Militant Christian Army Of Rome - Secrets Of Christianity 106 - The Roman Army's Secret Christians

  • Christianity is thought of as a religion of peace. But this episode reveals something different. The investigation begins with a mysterious symbol found engraved on an ancient skull. The film then discovers the same symbol on the walls of Roman army barracks and on pillars of underground churches. From Pompeii to the farthest reaches of the Empire, this episode reveals how Christianity secretly thrived within the very army that was supposed to suppress it.
    Secrets of Christianity brings the techniques of investigative journalism to history, with Simcha Jacobovici connecting the dots of many academic and scientific disciplines to present a new take on the past. The series uncovers alternate truths that have either eluded us, or been kept from us - until now.

    I was told about the SATOR square in 1973. The message is the central message of Christianity; work to reap what you sow - "do unto others what you would have done to you" or "love your neighbour as yourself".
    The Romans merged pagan traditions with Christianity but the big change was the merge Constantine created from Sun god worship.

    Try to remember the roman centurion who came to Jesus in cainan asking if Jesus can come with him and cure his son. But Jesus refuses and said that, go home, your son will live. And the roman general can't do anything but trust on Jesus words. So he thank Jesus for his words and go on his way home. When he arive on his household. The two fish symbol was used as Jesus WAS The Christ of Pisces. He was born in Pisces on the 15th March and at the beginning of the Age of Pisces (which we are now leaving behind for Aquarius). The FIRST Christian church ever built anywhere was constructed by Jesus around the age of fourteen on the slopes of 'Brown Willy' - the highest point on Bodmin Moor, England, not too far from the birth place of his grandmother Anna (Saint Anne of Cornwall). I have the transcript of a letter from Pilate to Tiberius in which he states "This man is more a friend to Rome than an enemy". And of course when Jesus was brought before Pilate he said several times "I find nothing wrong with this man". In 1958 when in a small chapel in London Jesus gave an updated extension to The Sermon on The Mount (which is not secret) He stated regarding The Sun "... It is The God of The Bible, It is the Brahma of the Hindu scripts, it is the nearest thing to God in your concept of manifestation." .

So..this message went transformed over the years until it was spread all over Europe and the message have been changed in the course of the time while time passes and now we have different but similar be livings like what Russians workshop and so on. @Artoo Deetoo well I'm Eastern Orthodox, and with all due respect, we consider that when Rome went into schism in 1054 she in effect became protestant. Most protestants, excepting such as 7th Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witness, celebrate Christmas on the Gregorian Dec 25th, proving they are stepchildren of Rome. The failure here is in understanding of why the date was selected. The Early Christians kept the Feast of Theophany (we still do) which is the baptism of Christ with His birth as a footnote. In the 4th century the Eastern Fathers selected Dec 25th on the Julian Calendar specifically because it was a couple of weeks before Theophany, AND was the birthday of the unconquered sun. They used the image of Christ as the Sun of Righteousness, which actually is commemorated in the Nativity hymnology.

    Another interesting search, interesting I looked up the word: Tenet and multiple dictionaries show the earliest use of the word in English is 1600, which is obviously wrong but the meaning seems to hold all the way back to these Sator squares. Tenet, a principle, belief, or doctrine generally held to be true Even to this day (tenet) holds form is maintained and for some reason the definition does not seemed to be linked to Latin or Christianity . Just another proof that a lot of the meanings that are all around us have become either twisted or lost. I wonder where Sador squares originated, if history has any clue, these squares were taken from something else. In the years 50-60 Sator squares must have seemed like magic, they make me think of computers. Thanks for the show I look forward to researchin this more. Funny I am just learning about "Secrets of Christianity." Great show and i had no idea the Simcha was in production still. Sure makes me happy to see him here :) Thank you

    Christians influenced the Roman empire more through bureaucrats than legionnaires. Christians learned to read and write in order to read Scriptures for themselves so as literate people they formed a disproportionate percentage of the Roman establishment. Around 250AC is when gentile Christians began to outnumber Jewish followers, and a lot of them entered Roman service, again, because they were a select few that could read and write and the Roman bureaucracy needed thousands of local clarks. Importing Latin speakers from Rome was useless even if they had the numbers. They needed Aramaic speakers.

    The satyr square I think could have been a word game. Even tho they say it's not. If you read the letters diagonally in any direction they make up palindromes. They can be read the same forward or backwards. So from the top right read diagonally down the the bottom left reads "srnrs" and the top left read down the to bottom right reads "rpnpr". You can do this in any diagonal direction. And then when read line by line you notice other patterns like top left down to bottom left reads the same and the very bottom line read backwards from bottom right to bottom left. I can read the word "opera" in 4 different places. It's almost like an early Sudoku game

      This is all lies and they know it. This supposed Christian word puzzle is a pagan magical spell for protection and healing. In the early days all religion was thought of as magic. Taught by magicians not priests and it blended all of what we call "religions" together. All anyone need do to prove it is read the PMG. In it a magician explains how to write it, how to use it, what gods it adjures, etc. These aren't Christian symbols. They are pagan magical symbols. It implores the 4 living creatures to grant health and protection. Hence why it's seen in Roman military barracks. If Christians were persecuted (which they weren't, we know this from Christian diaries of the day. Yes they kept diaries. and the Roman military was becoming Christian it wouldn't escape notice. Why? Because soldiers ranked up then just as they do today. Carving Christian symbols into stone wouldn't go unnoticed and all these academics know it. They count on people being wilfully ignorant.

    Looking at other discoveries too, I think the Evionites and the Essenes were the ones who were persecuted. The Pauline religion that was for gentiles was this one - sanctioned in secret agreement between Herod (whichever Herod of the time - remember folks, semitic vassals always take names of their fathers instead of earlier patriarchs or prophets!!) and Caesar. The essence of it (the Jesus religion as a member of Roman Pantheon with those flavors) still became something very monotheistic in time.

    @guntherrobbert4406 Před 3 lety

    Very interesting theory.
    There exists another one which might go well with it. I came across it while 40 years ago I was investigating on the hypothesis that christianity could be a kind of "medical" religion, which had healing or becoming whole again at the core of it's message. In roman times around the times of Christ the asclepic healing cult (amongst other greek ideas) spread widely within the Roman empire and apparently prepared ground for the spread of christian belief, as the areas where this cult had manifested itself functioned like crystallising points for christianity.
    (Unfortunatly when I decades later tried to find the sources for this observation in scientific literature I didn't succeed.)

    This is really close to what muslims say about Jesus peace be upon him. He was a prophet sent to the lost sheep of the children of Israel. Than his teachings got hijacked by pagans, they combined what he said with what they believed about mithra and created christianity. Jesus said that he came only to fulfill the laws of moses. Jesus also said that he was only sent to the children of Israel not the gentiles. Jesus was on the ground in prostration begging God not to allow for his crucifixion, and his supposed last words were my God my God why have thou forsaken me. That doesn't sound like someone willing to be the lamb, someone who wants to die for others sin. He was sent as a Jewish prophet.

    yes there was a Roman Centurian in the book of Mathew 8.5-15...When Jesus entered Capernaum. There a centurion, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant and he got healed.
