▪️Waxing
You can use waxing to remove hair on other parts of the body but avoid it on the face.
▪️Hair removal creams
These are prone to irritate skin and cause rashes which leaves behind dark spots. So don’t use them on your face.
▪️Threading
This can be used to shape eyebrows but threading chin area and side locks may also cause ingrown hair in these areas.
▪️Shaving or trimming
This is a good way to tackle facial hair without causing any harm to the skin .
▪️Laser hair reduction
If you require removal of hair for more than twice a month, then laser hair reduction is the best option. Usually 6-8 sessions are required at monthly intervals followed by maintenance sessions once or twice a hear depending on hair growth
▪️Bleaching
If you have thin fine hair, then bleaching is an option. Here are a few precautions to take if you want to bleach
✔️do not bleach if if is dry, red or irritated
✔️apply a thin layer of moisturiser wait for 20’mins then apply the bleach
✔️leave the bleach for only 10-15 mins, not longer
✔️wash face with cool water and apply a layer of aloe Vera gel or soothing moisturiser
✔️on the day of bleaching avoid actives like retinol, salicylic acid, glycolic acid or vitamin C
✔️do not exfoliate skin for 4 days after bleaching.
⚠️Hormonal evaluation is important if you have thick coarse hair in chin, upper lip and side locks area . You can visit your dermatologist Gynecologist or endocrinologist for evaluation.

If your skin feels stretchy or dry after face washing then your skin type is normal to dry. Also you probably need a gentle cleanser. Avoid using face wash on your eye areas.

Everyone says trimming is good and not make hair thick. But its not true. This trimming actually made my hair thick
I've been doing it for 3 years after finding waxing and threading my sideburns and cheeks too painful and I can assure you my facial hair has not become thicker or grown faster. But I know what you mean, it only appears thicker because naturally your hair has a thin, pointed tip so hair appears thin and fine. Shaving cuts it horizontally which makes the tip appear blunt instead of thin and pointed. So hair looks thicker because of the removal of fine tip :)

I am 18 and have been doing laser hair removal for my entire body for past few months. It is working soooo well. You cannot wax or thread in between sessions, only shave as the root must stay intact otherwise progress goes back to square 1. Higher risk of skin irritation or hyperpigmentation for very dark skin tones but for my brown skin it is fine as long as you go to an accredited professional - Don't be cheap for this!!! It is a bit expensive but so worth it as after 6-12 sessions depending on your hair thickness, results are permanent. And it also barely hurts, just feels like a hot rubber band flicking your skin so I highly recommend. Ask any questions if you'd like :)

It would be great if you can give some information about the devices that people use for laser at home.
Im 18 and I've been doing laser hair removal at home for 4 months. I use an ipl machine which uses Intense Pulsed Light as a semi-permanent hair removal method. Usually results last for a couple years but if you do maintenance after all sessions are done every once in a while, results last forever. In between sessions, you cannot wax or thread only shave because the root must stay intact otherwise you won't see any results. Pain is minimal only feels like a hot rubber band flicking the skin. Since it is an at home device and not with a professional, please do your research before buying because skin colour plays a huge role in the effectiveness of the device and eliminating any possible side effects e.g. hyperpigmentation, burns, etc (I have not experienced any side effects). Don't go for cheaper options, this is something you should go for more high end devices for safety. The best machines like the one I use detect the colour of your skin before every zap and change intensity of the laser accordingly. If skin colour is too dark it will not work. I use the one from Braun but Philips is also a good brand (they cost around 300-700 AUD)
