Placidusax ultimate attack: is it the cloud into lightning claw attack? Is it the lightning nuke? is it the golden fire laser of death? It's all of them
Ah yes, Placidusax, the first boss fight in history to make me actually angry that the attacks (specifically the lightning bomb and death ray) DIDN'T kill me In one hit
yeah the soundtracks for many of the bosses don't really sound all that impressive on their own as musical pieces. but they work Excellently in their respective boss fights. this song doesn't work on its own because it's a pretty generic loud whaling choir, and it's mostly, just that. just the loud choir is mostly what you'll hear in this song. much louder than the instrumentals. so on its own, it's a kinda boring song since it doesn't really do much. but in the boss fight it perfectly compliments the boss in terms of its presentation in terms of animation, appearance, and boss arena. making it really suiting for the boss being fought.
@@trevorveillette8415 I disagree. Upon hearing many of them later on, there are a lot of them that are bangers even without the boss fight to go with them : godskin apostle, placidusax, Rykard, Godrick, Fortissax, Regal ancestor spirit, Rennala, Radahn, Malenia, Elden beast, Mohg, etc
@@lahunica2726 yeah but when compared to the other souosborne games, it just feels so boring I mean take ludwig track for example that shit is cool asf and nothing in er is as good as that
@@Based1889 Taking one song in Bloodborne's DLC doesn't equal to all previous games soundtracks. And no I disagree, a lot of songs I mentionned previously give Bloodborne tracks a run for their money. Ds3 has some great tracks but overhaul it's way under Elden Ring and Bloodborne. Sekiro also has great tracks but not as many as ER and Bloodborne. Ds2 has 2 great tracks, ds1 has 4 or 5.

I remember when I was fighting him, he disappeared and went into that cloud form and circled the entire arena like twice before diving in, lightning bolts everywhere, soundtrack was immense, definitely the coolest boss fight I've ever seen
He was also missing two heads and severely weakened when you fight him. The end of his era was long ago. I also found out he apparently had 5 but lore states he had only 4. Thanks for uploading this. He knocked me down with his flying attack and I missed almost the entire laser sequence and I didn't get to fight him a second time.
the first time i witness this attack, after dodging the thunders and the claw swipe, seeing him spewing flames and shooting lasers. i was in awe, so much that i couldnt move and die. im not even upset, i was amazed.
LOL I love the player running up to Placidusax as he'd breathing fire like "Yeah, I can navigate this and get some hits in," but nopes out of there immediately when the laser beams come out.
That's how I felt when I first saw this attack and I saw my brother fight Placidusax and he had the same reaction, same with the bolt of gransax nuke, these two attacks make anyone run for their lives no questions asked
I feel like this boss had a lot of Godzilla inspiration. From the design and beams being reminiscent of King Ghidorah. And the function of the beams changing forms mid fire from a normal flame to a condensed beam being like Shin Godzilla.
I feel bad for him, the first Elden lord reduced to a fraction of his former self, he used to have 4 or 5 heads, his wings are cracked and torn, and he is missing his second smaller pair by his back legs All he wanted to was rest in his storm out of time, and we the player break into his house so to say
Well he had 4 heads, but yeah, it would probably destroy the arena. Placidusax is like, 50% his maximum potential in that fight, since he got sloppy and slow, if we were to fight him at his prime (hopefully happening in a future DLC) then it would probably be one of the most difficult bosses (and he already is one of the 10 most difficult bosses in the game as of now)

Best boss fight in ER

Needs a mod that gives it a King Ghidorah 1960s roar sound.
idk why but i just love his design and the fact that his tail is partially cut off
Imagine this laser beams with 4 heads 💀
This is a work of art
Good thing he only has two heads left! That fire attack at the end would’ve been insane if he still had all four of his original heads!

damn that was cinematic how you saw his teleport swoop just in time before he hit you
One of my favorite bossfight
When i first saw that i keept yelling midir midir midir
IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZER ! BWAAAAHHHH !!!!!!!
I swear that laser breath attack has the leitmotif from the Targaryen theme song from Game of Thrones.
I didn’t know about this boss until the second journey and boy was I mad when I got one shot by that attack!
I agree with the description of this video.
His fire breath: boy's sneeze
His laser breath: dad's sneeze
Twice as much death lazers as Midir but luckily not twice his health
Imagine if they added in the Bolt of Gransomething attack to that too
Even if the fight itself wasn't particularly difficult, the spectacle alone....just damn.
Just how much hp do you have.
That easily one shots
I have 99 vigor and Lionel's armor. I still haven't taking a hit from that laser and survived it. I didn't think it was possible
Remember the meme "local man arrested for everything"?
It was probably the inspiration for this boss
is it just me of the texture of the beam is a bit streched? with a flat plane
Then he slams the big thing in the ground to stop the music and time(gransax bolt) cuz he wants to
So much spectacle!
Imagine using the nuke technique while at his fullest peak
I’d love to see him and Darkeater Midir go at it.
Yeah a Adult Midir vs Prime Placidusax fight would be awsome
During the late game with shit like Mogh, Maliketh and Malenia, Placi feel so refreshing to fight
Placidusax kinda looks like the dragon in targayrean's symbol, just one head missing.
im full hp and that attack one shots me how do i dodge that
reminds me of Shin Godzilla
similar buildup, starting with fire, then concentrated in a completely out of control laser
Midir is even more like Godzilla because he gets knocked out after running out of juice

Love Blasphemous Blade

Wait it ends? I either killed him during or got killed during lol, I didn't know that the attack could end

I wonder which attack is actually more damaging, the laser breath or the lightning nuke?
Laser breath as far as I know, lightning nuke dmg is quite underwhelming, especially for an attack with such a long wind up time.
