Love this explanation .thanks !
Musicians!
Pay very close attention! This is the good stuff! 🎸! Enjoy!!
Thanks Jack!
I really like the way you laid this out. Very useful.
Thanks for watching, Jay! 🙏
Nice, common sense type approach, allowing for people to get more music-theory about it later, but this makes the most sense, in order to get someone started, and actually most of what they might need. Thanks for this useful lesson!
Thanks for checking it out 🤘It’s a nice 3-part framework to have for chord melody and Dan demonstrates it beautifully.
Thanks for this! I’m a blues guitarist learning jazz and this is some great study material for how to connect chord tones with passing notes to create melody
Thanks Branden! Check out some of the other lessons I have on my channel for blues guitarists 👍
beautiful. Skill is what you acquire when you put in the time and effort to develop your talent.
Well put! 👍
Very well done seminar, Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it, George! 🤘
Excellent lesson. New subscriber.
Dan is so good... sheesh 😂 Makes it sound easy! But it is easy (eventually)
He really is 👌

Thanks for watching Michael! 🤘
Amazing man, it's like rocket science, but you make it look so easy.
Glad you like it!
This is exactly what I want to be able to do but dang, my playing is sooo bad yet this looks like it should be so simple 😭
His playing was bad a long time ago too. We have to stick with it!
great ! i play it but i have to learn chords ! lol ! very chords voicin !
So what’s the “one skill”?
Ha. Find the two notes. Melody note and bass note, obviously.
Nah dude. Don’t laugh at the guy asking the question here. You have the wrong answer for him. Playing the bass note with the melody note is NOT the one skill. That’s just an appetizer. The one skill is understanding what interval the melody note is in relation to the underlying chord, and having a voicing for that in whatever position you find yourself as you go along. Obviously.
Instead of playing the bass note simultaneously with the melody note, why not play the entire chord including the base note simultaneously with the melody note?
Because you can create many different chord types based on a bass note and a melody note. So this lets you hear those options and try them out before deciding on only option.
