There's a small number of teachers that I continuously talked about to my mom because I absolutely loved having them, even into college and grad school. I remember once my mom ran into one of these teachers at the grocery store after I had been in college a few years and told them that I still speak highly of them and that teacher was so happy to hear it
I remember my favourite teacher from school: Mr. Wilford. He was strict but kind and he had his own style of teaching. You never forget a teacher like that.
Please tell your favorite teachers how much you appreciate them!! My favorite teacher was amazing. The school board tried to force her into retirement and SO MANY of her former students and parents fought for her! The school board backed off, she 100% knew how loved she was, and she was able to retire by her own choice a few years later ❤ She's passed by now but whenever I'm back home and I see her cheery yellow house, I smile and think of Mrs. Gillock.
My mom always thinks every student forgets her because she was a preschool teacher. She received multiple graduation invites this year alone. Having an impact is incredible. ❤
I love this so much for you! I saw my 5th grade teacher when I was in HS, at a football game. I was in AFJROTC, and standing cordon, and I took it very seriously, lol. I didn't think twice about breaking bearing and hugging her (*gasp* I was hugging, PDA, while in uniform, the horror, the undisciplined horror 😂😂😂). She didn't remember my name, for sure, but I think she saw in my face the love I had for her, and instantly recognized me as one of hers. It was a wonderful moment, and she made me feel little again, and happy, and safe. This 40 year old woman would absolutely plan a whole cookout for Ms. Carney, just to get to be with her again. You, and every other wonder teacher, make the world a better place, over the life of your students. Bless you, up one side and down the other, for the love you spread ❤
That's so cute! I really thought it was a cookout at first bc I would invite my kids’ favorite teachers to a cookout if I was having on. Lol Good teachers are a blessing!!!
Best gift I got in the past year was coworker (Guidance Counselor) reaching out to tell me a student (who STRUGGLED with the transition to high school) told her I was the teacher who most influenced him to keep going every time he wanted to give up. ❤❤❤
My favorite teacher for all 30+ years of teaching read the first book of a series out loud to her class. None of the 100+ books in the series was never available in any library in 100 miles. As an adult i have been collecting the series.😅😅 she also taught math with goldfish. 😊
