Best ever Lambo mercielago ever created for the street. Haltech is mind-blowing, just finished watching Mad Mikes P1 McLaren being made in 90 days, he is as mental as you. Love to see this car @ Goodwood FOS, its utterly stunning.
Thanks man. Yeah that thing is wild!
The team at Haltech Aus seem to live for their product- good choice.
Once again, the greatest looking and sounding, road going Murcielago on the planet.
🙏 Thanks man!
Scott is Australia? That'll be "tuning fork" as he's known to any Might Car Mods fans 👌🏻
Yeah I thought that too!
😂
The only one missing now is Turbo Yoda😂
@@hydrotricine aspirated Yoda
@@jamesbaker4582 Independently aspirated Yoda🤣
Still the greatest build on CZcams...nasty, evil, angry... this is what a Lamborghini should look like!
🙏
Jay is an absolute weapon and mad man. He’s wearing a hoodie 😳.
Blimey, it's no wonder you haven't put out a video for a while - poor Jay looks like he's lost the will to live!!!
Haha, don't worry, he always looks like that 😂
Those Nexus ECUs are a game changer. Great to see this car getting some love!
Yeah, it seems superb so far.
England win a semi final and a Drift Works video about the Murcielago, life is good!
👍
Adjusting the ITBs looks like an absolute nightmare, what a pain. Love the content though! Kassel makes a nifty little mount for the e46 air pipe that adds a MAP sesors between the ITB and the pipe, looks very OEMish.
12:13 The Quote of the Day: “a little bit more time-consuming than we thought it would be” 😂 #V10M3
I still need to get all of these things put on a Tshirt one day 😂
I agree on the placement of those EGT boxes. the line of ITB stacks draws your eyes towards the firewall and your brain subconsciously makes that "the centre" of the car eventhough it technically isn't
two tips my brain farted out , extra large desk mouse pads are great for wiring jobs on vehicle roof / spoilers etc , also Jay if your struggling with wire colours try wearing some polarising sunglasses and see if that helps....
Best looking mercielago i ever seen
Thanks 👍. Did you see the last episode on the car. It had a few more visual shots.
@@driftworks yes I did bro🫱🏽🫲🏾
Love it. The Haltech setup looks so cool.
Awesome video. I love the technical stuff and the attention to detail you have. Can’t wait to see it tuned on the dyno.
Thanks man! 👍
Haltech Australian made 💪
Yes yes yes yes yes yes
YEESSSSSS
I can't wait to hear it properly tuned and running
For me this is one of the best modified lamborghinis ever
I actually get more excited to watch lamb videos than m3 lol
I was just thinking at work today I was getting short of good content to watch and here it is!
Blimey, that Lamborghini sounds good😍
Another fine vid lads, cheers 🍻
🙏 Thanks man!
After driving through Birmingham I'm frankly amazed anyone there can have any passion for cars
Why?
You're work is an art, and looks unbeliveble.....
🙏 Thanks man!
That opening b reel camera move was spot the f$&k on. So sic dude. Phil my lust for this car helps me understand the why, the end result is perfect, your body guy killed it.
Thanks man. It's from the release film my buddy Al from @outrunfilms made czcams.com/video/lqCBZIZS3bE/video.html
@@driftworks thanks for the link
That little flow meter synchronizer doohicky is brilliant! I wish I had that back in my day's as a Honda motorcycle mechanic. Doing CBXs and carbed Goldwings the old fashioned way is kind of a nightmare
Yeah it's been very useful on all of my ITB builds over the years.
Respect for that tuning session and all the wiring and pinning stuff is fucking hard graft
🙏
Absolutely stunning. Keep up the great work. Atb.
I love ITB's
They're the best.... And a PITA 😂
I love your builds. Some of my favorite builds
Thanks man 🙏
I know you work hard and do a lot of the work yourself Phill, but damn, I imagine you must pinch yourself to make sure you are not leaving a dream.
Love your fleet!
Thanks man. Yeah it's definitely still nuts to me when I stand back and think about it.
I’m always amazed to see your cars don’t end up at goodwood FOS, you must surely have been invited?! This feels like such a worthy car to be one of the biggest crowd pleasers!
Love this car. Was hoping to see the Dyno stuff. But....next time... Nice work on getting the haltech up and going. Cheers as always. 😊
Yeah next vid on the car 👍
Beautiful car and great episode, looking forward to the dyno session
Thanks man!
Great work
Best channel on CZcams!!
Big compliment, thank you 🙏
Great video to come back to after messing about with my F87 M2's exhaust 👍
Cheers 👍
Naughty car dude lap of spa would be a sick video
It needs to happen! it won't be as fast as my E30 M3, but will make all the good noises.. One day I'll do one lap of Spa and the Nurburgring!
Yessss back with another DW vid 👊👊👊
🙏
Good old tuning fork
On the button!
Watch the glasses in the heat with the springy frame, i've warped high quality lenses before!
Phil, suggestion for a present to Jay, get him some "color blind" glasses.
He's looked into them as he wan't to get a race license.
Tried them didn’t work for me
@@JayDontGotThis Sorry to hear that, that is truly a bummer.
Congratulation on the compression test.
😂 Cheers
Lambroverghini is alive!
😂
Ah the joys of angry pixies all singing in harmony after a lick and a tickle you just can;t beat a haltech all the lambo needs now is a turbo barra shoehorned in the back and it would be the perfect lambo😂😁 jay looks like he be needen a pizza and a turntable after this one cheers from down under
I love the cars and the content. Sometimes I don't understand the issues and thought processes. DBW throttles and you want to put idle valves? Best thing about DBW is being able to delete idle valves 😂 also you can have a VE based table that is Alpha N. ITBs are not and don't have to be a nightmare.
@9:51 Wait, what kind of mind fuckery is this? There's 2 Jays?!?!?!
One that the driver's door and another at the wing?!?!?!🤯🤯🤯
😂 He moves like that dude from Mr Deeds.... Sneaky
A ride in that would be nice I think
🔥🔥🔥
I feel Jays pain in the color blind department. As a color blind HD mechanic that get all the complicated electrical issues at the dealership.
Dope ❤
🙏
I believe on the e46 M3 OEM setup the Idle control valve throttles the motor at very small ''throttle'' opening %, instead of the actual throttle plates opening. That's why the idle air supply tube is fairly large. Don't quote me on it but Iirc thats how they deal with getting itbs more driveable
It does yes, that was the plan. But it turns out we don't need it. It idles and falls to idle superbly currently 😎
love this build, but those intakes with no mesh is giving me the fear
Great to see this car with 12 itbs.... its a race car.... i cancel my new Bugatti tourbillon coz it does not have 16 itbs....
😂 👍
Such a tough job owning the most amazing Merci! Aha!
As the engine rpm will alter a little, during the butterfly stop adjustments, if you have two meters/gauges that read the same, leave one on the first cylinder and use the other for each butterfly adjusted and set it to the same as the first's setting. That way you're always referencing a known value.
It wasn't shown, but I assume you went back to the first to check it against the original value, maybe every third, as well, to check for drift?
Yeah everything was triple checked. Some needed further adjustment while tightening the clamp at the bar too. They are absolutely spot on perfect.
Go back to throttle cables 😂, poor Jays heads turned
I can't say I haven't thought about it, but it's not going back. There never were cables. So the linkage would be a nightmare and the throttle pedal would feel like a clutch pedal.
That’s true great video
seems like it needs a roof scoop
Cylinder #9 is 150? Sounds like the engine needs to come out and a set of 13:1 pistons and some angrier cams ought to go into it...
so you help DDE for the race widebody kit damon say he have help for put the kit ?
I didn't. Damon asked me for help to make the same car as mine, but it's not possible.
@@driftworks ok so someone help him for list some parts
What are you going to run for air filters? Need them to protect the engine or you really will end up down on compression!
I have an airbox design in mind. It's just the small matter of having it designed and made in carbon fibre.
I have a haltech and ITB on my ls1 and there was no way to get a good map off the map senser . Even with a vacuum block.
It uses tps for load.
Same. That's what we ended up doing on the dyno yesterday.
is it getting a fire extinguisher system fitted?
No they're not much use as the nozzles are never pointing where you need them. It of course has a handheld extinguisher, as do most of my cars.
Does the UK have a company that specializes in creating custom stainless or inconel header shielding? There's a really great company stateside that does amazing work and if that engine is as hot as it looked it would definitely help out.
Yeah there are loads. Motorsport is a pretty big thing over here so there are loads of options. I ideally don't want to hide the headers, otherwise I would have had them shielded.
Missing the lambo theme song
I need to go back on an old hard drive to find it.
is there a video of the bodywork on the murci?
There's a whole playlist for the entire build here czcams.com/play/PL7Sa6Yg2JDv2CRLvBSbSYvoJN3q6D8iZF.html&feature=shared
Music at the video outro?
#dde
Any reason for VE over Alpha N? From setting my bodies up on a stroked V8 I couldn’t get enough vacuum to even bother with VE. 80kpa at idle doesn’t help!
Same problem here, and a bit of a misunderstanding when we were talking to our tuner. It's being tuned Alpha N not VE 👍
@@driftworks thanks for the reply and clarification guys. Good luck with it. I wish I had all your sensors, very jealous of the EGT’s in every branch!
Can i ask why running VE and not Alpha-N for the ITB setup?
It was a misunderstanding between our tuner and Jay, it's being mapped Alpha N, he just wanted the map signal for reference.
10:08 is that cracks on the ITB's??
I guess it's the bases of the trumpets you're talking about. They are 3D printed, I still need to get them made properly, but it has no effect on anything.
Re “Fowling the plugs”, was a chicken sucked into the engine? ;-)
Haha, GSCE C in English and editing the video while at the dyno filming the next video 😂
@@driftworksthanks for making me a laugh and keep up the good work. I especially love your work on the Lambo and the 964.
Reminds me of Daigo Saitos Murcielago...
Well done to both of, you to het this running, looked like a right bitch. Jay on the wiring ( i Can't believe he's colour blind and still managing to wire it properly and Phil on the welding and balancing of the throttle balancing ( Phil check out Iain Tyrrell for Old skool balancing with a Rubber Hose) and Scotty aka Tuning Fork for sorting out the issues in Australia.
Looking forward to the Dyno session.
As well as being the Best Looking Lambo it's going to sound the best Lambo.
One question are you going to fit an air filter with a cold air. feed?
Thanks man.Yeah I've watched Iains videos. Love the method. This is the way to get it properly accurate though.
Yeah, an airbox has been the plan since day one. It's a massive expensive project though. I can't run it much longer open ITB though. So will have to get it sorted.
His name is tuning fork, not Scott please
😂 Is that really what people call him?
compression testers should be banned....cant wait to see it on dyno❤
Leave it to the colonies to get it right, in this case the prison colonies.
Allen MIllyard made a tool for carb adjustment in this video - czcams.com/video/2objiwe4zvU/video.html
For some reason I was unsubscribed 😢
Not the first person I've heard that from unfortunately. Not sure what games YT is playing with our account and subscribers.
Add "Engine Restore" to the oil. As reccommeded by Project Farm. I have a 2006 A4 2.0TFSI 181K miles and has great compression thanks to that stuff.
Really? What was the before and after?
Fukin hell!
