  • The Supreme Court has heard arguments about whether Donald Trump is immune from prosecution for actions he took while president.
The justices have been asked to consider whether any president should have full or partial immunity.
The outcome will determine, among other things, whether Trump should face trial on charges that he plotted to overturn his 2020 election defeat.
The Supreme Court justices are said to be divided as the case currently stands.
The former president is also currently on criminal trial in New York relating to hush money payments.

America sold out to the corporate state decades ago. And decades of political gridlock, and ineffectual liberal elite, and a growing corporate control of America’s laws and government has guarantee that a demagogue like Trump was inevitable.
As an American, it’s shocking to see that my fellow citizens are just completely oblivious to what is happening. America was always meant to fail because it was a nation built on genocide, protection of the rich, exploitation of the poor, and subjugation and pillaging of the land and the people.

you can go through history to see how ridiculous and unconstitutional this case is. In Mississippi v. Johnson,1 in 1867, the Court placed the President beyond the reach of judicial direction, either affirmative or restraining, in the exercise of his powers, whether constitutional or statutory, political or otherwise, save perhaps for what must be a small class of powers that are purely ministerial.2 An application for an injunction to forbid President Johnson to enforce the Reconstruction Acts, on the ground of their unconstitutionality, was answered by Attorney General Stanberg, who argued, inter alia, the absolute immunity of the President from judicial process.3 The Court refused to permit the filing, using language construable as meaning that the President was not reachable by judicial process but which more fully paraded the horrible consequences were the Court to act. First noting the limited meaning of the term “ministerial,” the Court observed that “[v]ery different is the duty of the President in the exercise of the power to see that the laws are faithfully executed, and among these laws the acts named in the bill. . . . The duty thus imposed on the President is in no just sense ministerial. It is purely executive and political.”

Just a note here. The trial is broadcast in America via the live feeds. It's not televised nor advertised, but you can listen to it in it's entirety. Cameras aren't allowed in any American court house, but the press does interview people coming and going. You can watch the former president make remarks outside the court room on either the Whitehouse official youtube, or one of the new outlets (for example, NBC). You can also listen to the entire 3 hour long hearing on those same channels.

But I find the people that are voting for Trump are not well-versed in American politics, nor are they well-versed in American history, they seem to suffer from a persecution complex and they also have a desire for vengeance. I would love to see how Trump is just such a victim of persecution but every time I ask a Trump supporter to prove that he’s innocent and I mean virtually every single time they give me the same mental gymnastics that you were demonstrating here. But the interesting thing is that you’re worth more to be pitied because you are basically a consequence of America’s failing education system, America’s failing economic system, America’s addiction to illusion, and America being a closed system that benefits the rich and exploits the poor.
Donald Trump isn’t being “persecuted” he’s being held to account for his incompetence, has disregard for the law, and also because the corporate state needs to keep up the pretense that Americans have freedom of choice. I would like to point out to that Donald Trump for all four years did the bidding of Wall Street. He did not support the very people that helped vote him in. Jobs were still lost, wages were still stagnated, poverty still increased and this was all before the pandemic blew the little carnival sideshow of his presidency to pieces.

Does Trump still have to be found guilty before there is immunity? Does he still have to go to court if he commits a crime?..He only has immunity if there is a crime and the only place they can rule if there was a crime is in court....If he's found not guilty then there is no need for immunity, there was no crime.....If he is found guilty that means there was a crime then he gets immunity....
Now what about the victims...If there is a crime that means there are victims...If the President is found guilty can he be sued?
Then there is the question of what happens when the President is part of a group committing a crime?...Does the entire group have immunity or just the President?
What if the President is part of a group but not the ring leader?.....What happens to the ring leader?..Is the ring leader protected by the President? ...Was Trump the ring leader on January 6 or was he part of a group?
