ITB Berlin 2018 Highlights

- In March 2018 I paid a flying visit to Berlin, to visit the ITB Berlin travel and tourism trade show.
It's an amazing event which takes place every March at the Berlin Messe exhibition centre. 26 halls are filled with fantastic stands, representing 10,000 companies and organisations from over 100 countries.
The event lasts five days - the first three are trade and press only, but on Saturday and Sunday the show is open to the general public. A total of 170,000 people visited over the five days of ITB Berlin 2018.
I made the mistake of only planning to visit on the second day of the show - but I just couldn't cover it everything in that time. Next year I'm staying for longer!
ITB Berlin covers familiar destinations from all around the world, and not so familiar destinations as well. Keep your eye open for a very special 'cruise' option towards the end of the video!

Wow what a HUGE show! And what an incredible variety of things to see!! Great tips on the shoes & water...looks like so much walking.
That trade show has booths that look like the one I went to in LA a couple months ago. Ours was opened to the public as well as the press, but for only a couple days for the entire show.
That looks like so much fun! My sister & brother-in-law are (for some unknown reason) obsessed with VWs. So they would drool over the shots you had of the bugs! Sorry you only had 1 day!

We've never been to a travel and tourism trade show, on top of that we have yet to visit Berlin. This place looks really huge and so much to see with all the vendors there. My wife and I will need to visit a travel trade show somewhere in California. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, this looks great. I never knew about it before.
This is so cool! We used to host something like this (on a much, much smaller scale of course) at my school and it was amazing to feel like you were traveling the entire world in one single building. Don't even worry about the sound quality, it happens to all of us ;)

Berlin is a fantastic city, one of my favourites, but I didn't get to see any of it really this time. I'll just have to go back!

I realised recently that all I really know about germany is from History and the Second world war I really need to go and experience modern day Germany! This expo looked amazing Did you only go to berlin for the one day or was it just one day at the expo?
what mic do you normally use to block out background noise? i need to get one too.
I don't ;-) I edit out the audio track in post and then record a separate voiceover using the lapel mic in the description box below!
Do you find it difficult to pair the audio back with the video then??
