You can tell that the Strokes are nice guys cause their music goes between trying to give out some joy and relating to people who haven't got any

Cristina s I'm sorry, but this video really just doesn't do the song justice. You spend half of the video watching these dull metallic orbs, and then the other half watching water pour off a woman's face. It doesn't do anything new artistically that hasn't been done in a moisturizer commercial.

It's crazy how this album grows on you.. I don't think any other album has ever been so infectious as this one..

Especially because the first time around it was the way more comforting "... and you look for me". Now when you get to this part you expect to hear this again, but what actually comes on is now very much in contrast with your expectation, making it even more impactful. That's what I think atleast.
This song reminds me of my terrible days of anxiety during middle school.
I would skip school and stay home listening to the strokes. It was a very embarrassing condition. Everybody would call me lazy and retarded for not going to school because of anxiety

The one thing about this band I love so much is how poetic they are, it’s not Julians voice or his lyrics. But the instrumentals, they way they work so well together is extraordinary. My favorite band EVER, with some people they don’t understand the lyrics to most of the songs which totally sucks. I feel it’s only for those who can really connect to it, to really understand the whole depth. I wish they would create more material in the future, or at least be able to see one of their shows in person.

People who say this album is bad are living in the past. Bands evolve new sounds and as a listener to music your taste in music has to evolve as well. This album is great . Most songs still have a signature strokes sounds so give it another listen and it will grow on you.
To all the people saying this is a boring video, one thing I noticed about this song is that it's even better when you close your eyes and just focus on the song. What if the strokes realized this? Because if I would have realized it, I would have put a calm video to keep the viewers from being distracted. Because distractions really take away from this song

This hits hard for me in ways that I struggle to describe. In the right mood, it brings me to tears because somehow, it feels like my own pain is being translated to into a song that many can relate to. I feel understood. Comforted, despite the melancholy.
