunk" is appropriate if the specific location is important.

      @@studzstudios two trunks? Thought it was a hatch in the back but otherwise yes if there are two compartments it would be like saying front and rear cup holders.
