Off road ONLY ?
Your are correct, unfortunately it is considered an off-road vehicle only. We have heard of some jurisdictions approving it for on-road use with certain restrictions and modifications but we cannot make any reccomendations.
Do these have locking differentials?
Good question. They come from factory with open diffs, but there are aftermarket options for locking kits

I think they should be cheaper. Too much for an old school Jeep.

Not a sxs. Sorry mahindra but it possess zero sidexside qualities. Suspension from the 40s and the acceleration of a geo metro. Just call it a shitty jeep impersonation and sell it to that market. Stop trying to compete in a class that you dont belong in.
Perhaps a better designation would be a UTV? (Technically still a class of SxS... but doesn't bring up the sporty nature most people think of)
@@crystaltractor it's a jeep. The only reason it's not considered a street legal motor vehicle is so that Mahindra could bypass all safety and environmental requirements for the road. This keeping the price down and profits up. This is in no way a UTV or sxs. It's a jeep
@@Jizden_Mipanz i 2nd this. it has an H pattern gearbox, leaf springs, AND you can get it with heat, A/C and locking doors.. its not even close to a side by side OR a UTV. even the UTV market is hydraulic or cvt drive. their right its a side by side like no other because its not a side by side, its a automobile that didn't have to go through all the red tape to be road legal. id still buy one though, neat asf.

it's basically a modernized ww2 jeep and those things were tough, badass and could go just about anywhere.
I am to tall for a cj5, which is what it seems to be to me, or I would jump on that thing over a overpriced go cart / lawnmower hybrid sxs toy
