    i have a silent rider on my Grizzly 700 it is for sure quiter than stock but mostly takes out the higher pitched pop that you here at idle.the deep rumble is still there due to the 700 powerplant....but my friend has the same one on a honda 250 and its very quite..only thing you here is his engine reving......pretty cool.

    It's still pretty loud.The deer still know what that noise is. I need something that gets'er down to around 40 decibels. We're not sneaking up on a corpse here. My wife's car is so quiet you can't even tell it's running. We need some of that technology for the silent exhaust platform

      You need a lifted battery powered golf cart, that's what I use. Deadly quiet, except for the leaves and sticks crunching.

    Umm u pressed pause on ur Iphone just as you were getting closer to the kolpin exhaust. It wasnt a good test............

      lol yeah, he pressed pause when testing the kolpin exhaust. With the stock exhaust he had a Max reading of 99... And with the Kolpin he had a Max reading of 97.. Hahaha. Although he pressed pause to fool the people, he did not take in account that the Max reading still got the highest value. So yup, i call it a fake fail :D

    Hi,
    Have you used the kolpin exhaust much or did you remove it? Any issues with durability or engine performance? In your opinion, is it a worthy investment? I am thinking about getting one
    Cheers

    Wont that restrict the exhaust even more ? Might be running leaner if thats the case.

    I wonder how it would sound if you put another Kolpin in line? Would it take away another 10 or so decibels?

    The down turn on the Grizzly exaust makes them much dustyer than most other quads ..the exaust blasts straight into the dirt ..stupid

    10% noise reduction for $250 I think I'm good...

    • @anachronisticon
      @anachronisticon Před 5 lety +5

      Decibels are a logarithmic measurement so 10% dB reduction is perhaps twice as quiet in how loud in sounds. Still blocks the tow hitch though.

    • @michaelpinto9357
      @michaelpinto9357 Před 3 lety +2

      Every 3db up or down, sound pressure, or the force/amplitude of the sound is either doubled or halved. So 10db reduction is actually 90% quieter

    • @kevintomb
      @kevintomb Před 3 lety +3

      10 db is a HUGE change in quietness. NOT 10% but 50% quieter. Decibels are logaramithic.

  • @jasonrobbind231
    @jasonrobbind231 Před 5 lety +7

    A 50% reduction from 99db would be what 49.5. I think that's false advertising

    • @henrent

      decibels are logrithmic

    • @niklasalmaas6369

      Nah Dbs are measured weird. Every so many DB is so many times louder/quieter, etc.
