    I think he is the right guy for the job! Reliable, reasonably cheap, will not cause trouble and will do the weightlifting during the first tough years of teething 😊

      He is so cheap in comparison to the rest of the grid. Took a huge pay cut to join Haas. Although I imagine Audi may be paying him more than he was getting there

    Honestly, I think at this point Carlos just needs to decide if he’s joining them or not but I feel like the Audi project is the only place that’s going to offer him a multi year high paying contract where he gets to be the number one driver because Nico is good and I think would be the perfect number two driver for Carlos. I think he would put on master defence to help Carlos. I think at this point we’re all just waiting to see where Carlos is going to go but knowing Nico is there I think him and Carlos would be a great team and really good for the Audi project to bring it along. I think it’s going to be competitive faster than people think, especially if it is the lineup of Carlos and Nico I think they could get development down and then with the driver lineup they could address any flaws as well as I don’t see that driver lined up being quiet when they noticed something wrong I could see it being a rush to get things fixed with those two

      My guess is that Carlos is waiting for Mercedes, who are themselves "waiting" for Verstappen. As soon as it's clear whether or not their attempts at winning him over were successful, a lot of other things will fall into place.

    • @NotApplicableF1
      @NotApplicableF1  Před měsícem +2

      I agree that he should make up his mind but unfortunately he is waiting on Mercedes and Red Bull first. I think he knows that the Audi deal is always there for him even if he decides to go elsewhere next year and only move there in 2026

    Audi is bringing so much excitement in advance on 2026 debut! I’m a huge Audi fan myself (driving the same Audi model for 15 year in two different countries 😂), I hope all this excitement brings us great moments in 2026 races. Also my opinion is that right now, Sainz is the best choice for Audi. 2 experienced drivers, Nico is resiliente and Sainz is very dedicated and has been around the brand for a while now. Wait and see.
    Great video by the way!👏👏

    I wonder if Carlos only objection is not wanting to waste a year technically downgrading hard from Ferrari to a customer team even temporarily, it would be really cool to see him go to Audi tho they may well just knock it out the park right out the gate and he’s set. If he goes to RB he’s the 2nd driver coz Max is better, if he gors to Merc he’s the 2nd driver because George is Toto’s boyfriend not that he’s better. Sainz is good enough to be a #1 driver for a top team and this could be that chance hope he takes it👌 I’ll follow him to Audi as well coz i’m not supporting Ferrari while Lewis is there fk that.

      @thesausage351 Před měsícem

      Agreed, signed him because he was German, cheap and available. It’s like admitting they’re expecting to run mid pack because otherwise they would look for a front runner, or a junior talent.

    • @saahil_xd
      @saahil_xd Před měsícem

      He'll only be there to help them on their way up, because it's very unlikely they're gonna be among the top teams in the 1st couple of seasons, so getting a high profile driver is nearly impossible at the moment, apart from sainz if he has no other better options. And getting a rookie in is very risky as well, because they need every bit of experience they can get from a driver, to develop the car.

    • @thesausage351
      @thesausage351 Před měsícem

      @@saahil_xd In a perfect world, Lewis would have gone to Audi. Obviously they don’t hold the same pedigree as Ferrari, but in terms of a high profile driver with a massive fan base and with something to prove, he would have been the way. Obviously Carlos is looking at Audi as a second or third option of Merc and RBR don’t eventuate, but if he waits too long and loses all 3 options he will be the next generation Danny Ric. I’d like to see him in RBR, if Max goes to Merc.

  • @penusliski
    @penusliski Před měsícem +1

    Hulk still doesn't have a single podium to his name only cause he's never had a podium worthy car.
    Obviously not a generational talent but reliable and consistent. Perfect man for a new team

    • @NotApplicableF1
      @NotApplicableF1  Před měsícem

      Very true, although he has had quite a few chances at podiums especially back at force India I seem to remember. But he will do exactly what Audi need him to do

    • @lewis8552
      @lewis8552 Před měsícem

      @@NotApplicableF1 he was a bit unlucky not to get a podium at FI. The luck never seemed to go his way. Like Spa 2016 it seemed like for once he got that luck at the race start but the red flag for Kmags crash then brought Hamilton back into the race and meant hulk finished p4 instead of the nailed on p3 it was looking like.
      Then you had races like Monaco 2016 where his strategy wasn't as blessed as his teammates. Or Brazil 2016 where he got a puncture under a safetycar which sent him to the back of the pack when he was p4 right behind Max and lapping quicker than his teammate who got the chance to fight for the podium later in that race.
