    @Singin2mydeath Next time I'll have them add a please and thank you for you. It is a complaint choir, they allowed these children to vent out what is bothering them. I think it is beautiful.

    There is nothing wrong with giving children a voice. Whether we like it or not no matter what the age they have an opinion, and it is always better to hear it than ignore it.

    akulkis: How? These lyrics were by the kids... And I remember thinking some of these things. At least about teachers overtaking in the queues.

  • @GibsonDreamer
    @GibsonDreamer Před 14 lety +1

    "Rotten message"? Those were the kids' own thoughts! Even the children need to vent out their frustrations, and channeling them to creative energy is much better than kids fighting or throwing tantrums at their parents.
    This is a pleasant change to all that pretentious "positivity" that some teachers (even in high school) talk about while wearing a fake smile, ugh.
    Back to the video itself, great composition!

    @whughey42 Sir, it is a complaint choir. They happen all over the world, this is one of the only ones I've seen that is strictly children. The kids get together and talk about what is bothering them, they make their own lyrics, and they sing about it. It is a great creative exercise for them and a chance to vent out frustration.
    Personally I love how they are trying to keep straight faces the entire time If you want a better understanding check out Helsinki Complaint Choir.

    cont...
    I teach elementary music and I love my job and love the children. We have a great time singing and learning. Not many teachers are as fun as I am, if I may say so.
    Composing music that focuses on complaining and other negative character traits completely defeats the purpose of all that we're attempting to do for these children and for our communities.
    continued next message...

    "Why is life expensive?" "Food has no taste." These really sound more like complaints the kids would hear from their parents...that interests me. I wonder if the kids really feel that way themselves or if they just decided some of their parents' complaints sounded interesting enough to contribute when they were done with (or didn't want to discuss) their own. :)

    I'm sure that you're aware of how hard American teachers work to teach, set an example for, and help to mold the minds and personalities of our children.
    I'm also sure that you're aware of the breakdown of the family, not only in America, but in other countries as well.
    Not only do we teach reading, writing, math, science, music art and physical education, but we also have the added responsibility of teaching character education (basic manners and positive character traits.

      I am also aware that you are clueless and have an inflated self-evaluation and evaluation of teachers. Thank goodness I had better teachers in elementary school.

    in a country that is western and has a high rate of suicide. yea I'm not too shock. It isn't all gloomy in FInland. Finnish are just the best at complaining.notice how the only choir that is on the equator that complains is Singapore. I really do think people that aren't wealthy and they live in First World Nations tend to have extremely more stressful lives than those from middle income countries that are just simply making a living mostly from agriculture. industrial societies are interesting.

    @whughey42 You are taking this way too seriously. I was one of those kids so I can say that we weren't completely serious with this. We were just having fun, so you shouldn't take this as a disturbing and horrible thing.

  • @whughey42
    @whughey42 Před 15 lety

    If this is what's going on in other countries and if it's seen as "cute" and "funny", then its's quite disturbing and so be it.
    Please don't tell me to "chill out" until you've come into my classroom and seen the state that many of these poor children are in.

  • @lordblazer
    @lordblazer Před 14 lety

    the US is no different. I think public schools in the US is quite worse. The culture in Europe is a lot different. Where things seen as moral-deficit. Is a non-issue to many in a lot of european countries. YOu also have to realize that religion doesn't play a big role in many european societies like it does in America. I think there is nothing wrong with this, but so many other Americans go on and on about how this is horrible XD. American public schools are a lot worse in my opinion.
