In my opinion volvo c30 handles very well, it's just a focus mk2 with little bit more comfortable suspension and more safety features. It still can be a sports car as it comes with in-line 5 2.4 or even 2.5t
It’s handles amazing with some Mazda 3 coils, stiff bushings, and some decent tires.

my family has had a mini for about 10 years its only real problem during this time was the cooling, once fitted with a cooling fan and a manual switch it was honestly great for its age and miles

I absolutely loooove hot hatches. The c30 is beautiful especially when modded cosmetically. I also love the speed 3's, the rs, the a3's and the mini coopers, and damn near every car on this list 😂

I got a 2013 hyundai accent hatchback and its a beast for $4k I got it for. I added some aftermarket wheels a new muffler and got some coilovers and emblem change on the way.

at first I dont like to see scion mainly looking like a big toaster but it kinda grew on me when I see them slammed to the ground. Might want to get in to it as long as its hella reliable and low gas milage 💀

mark you messed up on the xb, the xb 2008+ has 158 horsepower and 3050lbs whereas the 2004-2006 (better looking) has 108 horsepower and 2450lbs

I drive a focus st myself and am just wondering why the interior should be bad.
The seats are very comfortable and certainly looks better than a gti.
I didn't even know that the ST MK3 had a 2.3L engine.
PS: I'm from Germany, we only have it with 2.0L

Im kind of sad that the Dodge Caliber SRT-4 wasn't on this list. People call it a wagon but the Dodge Magnum is actually their wagon model, some call it an SUV but the Durango is their SUV model, Dodge Caliber is their only hatchback model. Plus their SRT-4 model comes stock with 250+ HP and is capable of handling almost 700HP. Mods are hard to find but with some good searches and good websites you'll find what you're looking for easily. You can get a stock SRT-4 used for around $8000 and they're a blast to drive around, mine is almost at 200,000 miles and still going strong. Had to replace some things since I got it in 2021 and the thing is just a tank. I don't think I could have asked for a better first car. Highly recommend anyone who reads this look into the Dodge Caliber, once you get some tint, custom wheels, and coils/air on it the car looks so different. Also you will see a lot of talk about them being unreliable asf, take it from someone who uses one as a daily. They're just as reliable as a modern day car, or if you plan on using it as a project car they're just as reliable as a project car.

the R53 is not at all unreliable. the next generation is the R56 which had notorious engine issues with the N14.
