Swellow was my only full odds shiny. There was a tornado passing through so my mom made me and my brother go to the basement. My DS was almost dead and I was just messing around and battling random wild Pokémon. Did not even know shiny Pokémon existed. I run into it, then there’s this big crashing noise and the power goes out. I catch it, save my game, and my DS died. Legendary night.

Lunala is also a fitting red, because a it being the moon pokemon, because of Blood moon/Lunar eclipse. i think that solgaleo would have looked awsome in a dark blueish color as bigger stars are
I think the reasoning behind Solgaleo is because of the idea of red giants/red supergiants. That may sound like I'm defending it, but that's not the case because it's not a great shade of red.
The red on Solgaleo was really unpleasant. I think it was mostly because it was just too much red. I personally would've preferred either a dark yellow or orange with red highlights here and there, to make it look more like the actual sun, since it doesn't really resemble a star at all.
Two things. First blue stars aren't big. They are actually pretty small on average to around the same size as the sun. Red Giants are big stars. Second I do t think there is anything wrong with the shiny it looks perfectly fine and I have no idea why anyone is saying it looks bad
@@williamgreene590 I think that the shiny could have looked better with a nice blue tint where the white are on solgaleo 1 year later i still feel like the shiny form didnt really age well for me at least. not while Lunala got an awesome blood mood like color. the least they could have done(in my opinion) is to contrast that with a nice blue color on solgaleo

I haven't found a random Shiny in 6 Gens of Pokemon either until a ran into a Shiny Minior while huntung down good Dittos for breeding.
Shiny pokémon is basically the pokémon world's equivalent of albinism.

I actually really love Shiny Spiritomb. It's one of my personal favorite shiny Pokémon. I didn't know it was underrated. I think it's a really good shiny.

My favorite shiny has gotta be Salamence, not just because it was my first shiny. If we wanna go by technicality, my real first shiny was a Sealeo, but I didn’t even notice it was shiny until after I caught it. I also caught it in a Max raid battle so I don’t feel like counting it. Salamence- Bagon when I caught it- was my first Shiny caught at its regular size. It was also the Pokémon that taught me about the apparent “Pokérus,” so I hold a big place in my heart for it. I’m also a huge fan of Pseudo-Legendaries.

The duel type shiny Azumaril was one of my first Pokémon cards and I’ve liked it ever since
I know this video is old. But when it comes to Green Shinies, I think Muk takes it. Grimer is really cool too, but Muk's darker green really fits it as a Pokemon. Especially with the subtle change of its tongue going from a faint purple to green.
Nausea green actually works on Muk, unlike 80% of other shinies

Shiny Lunala is red like a blood moon, and it's also a bat, and some bats drink blood. I absolutely LOVE Lunala's shiny because of that.

With the dlc in shield (not sword) for crown tundra, you can actually hunt it with a 1 in 300 chance. With the shiny charm, it goes up to an insane 1 in 100!
Funny how bloodmoon lunala is good but red giant solgaleo doesn’t when it should. Is it too bright of a red? It’s based on the sun! Maybe make it darker? Could work but then the inspiration makes less sense. Kinda makes me want to hate shiny lunala for making the red work but solgaleo magically doesn’t work but I do like shiny lunala and I regret catching it in dynamax adventures without hunting it while having sword but not shield.

Shiny Psyduck was actually the first Shiny I caught legitimately, without hacking or special events. And I wasn't even hunting for it, it just showed up out of nowhere!
I never hear anyone talking about Shiny Gigalith which is a shame because it is honestly one of the coolest shinies I have ever seen!
You know how when Gigalith roars, its crystals light up orange? Well, the shiny form has blue crystals, but they still glow orange! Seeing the orange tint bleed through the blue crystals is incredibly cool, but often overlooked because you can only really tell by using it in battle.

I found a shiny cutiefly when I was breeding Pokémon in sword when it ran into me and evolved it to a ribombee. Needless to say the original ribombee colors have been ruined for me.
I’m so excited to see shiny Heatmor at the top of the list! It’s been my favorite shiny Pokémon for years and it makes me sad that everyone seems to dump on Heatmor as a whole when it has such a kick ass shiny 😢
One shiny I personally think deserves more love than it gets is shiny Noivern. Another green shiny swept under the rug for being green, but I absolutely adore it for actually making it look like the Wyvern it's design was inspired by.

Guys... seriously... they probably chose red for Lunala to base it OFF a blood moon. Yes, the colors are different. But that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't based off it. There are plenty of shinies who are based on different things that don't perfectly match it.

Shiny Corsola is easily one of my favourite shiny Pokemon, mainly because it has a nice bright blue colour that fits Corsola and coral in general really well. It also has a nice white touch to it. I can see why it made its way into the honourable mentions.

The reason that shines got better in gen 6 was because before, they used an algorithm to determine the colors, while they actually pick the shiny color now.

Just to clarify, when I say I accidentally find shiny Pokemon by complete accident, I mean throughout the Pokemon games I have played, I try to find one specific Pokemon in that specific area, when all of a sudden I am greeted with a shiny Pokemon.

Shiny Psyduck is definitely underrated. One day in Pokemon USUM, I found a random shiny Psyduck in a cave and named him Howard. I love him to death to this day.

I actually have a shiny Crustle in my Ultra Sun game and i love her! The shiny looks more like moss than radioactive, but i can see why someone will assume it. I actually named mine Mossie, after the fact that it was a mossy color
