I found out for myself, and for anyone else that was also wondering. The light kit works, in ALL modes, including reverse lights in reverse, with my new Mamba X. Pretty awesome light kit!
I added this dragon light kit to my TRX. The one thing I missed in the video, is after hooking everything up, you have to use the selector to turn the lights on - and select the brightness. I could not figure out why the lights were not coming on. :) One other note is that you need to have the throttle set to 50% forward and 50% reverse. Otherwise, the 70/30 split option will have the reverse lights on when the truck is in neutral. The lights look great and put out a lot of light. A great addition.

The light bar I ordered last year did not come with the 3D printed bracket shown in this video. It did come with other brackets that do not fit. I don't want to punch holes in the body to mount it and the correct way is to use the roll cage to mount. I just don't understand why my light bar did not come with those brackets.

I want to cut the controller button cable, add connectors, and mount the button on the roof behind the light bar to make changing modes a lot easier. Do you see any problems with doing that and do you have any tips or suggestions in doing so?
Hi! I'm looking to purchase this kit from your website. One thing that's confusing me - does the controller differentiate between brake and reverse? I'm guessing not? If it doesn't, it won't affect my decision to buy the kit, only if I should purchase both red brake and white reverse running lights, as opposed to just brake lights. Thank you 👍
How does this work with the Castle creations cc bec 2.0? I see there are two unused plugs/ connectors on the Dragon Receiver harness. Castle says to disconnect the red wire off the speed control, so how does this affect the dragon unit? Any help wounld be great. The Castle bec is the waterproof unit and has two leads coming from it to go to the receiver , it's getting cramped in the receiver box already lol.
I think this is an awesome kit! But, does adding the lights + wiring not compromise the waterproof electrics? What I'm asking is can you still wade through bonnet/Hood deep water?
All servo connections should be as waterproof as all of the other servo connections inside the receiver housing. Regarding power there are two types of connection options, the balance port version which comes standard with the kit, or we also offer an inline "pass through" power tap which improves water resistance by connecting via JST connector. In either case, the water can penetrate the connector, and we do recommend protecting that connection as much as possible. We also recommend avoiding full submersion if possible, but the Dragon itself should not be damaged by it if you do.
I bought the DG1BR233039 for my Bronco. That install video led me to this video which is a variant with the light bar. It isn’t the same kit but I’d assume the programming would be the same as the light bar in this video is just an additional light. I’ve managed to get all the lights to work and figured out the long/short press config for the headlight brightness but my brake lights & reverse won’t work. I’ve tried reprogramming the DG1 on the 5th mode numerous times, unplugged the 2cell balance port and I’m split on the channel 2 throttle as instructed. It’s also setup the exact same way as this video shows in regards to the the led strands port locations. Any ideas, or maybe this one is defective?

It should work. On rare occasions we've seen weird interactions between different ESC/ vehicles But overall 99% of customer installations are issue free, both stock and custom builds.

My reverse light it not switching off fully? Any tips? I have tried to redo throttle calibration but no luck.

I did everything how you show up but now, the esc led is flashing green and the reverse light are turn on when the trx4 is neutral.

does it have a signal also, going to left or right?
This version does not, however, our other version (sku MTK-TD1) that uses the UF-7 Lighting Controller does have turn signals.
Is this light kit compatible with other ESCs, like the Mamba X?
I have the light kit dg-1 on my trx4... but i have juste the reverse light open on 3 mode.
And the running light dont work...

So it doesn’t do brake lights correct I see the running lights but no break before you went into reverse
Correct, this kit only does rear tail lights, and reverse. Our UF-7 kit for the TRX4 has both brake lights and reverse.

Yes it works with 2S and 3S batteries.
