As soon as you mentioned the office. I knew you were the one I’m going to listen to
I started using Bifen IT for our property. Not only for Mosquitos but, Lantern Flies, Stink Bugs, Fleas, Ticks, Ants, Bees, Wasps, etc, etc. I spray the entire house and lawn. Works amazing and I use about 1 ounce per gallon. The results are significant. Bifen does leave a residual film and depending on how much rain you get, you will need to apply it more often if you are experiencing a lot of rain. I have a 15 gallon sprayer that I put in the back of the Kubota, a 4 gallon back pack sprayer to get to the areas that do not allow for the Kubota.
Whats up man, picked up this Talstar stuff, cant wait to try it. I used to live in Sandy UT and ya hate hate hate Mosquitos. Then I joined the Army and hate x10 Mosquitos. Hopefully, this ends my Mosquito dilema. Good video man. Take Care.
I had to watch this immediately. The name of my band is And Now All of the Misquotes Are Dead.
Good video but I wouldn’t recommend combining it with products that are meant to be watered in because if your trying to target mosquitoes with Talstar P you don’t want to water it until it dries. Also be careful with the jets you choose with Talstar P vs regular Bifenthrin because Talstar P has an encapsulation technology that can separate under fine mesh filters on certain TeeJets before it gets into the jet opening and will clog. I know because I ran into this trying to spray/cover a 10 acre field before a large public gathering. Just make sure it’s a coarse enough grain.
I like the Compare N Save Bifenthrin. Costs less for the same product
Absolutely!!! Mix that with insect growth regulator and I promise you will have a mosquito free area
You don't need all these chemicals. Dunks... I have a few buckets with water, a dunk and some grass clippings. Haven't seen mosquitos since May and my property butts up to a marsh
Dunks ? Whats that
@@ThelawnPapiGoogle mosquito dunks or mosquito bits. They work really well especially if you get them out early in the season. They also work better in water that's not chlorinated, so try to use rain water or well water if available.
I use bifen I/T. Works just s as well
How To with Doc applies the both of those insecticides at the same time. Mixed together
Bifenthrin needs to be applied monthly at the minimum lifecycle of a mosquito is Two weeks
Like the GZA said, "You gotta read the label" 😎
Who?
@@BrodeyDoverosxthe
GZA bro!!! From the Wu Tang clan!!! WU TANG!!!
I am in GA. This was soooo helpful. I have Cutter. But ordring Talstar!
A critical thing is missing here.. Tekko pro. It kills the larve. 2-for-1 mix that breaks their reproduction cycle.
Put down talstar with my humic and rgs this morning. Great brief and to the point video.
How much talstar and water should you put into an old cutter spray bottle to apply that way ???
Thanks!
Do you have any good recommendations on what to use for snakes?
Let them live, they eat pest.
And you shot this whole video without slapping yourself in an attempt to kill a mosquito. 😜 Good video and info, Jimmy. Thanks!!
Thanks
You got my like by saying you hate mosquitoes like Michael hates Toby
When sun goes down here in Wisconsin the mosquitoes come out of the corn field and forests. We need bee suits there are so many. Spraying my lawn is pointless. It will not work.
You should visit one of the southern states, you would have a newfound appreciation for your Wisconsin mosquitoes.
First Aussie 😁. Jimmy, great information. 😎
🙄 i use cutter every year it doesnt do anything this is my last year buying it doesnt even last the weekend.
I've had the same experience although I believe one summer was enough to convince me. I do still have a bottle but I'll save it for use when I have a big gathering because you're right, it doesn't last more than a weekend. Not for mosquitoes anyway. Going to try dunks first and see how that works for us
Agreed
Talstar is great, but make sure you spray trees!
You need some mosquito dunks.
hey where's your yard mastery backpack sprayer?
In the garage. I use it for weed control.
That stuff wouldn't work here in Mississippi. They are too think.
You didn’t really talk about where mosquitoes live and when to spray. I’m assuming they live in the grass area f you are spraying this in the grass? You have to water this in?
That's a great question. I apologize, I actually recorded this but somehow it didn't get put in.
Mosquitos breed and thrive in west environments. If there is standing water nearby, or moist places, that's where you'll find them. We've had a pretty wet year, the grass is watered regularly as well as the flower beds, so those are pretty common places for mosquitos to hang out.
Use mosquito dunks!!
These products are indiscriminate bug killers. That means it kills bees and butterflies which are key pollinators.
I'M FINE WITH THAT!!!!!!! You clearly don't have a mosquito problem
Also the bees and butterflies don't live in the ground, they can easily go somewhere else
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
unfortunately this also kills bees.
That’s great, fking hate bees and wasps threatening me like they own the place
@@miyuru1 😂😂😂 yep
You just taught everyone how to kill bees. 🤦🏻♂️
I'm pretty sure I said to read the label...
@@JimmyLewisMows from the label. Read and FOLLOW. Dont encourage the unknowing audience of yours. Irresponsible.
“This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds if bees are visiting the treatment area.”
@Greg-zo3rf He said read the label lady. If a person is so dumb as to purchase a product and not even read the label on how to apply, etc, then they'll learn from their mistakes.
Real simple dark bucket water with 1one mosquito dunk there u have ‘the killer bucket 🪣’
