In this clip, Mob James weighed in on Eric Holder being found guilty for murdering Nipsey Hussle. Mob James said he wasn’t surprised by the verdict due to Holder’s status as a known gang member. He said the only advice he has for Holder as he prepares for life in prison is to sharpen something for immediate protection because he’s going to need it.
I feel this 💯. I did years in federal & at the time my own brother in law was trying to put a hit on me in there. I was stabbed by guys I didn't know on 3 differnt occasions, jumped numerous times, I had to stab a few guys defending myself. Them 12 years were a nightmare everyday for me waking up & goin to sleep not knowing if ut was my last day & my family were ginna get that call to come get my body for a burial. I praise God I made it out alive. The mental stress that caused got me fucked up on drugs and alcohol when I came home. Diagnosed with anxiety disorder,depression & ptsd. Been clean since 2019. Been a long mf road.

Court appointed attorneys are private lawyers who are obligated by the Bar to represent clients. This pool of trial lawyers are there for people who may have a conflict of interest with the Public Defenders office. Overall, court appointed lawyers are far better than PD’s.

They blow smoke and talk about how great of a shot their client has and then when it comes down to it they take the first plea offered so they can get a new client. I'll never understand how you guys think all criminal defense attorneys are this superior lawyers and public defenders aren't good. In my experience it's the opposite. The public defenders litigate all the time. They know the judges and the DA. They know the system way better than a $500/hour average criminal defense lawyer who hasn't ever had a client plea not-guilty and the last time he argued in court it was in 2009.

Public defenders are better than most private criminal defense attorneys. Public defenders like to litigate and they know the system front and back. So many private lawyers blow smoke to their clients about their chances and then end up convincing them to take a plea because they don't feel like litigating and they get paid the same. Top tier criminal defense for famous people is different. But your average $500/hour private criminal defense attorney is usually not as good as the public defender who lives in court and argues every day.

Just like people, 80% are not that great and the top 20% are. Thing is most people don't want to pay for the top 20%. So they get the attorneys who talk you big and hype you up to sign the retainer agreement and then give you the hard reality that the public defender would give you instantly. Same outcome.

VLAD public defenders are “real lawyers.” In fact, some are among the best. Of course, folk often believe that if they receive a service for free, its defunct inferior. Not true. What is often true for pd’s is they rep some of the worst cases in terms of either no defense, no resources or both.
You gotta get ones that care about the case tho. And you don't know who gonna turn up from one day to the next, just reading off notes from the last pd.. Its sticky still
