    👍The winners had Bosch CX engines.
    Isn't it time to review the rules on how long it takes from when you stop pedaling until the engine stops powering, as Bosch has a longer "over run" time than other engines😊
    Regarding the Pole voima, I would very much like to own one, but apparently it is only a bike for traveling on steep slopes, as it has this sickly steep seat angle😉

      @S14AA Před 8 měsíci +1

      yea is there any limit on over run ?

      @@S14AA
      👍It would be really interesting to find out.
      What an advantage of "over run" to be able to roll up over a steep, rocky section, to be able to avoid the pedals strike, without losing speed and thereby avoiding a possible stop.
      It could be that the rest of all the engine manufacturers can affect this "over run" on their team's bikes through software.
      But winners also win in sales, which is the biggest win😊

      @@kentnilsson9757 Hard to say because like anything there are positives and negatives to everything. For instance, sure getting up over stuff with the extra run is nice but it's less useful and more of an annoyance in tight turns. Same for some of the motors that have more torque. They are great for spurts but you end up having to drop modes to keep traction in steeper loose stuff. I think that is kind of what makes the climbing sections of the race so great. Having a different approach than your competition, whether it be a tune, geo, etc. Personally I'd like to see the E-EDR do a full enduro day race as well. One 60 mile track with a mix of ups and downs throughout the whole course. A true all mountain race.

      @@_Jake.From.Statefarm_ The "over run" Bosch has is above all a great advantage in stony sections with large stones, as it becomes easier to maintain speed and avoid the pedals hitting stones.
      I have noticed and learned over the years that a weak SL Emtb has many more advantages than your full power heavy Emtb, IF you rebuild it by increasing the suspension travel and therefore increasing the BB. It is lighter and more flexible to be able to quickly change track selection.
      I have ridden XC and Enduro most of my now 58-year-old life and bought my first Emtb Canyon spectral ON 9.0 in 2019, which I rebuilt from 150mm travel to 170mm Öhlin coil front and rear, which then became a greater opportunity to be able to ride in progressively worse terrain.
      This was like jumping back 20 years in life from having found some "new" really fun occupation.
      I then bought a SL Orbea Rise on which I only kept the Carbon frame and changed everything to Carbon and Shimano XTR, which also got 170MM Öhlin but air front and rear. The Orbean was a bit slower with 60Nm of torque as opposed to 70Nm on the Canyon but was a bit lighter.
      My latest build is a Specialized turbo levo SL 35Nm frame kit that I bought for almost half the new price (when the new version just arrived) to be able to build an even lighter Emtb. This got a rebuilt Fox Factory 36 fork to 170mm and everything in Carbon and XTR. This wonderful bike made me so happy that I bought and built another one at the same reduced price😊.
      What will be my next project to rebuild (if there is no frame kit to buy) will probably be a Mondraker with Bosch's new SL motor with 600W pik power IF......it has this "over run" and would also nice if you could lower the cadence to be able to get this 600W pik power😊.
      The advantage of these SL Emtb is that you get sooooo much fitness in the most fun way there is and I have never been in better physical shape than I am now😅
      So the optimal Emtb is, a SL with 300-400Wh battery (with possible range extender) 170mm suspension travel, high BB, 50Nm torque, with 500 pik power😘

    Steve, when are you going to get to ride one of these?

  • @mwesb1994
    @mwesb1994 Před 8 měsíci

    It would seem to me that the energy output for E-EWS is more demanding than EWS. The EWS race was shorter and 800 m of climbing and around 3600m of descending. The E-EWS includes technical climb sections and has substantially more downhill (over 4000m) over 10 stages with heavier bikes. I am completely anaerobic when descending at race speeds - so, it looks to me that the E-EWS is more demanding on the riders.
