His first solo song, he was so nervous about his voice holding up. The bluesy jazz thing is his signature and favorite style. All the solos on the Wings album are amazing. Jimins Lie is musically amazing, Jungkooks Begin is dedicated to his brothers ie BTS, JHopes Mama is so sweet, RMs Reflection makes me cry, Jins Awake finally gave him a chance to shine vocally, and I have no words for the emotions Suga’s First Love overwhelms me with. All worth a listen.

I don’t believe V ever clarified whether this song is more related to V’s true past or his character’s past, but I’m leaning towards the latter solely based on the fact that V has a very good relationship with his family. I really want to give you the details about his character’s past, but I also don’t want to spoil you. If you’re curious, I recommend watching the uncensored version of their music video for I Need U and the Stigma short film.
And yes, V’s range is incredible. His upper range is more developed than his lower range because he’s encouraged to match the other tenors, but his deep voice is like a comforting hug. Mothers of babies and autistic children have said his voice helps them calm down and fall asleep easier. I love deep voices more than any other because I can feel the sound waves reverberating through my bones. It’s such a soothing feeling.
I believe the BU was written based of the songs of the boys not the other way... V does't have a good relationship with his siblings, at least he didn't a few years ago (well, good is not the world but idk how to say it).. I don't remember when, but he said he didn't talked to them in years.. I don't think it was a fight or something like that, more of they moving apartof each other.. (probably bc trainee days and bts)

Taehyung aka V has the most soulful voice. His range is insane as you witnessed in one song how high and low he can go. His voice is not the typical kpop tenor sound and that's what makes it so wonderful and helps BTS stand apart from all the other kpop boy groups. Yes. V did all the layers. This is really common for Bangtan. Their songs sometimes have tens upon tens of vocal layers for their group songs and they do them themselves. And yes, that was V on the screen when he said, Are you calling me a sinner?
V has my favorite vocals in BTS. I'm a sucker for a powerful baritone but then you add his incredible head voice and wow. He has the biggest range in BTS....and this was back in 2016-2017. I would love to hear him perform this now. He has grown so much vocally since then. He has great vocal control and really commands a stage. He's our neo soul, jazz man

All BTS members have a lot of solo's. Kim Taehyung's solo's and voice is my most favorite. I love his deep baritone, husky and soulful voice. Young Artist today doesn't pay so much attention to neosoul, jazz and classic music.I love his type of songs and his breathy and lullyby voice that can go so deep and high at the same time. Indeed that’s him. This is part of the Bangtan Universe series of music,which begins with “i need you”. This gives each member a fictional back story. When they are apart their world is troubled but when they are together they are happy. This is V’s “ story” and is about domestic violence.

I met V's voice at the end of the first chapter of the drama Hwarang as he started the OST song he performed with Jin; At that moment I fell in love with his voice. In the next chapter V appears and when he spoke, his voice captivated me. When I searched I found out that they were the same person and that they were part of a group that I had never heard of: BTS.
It was January 2017, they were in the era of Wings, I found that he had a solo in which he participated as main songwiter and composer so it was the first thing I heard of the BTS discography and since then it is my favorite song.
I prefer V's deep, gravelly voice because it captivates me, but on Stigma (especially live, which beats the studio version) he demonstrates his capacity and wide vocal range (the widest of the group); in addition to presenting a very special musical style.
This recording was made in 2017, so as you have already noticed in other reactions, V has continued to mature his voice, perfecting his technique, so if one day he were to perform Stigma again I think it would be crazy.
According to RM this song has a special meaning for V but he did not mention what it was (or what specific part), the song is part of the BU (Bangtan Universe) where his character experiences family violence due to a drunk father and for defending his sister attacks him.
By the way, it is V, that video fragment is from the Stigma short film.
Yo también descubrí BTS a través de Hwarang, en 2018. No sabía quién era Kim Taehyung ni BTS hasta que escuché "It`s Definitely You" en dicha serie. Desde ese momento, se abrió para mí todo un mundo de posibilidades musicales que creí no experimentar nunca más. Tengo 69, y soy de la generación "beat", así es que pensé que todo estaba inventado en la música moderna, sin embargo, reconozco que estos chicos me han devuelto la ilusión por conocer cosas nuevas. Verles y escucharles es todo un espectáculo porque nunca defraudan, su profesionalidad y su entrega les hacen especiales. ¡Ah! y centrándonos en el video que estamos viendo, Kim Taehyung para mí es un personaje especial, no será el que mejor canta, ni el que mejor baila, (el más guapo sí que lo es, eso no lo puede discutir nadie), pero tiene una personalidad tan brillante, que deslumbra al primer vistazo, y una voz diferente, lo cual le hace ser único en su especie....

Yo tengo 46 y yo principalmente escuchaba boleros y baladas pero al conocer a BTS comencé a disfrutar incluso el rap que no me agradaba nada.
En cuanto a Tae personalmente pienso que es el mejor cantante de BTS ya que por un lado su tono vocal es único, cuenta con el rango más amplio de todos además de ser la más versátil del grupo. Me encanta la profundidad y dulzura de su voz, pero también cuando es agresiva, aireada, raspada, alta, aguda ...
Es común que la tendencia sea que llamen la atención las notas altas con agudos que son propias de tenores, lo cual es también la base de lo que conocemos como kpop. Pero a algunos nos llaman la atención las graves que además llegan al corazón como la de él, solo una palabra y ya conmueven.

Yo no tengo los conocimientos suficientes para hacer semejante análisis, pero si sé percibir cuando algo es diferente y su voz es perfectamente reconocible entre el resto, no tanto cuando hace falsete, q se parece mucho a Jungkook, sino cuando canta a su aire, a pleno pulmón o en modo profundo, ahí es inconfundible, único.

He never said it was about a "secret". He said Tae never mentioned what it was about.
On this album, they all had solo songs talking about their own thoughts/struggles/journeys, which also tied in the cohesive context of the album series.
This is Vs solo - dedicated to BTS, it also tied in with the storyline of the BU and so forth... 😊

Tae has my favourite singing voice in BTS - I love all of them because they are all so unique, but when it’s late at night, and I can’t sleep and need company, something to soothe my soul, it’s Tae that I listen to…And Yoongi, but he is a rapper of course.
I would seriously recommend all the members solo tracks from this album, they are all amazing and representative of their individual talents. But fair warning, you will fall for ALL of them 😂🤷♂️ Yoongi’s First Love breaks me apart…Hobi’s Mama brings tears to my eyes, and I miss my Mum…Jimin’s Lie is one of the best songs I have ever heard, and if you watch it live, his choreo will blow your mind…But all of them are brilliant, truly - even if you just listen/watch in your own time, it’s cool. Wings is maybe my very favourite album, every single song is amazing and you can’t go wrong

I watched a vlive of his that he did for his bday a few years back. I know that you won't be able to react to it. But it was him playing his favorite songs mostly BLUES, JAZZ AND R&B. His voice is SMOOTH, VELVETY AND SO SOULFUL.... THE POWERS THAT B OF BTS REALLLLLLLLLLLY FOUND 7 GEMS THAT REALLY COMPLIMENT ONE ANOTHER. AND I WILL FOREVER BE A FAN!!!
"To die would be an awfully big adventure" is a quote from the Harry Potter books. It's said by Dumbledore. The small script that you couldn't read on the bottom left of the box was a quote from the book, "Demian". There are a lot of quotes from that book in the Wings era videos. This song is from the Wings album. Yes, that was V on the screen. I could be wrong but I think it's RM that says the English line, not V. It's sounds more like RM to me, anyway. Also, the terms "brother" and "sister" don't necessarily mean blood siblings. Any close male near in age is addressed as older brother and he same for any female that he is close to. It's part of the Korean culture. Since it's spoken in English, we don't know if he's speaking to a blood sibling or if the person is older or younger.
All of the solo songs from this era are extremely personal to each member. The other six have all explained what their songs are about, but V never has. RM hinted that maybe the song holds some of V's secrets. RM's solo song Reflection is where the lines "I wish I could love myself" come from. Just that should give you an idea of what his song is about. Jimin's song, Lie, is about the way he felt trapped by his public persona and the expectations of the fans. He didn't see himself the way that ARMY did and he felt as if he was "caught in a lie". JK's solo is about how much the other members mean to him. Yoongi's song is about his love for music and an old piano that was his first introduction to music. J-Hope's song is a tribute to his mother and everything she did to support him. Jin's song is another heart-breaker. It's about him feeling as though he's holding the others back and that he will never be as good as them. He expresses that they might be better off without them but, at the same time, he doesn't want to leave them. Taehyung/V, RM, Jimin, and Jin all have songs that are extremely vulnerable and sad. Thankfully, they no longer feel what's expressed in these songs. It's still breaks my heart to hear them, though.

Thank you for your reaction. I think (maybe I mistranslated) that he's singing about his past self. That he stigmatized himself (stigma) put himself in a drawer, which in turn means that others only think in one direction... So that he simply hurt himself through his actions in the past, i.e. his inner self... and that he would like to apologize for it. Hach, I don't know how best to put it... he apologizes to his younger self, so to speak. Well, at least that's what I think.
