Welcome to my guitar journey! New Year's resolutions can be kept; goals can be achieved. New Year's Eve, heading into 2023, I made a commitment to play guitar every day of 2023. I have prior experience, but needed to re-learn how to practice guitar. While many may consider the playing I did over the course of the year as mediocre, I stuck with it day after day and made improvements. These videos are dedicated to anyone out there with the desire to play guitar. Even if it's only for 5 minutes, pick up your instrument, tune it up, and play it... Every Darn Day! I accomplished a goal of 365 continuous days of making contact with a guitar. You can do it too! Learn to play the guitar and make some noise!

Well done, I have been playing for 25 years and my biggest tip to anyone is play every day even if it's only for 15 mins and also learn full songs just not riffs and bits and bobs. Also learn the notes on the low E string ASAP it's easy.

These are just the types of comments I was hoping for. Thank you for sharing your experience. I agree, one key is to avoid days of zero connection to the guitar. Even 5 minutes is better than no time and keeps momentum moving in the right direction. I did not focus on learning full songs, but instead attempted to practice something different each day. This coming year I will focus on repertoire. After all, what’s the point if you can’t play songs for an audience? Finally, I agree that learning the notes on the guitar neck, at least on the low E and A strings, needs to be a priority.
