Amy Bread Fruit is a vegetable from the Carribean, you peel them and removed the cored, boil them with a little salt.. They are eaten with Cod fish sauteed with veggies.. Also can be fried like green Plantains.. Delicious.. Cactus leaves are eaten alot in mexico and other South American countries..

Yup, Aldi's is the store! I remember when Aldi's came to town and I did my regular shopping, I'd look at my cart and couldn't believe how inexpensive everything was. Even with inflation, the prices are still so reasonable. Great job, Amy!

The best price isn't necessarily the lowest. Quality food like fresh chicken breast, good quality ground beef, etc, has its own price points, and you can find sales but it's going to cost more as a baseline. Highly processed food like deli meat, hot dogs and processed chicken is full of preservatives, additives and chemicals - unhealthy as a diet mainstay.

We have always had the 2" faux wood blinds in our homes. We needed to replace our current home, so we just had the cellular shades installed. We went with the full blackout in a medium grey color. We LOVE them! Ours are all motorized, and my husband set them up on our Home Assistant so that they are on a schedule and open/close automatically every day on their own. They work super well at keeping the heat out of the house and truly blackout the room. Couldn't be happier.

Those plastic meat containers are great to keep diaper wipes in and keep in the car. Also I keep extra packets of Mayo, mustard, ketchup in from restaurants and keep them in the car plus some napkins, extra meds for the car. Or even little snacks in them. Kees them neat and tidy and easy to find when out and about or taking to the beach without having to take big bottles of that stuff. Also good to put serving size dog food or snacks in for traveling with animals.

Breadfruits are found mainly in the Caribbean. They have a unique taste and are a nutrient dense replacement for potatoes, rice or any other starchy side. We cream it like you do mashed potatoes or just boil with salt and have it with stew. You should try it one day when youre feeling adventurous 😂. It's good. So popular here in Barbados that it used to be given aways freely and is grown in almost every backyard. Now they're being sold around every corner. Peel the green skin off and cut out the "heart". Cook and enjoy.

The Girard's Chinese Chicken Salad dressing on the bottom shelf in the triangular glass bottles is really yummy. Their champagne italian style of salad dressing is also good for salads or as a marinade on swordfish, etc. The slightly hirer price is worth it until you figure out how to recreate their recipes.

Amy, what about making your own cauliflower pizzas with pizza sauce and veggies for your boys? Much cheaper and you could make 2 or 3 at a time.

I buy the flat bread at Aldi and make pizza. One is enough for the two of us with couple slices left.

Cactus is edible. The Spanish people eat it quite frequently. It's called Nopalitos, and kida tastes like green beans. At least it did to me.

The Vidalia onion and poppy seed dressing is delicious. Even if just on lettuce by itself. Reminds me of the Wos Wit dressing from back home in PA.
