But the governments and mindsets have since changed, and that doesn't happen anymore. Colonization was seen as the normal thing to do back then. Don't be presentist and use today's morals to criticize a past event and use that to say negative things about a current country.
And there's much more to it than randomly killing women and children. You're ignorant about history because you don't understand the concept of presentism and reducing your biases. For example, historians have to remove Korean and Japan and China bias when talking about the massacres that went on in that area of the world.

@@MarinaLopes95 Paris isnt France though. There is so much more to my country than Paris. No matter what you're looking for you can find it here. If you're into super big busy cities you can go there if you want the mountains we have that you want the beach we have that. If youre a war / history passionate we have some of the worst battlefields of both ww1 and ww2 and prehistorical cave painting. If you want volcanos we have that you want peace in a flat country side or lakes we have that. If youre into more Mediterranean culture you can head south if youre more into beer and germanic culture head east. You can find so many things here I think that is what makes our strength people need to get out of Paris to experience the true beauty of this country. The only thing we dont have is a desert. We have desserts to compensate though so much desserts

During 1940 france lost war with germany a lot of soldats dies and famille could'nt really "cry their death" because à part of france was occupated bu the germany and the other part was directing by petain (who pacted with hitler). During the occupation a lit of france jews and resistant died too. In 1944 the it's the end of war in france and so on 1945 à lot of french kill the personns who helped german, had relations with Them (love or economic relations) ect. And the personn who were in death camp came back. So it's at This moment they all cry for death peuple.

People are so quick to assume that the 80s look shows that France didn't follow the common 80s fashion of huge hair and bright colours, but you don't realize that this video shows just one selected look, not the most common one! 80s looks were similar in most developed countries because of globalization of fashion, and France was no exception. Of course in every country there were some who didn't follow the most popular fashion, just like now people have their own styles and do their makeup differently.

Yes and no. There was certainly a few bad looks in the 80s, but there were many timeless trends in France during that decade as well. That 80s particular look in the video reminded me of Marie Sophie Wilson for Peter Lindbergh. In the early 80s, many French women did the traditional french braid but they also side parted their hair and feathered it (google: "Béatrice Dalle 80s"). French women mostly kept their hair in a natural state for day wear in the 80s (also google: "Anne Parillaud 80s", "Carole Bouquet 80s" or "Sophie Marceau 80s"). Evening was certainly more polished, in a chignon or just well curled and styled (a perfect example I could think of was Fanny Ardant in the 80s). There was of course "status" hair; that's what it was called in the trade (Dynasty hair, brushed away from the face into a huge static like hair--very popular amongst socialites) . Nonetheless, many of the women I mentioned had timeless looks which still work today. Remember, a lot of the 80s was a reflection or tribute to the 30s, and 40s styles from hair, makeup, fashion, and even home decor.
(Sorry for telling you to google image things. It's 2018, and CZcams should allow their users to upload photos on the comment section already!)
