the scene they did not cover..... the fact that Joyce drank the drugged coffee made perfect sense. But Murray....super paranoid Murray....lives in basically a bunker away from society because he thinks someone is out to get him Murray....drank coffee from a total stranger that he literally said he didn't trust. But all the crazy supernatural stuff to the side, THAT was the most unbelievable thing that happened in the entire season.

Jonathan Byers went from one of the best characters in the show in Seasons 1 and 2 to a comedic relief pothead with one good scene across the entirety of Season 4.
Well they wanted to pair nancy with steve so had to degrade jonathan somehow !!
They don't really know what to do with the Byers kids anymore. Guess season 5 is going to be centered on them

I miss Jonathan being a capable protector and big brother. Seasons 3 and 4, it just felt like he was along for the ride.
Its mainly cause the actor got in trouble by getting busted with some coke. So the writers were like, well if you not gonna care about your image, we are just gonna ruin your character. I think that's probably how it went down.
This was the one time I found the bully jock trope scarier than the monster. Just get him angry and put a gun in his hand. Genius writing. That scene when they were buying guns and almost got caught gave me chills.

I'm mad they didn't show how Nancy's group returned from upside down. It would be nice if there's a scene where they saw Dustin holding Eddie but instead we got nothing and It's like there were no reaction from them about his death.

What year is Season 4 taking place in again? Season 1 was November of 1985, season 2 October/November of 1986, season 3 was June/July of 1987, I'm not sure how many months passed between seasons 3 and 4. I know the Byers and Eleven moved in August of 87', and it was like 120-something days, so that would be about 4 months? So then season 4 is in December of 87'?

He was completely fine because he was a ghost, hopper actually died in season 3 and he doesn't know he's dead
My gf at the end of season 4 commented why is Dustin the only one with any injuries? He got hurt falling like 8 feet and he’s got a terrible limp. Everyone else is fine
Can we all just agree that Billy’s one good deed doesn’t cancel out him being a giant POS for the rest of his existence. He literally bullied Max and didn’t even acknowledge her existence until his last few minutes on Earth.

i wish we could’ve seen at least one more scene between him and Max before everything went down with Karen and the Mind flayer. He seemed to be leaving Max and her friends alone and Max’s attitude towards him was a lot less antagonistic in S3- she even cried when he was crying and never talked abt him doing anything bad to her anymore. That to me makes it seem like their relationship had at least some growth and his sacrifice wasn’t out of nowhere.
Don't leave out that he was a proud racist.

The scariest thing about Jason is that he took justifiable grief and turned it into a reason to violently enforce his biases and turn a blind eye to any evidence that might contradict them.
I mean what evidence did he see?
I mean, the cops quite literally told him and the town chrissy was there for drugs and he gets violently angry when someone brings this up.

@@Umirua yeah, he was blinded by his rage, and used everything at his disposal to enforce it, but the alternative reasoning was so supernatural that it wasn’t something he could consider. I don’t entirely blame him, but he had it coming.
I mean he did watch his friend get lifted in air at the lake then killed brutally. In his head that all seemed to be Eddy too. So I feel like it made perfect sense he reacted the way he did. He thought a cult with with real satanic magic he had witnessed existed and he felt the cops were stupid and useless (which aside from Hopper they kind of have been the whole series).

I can't believe no one is mentioning El's super sister from season 1. They met during a single episode and I have been waiting for her to get pulled back into the show. I mean the ability to make people see whatever she wants. Did Vecna kill her and take that power? If not, that could be pretty damn helpful.
She is not from season 1, but 2
First up: Super sister was introduced season 2, not 1. And Secondly her storyline iirc was very poorly received by audiences so I doubt she'll be back.
Like they said, she's from Season 2, but tbh, I felt they wrote that season off, since One killed every other kid at the Lab, then how did she "escaped"?

And also brings attention to the fact that Vecna's plan might have actually worked out had he not boasted the mobility of an eighty year-old after three hemorrhagic strokes.
Hopper got his ankle broken enough to fold his foot in half but somehow he managed to walk and run with no problem. Couldn't we have seen him hop around a few minutes.

Missed opportunity of this season released last year so there will be a story of David Hopper in Russia for a year.
NGL after this season Eddie is my no.1 fav character(He took Jonathan's spot for me) and he will my no. 1 always no matter what, cuz he fought for Hawkins, even tho everyone in the town hated him and wanted to kill him. Also that Master of puppets scene was truly epic 🔥🔥

Honestly, Jason's death was pretty disturbing. Sure, he was a jerk and even nearly killed Lucas, but he was reasonably upset and crazy. His death was just brutal.

That death sequence was so dumb it kind of ruined the ending of the season for me. I mean they all knew what they were going to face and how did Eddie prepare for his role? Some protection for body, face or throat? No, he didn't even close his jacket!
@@Mamontiny He was planning to bolt out of there when the distraction time was over... There was no original intention to fight.
That changed when he realized they hadn't bought enough time, & didn't want to just leave the trailer while everything followed them through to the other side.
@@Mamontiny Remember, he was planning on hiding in the fortified trailer with Dustin. When the bats broke through the second vent and they had to seal off the side of the trailer, he realized they would break through soon and those bats would cause havoc in the real world. That's why he sacrificed himself.

Can we take a second to recognize that Eddie's Metallica cover in the upside down, playing on a rooftop in basically hell with red lightning in the background in order to entice a horde of demonic bats, playing Master of Puppets of all things, to distract number one's puppets, was the dopest thing to ever happen in the history of time? Completely unnecessary for sure, he could have played it from inside the house and then dipped through the Narnia portal, but it was still so dope!

Jason's problem isn't that he thought Eddie killed Chrissy. His problem was scaring up a town's full of people to use in his attempt at being a vigilante and beating children to get what he wanted.

Jason was an antagonist but he wasn’t an evil person. He was a demonstration of how grief, fear and the absolute certainty in your own moral standpoint can allow evil to happen.

@@ecdagod3495 gotta disagree. Brenner exploited, manipulated and borderline tortured kids for years. Jason was a scared and angry kid who pretty understandably thought his girlfriend and friend had been murdered by dark magic.
He basically went Hitler and was hunting little kids.
HE LITERALLY WAS WILLING TO LISTEN THE *ONE* TIME THEY TRIED TO EXPLAIN THE TRUTH TO HIM.
Motherfuckers had no problem telling Eddie everything, but the guy that saw something supernatural happen and was STILL WILLING to try to fight to save his friends and family, knowing he’s going up against demons, nah man, lets not try to explain things to him and go show him the proof of the upside down. He wouldnt be helpful in using guns against Vecna or anything.
Stop cheering his death. If you heard the story from his perspective you’d think he was a hero.
Side note: Same thing for “Gaston” from Beauty and Beast.

I like how the show goes with a surprisingly realistic take on the “tap on the head” cliche, with Angela dying from a concussion after El hits her in the face with a roller skate, but then completely undermines it by showing Hopper being beaten repeatedly but surviving with his cognitive functions intact.
