- Join Mark and me on a Brew Day Experience, when we visit the microbrewery at the Brewhouse and Kitchen in Lichfield (www.brewhouseandkitchen.com/venue/lichfield).
We were invited to take part in the beer making experience, which involves spending a day making beer with the head brewer. If you enjoy home brewing or if you're just interested in how to make beer, this is a day out that you'll love.
Watch as we prepare the mash, filter the grains, add the hops, mix up the yeast, and kick off the fermentation process.
And you can see Mark do some top quality cleaning as well!

What an educational tour! My wife would enjoy the experience! so much cleaning to do tho.
Very informative video! the voice over helped a lot understanding everything! Great work :)
My husband would love this tour, so much interesting things to see around.
I have been to many breweries and done many beer tastings but have never actually brewed my own beer. Really cool experience - thanks for sharing.
What a great experience and learning more about how beer is made. I love getting the chance to make something myself and my partner would love this as he does have a soft spot for beer :)
Interesting! Nicely edited and put together. :-)
Thanks Nikki!
Love breweries! Pale ale is my favorite kind of beer as well!
So cool. Im not a fan of beer but have always wanted to take a brewing class just to try it out.
Oh my husband would love this! What a fab experience although I’m not generally a fan of the smell of the hops from when I was younger and went to college in a town where they had a big brewery. X
What an exciting experience!
That looks like great fun, expect the cleaning that is, haha...and you get a wee certificate and of course it's all about the tasting!
Very well explained! I'd love to try it one day, in fact I visited Guiness factory in Dublin once and I still remember the smell of it :)
Love beer! So maybe I should channel that passion into making my own haha. This looks like such good fun!
That's exactly how Gabriele, the head brewer, got into the industry - you can't beat turning your passion into a job, can you?
This looks like a great experience. I spent years working in pubs so I find this really interesting, I never really knew how beer was made before.
Same here, Kirsty - I used to work in a pub and it was really interesting to see this side of it.
Looks like you both had such a fun day out! I loved watching the brewery process and listening to your explanations
Thank you!! It was a really fun day :-)
What a cool place and great experience! It's a very enjoyable and informative video! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks!
This is a flawless day out. I will try and check out this brewery. I have been to a fair few, but none in England.
It was really interesting to see how a microbrewery operates, compared to the much bigger breweries!
What a cool place to visit!
Thanks!
I'm not a drinker but my husband brews at home.
What a cool experience - it's so hands on which is really amazing. I wouldn't like the cleaning out bit, it's to much like doing the dishes at home lol
Did you notice that I stayed behind the camera during the cleaning parts...smart move, I think!
Hi Sally! Is Gabriele the Head brewer of Brewhouse and kitchen Lichfield! Really liked the video! Good job! Hope to see you around to try our beer!
Hi Gabriele, lovely to hear from you! I'm glad you liked the video, we had such a great day with you - will definitely be back over for another visit soon!
I don't drink beer myself, but seeing the process of how its made is interesting. Cool that you watch it being made as you eat at this restaurant! Can anybody come in to make beer? is it a sign up beforehand type thing? Or do you have to be certified or something?
You do have to book on to the experience (the details are on the website) but you don't need any certification to take part. And of course, if you're visiting the restaurant while a Brew Day is taking part, you'll be able to watch it while you eat :-)
Sign me up for a nice cold brew lol
It was so good! I'm usually more of a wine drinker, but I really enjoyed the pale ales at the Brewhouse and Kitchen
