2020 Jeep wrangler Teraflex ball joint install. (Possible Death wobble / loose steering fix).

If you are running larger tires on a lifted Jeep with the stock ball joints and are experiencing loose steering or signs of death wobble, this repair could possibly be your magic cure.
The stock ball joints can’t handle the added stress of the larger tires and can prematurely fail.
The Teraflex kit PN# 3452010 is one of many great options. After the install and correcting my major grease fitting mistake, the steering is tighter and does not wonder and currently no signs of death wobble have returned.
Hope this video helps and please be careful on your installation tooling selection. Make sure the top of the ball joint has clearance inside the tool when pressing into place.

Apparently the stock joints can’t even tolerate the stress of stock tires. My 2021 Gladiator gets it at 65mph and the dealer will only replace the damper which is only a band-aid.

That’s no good at all. I’ve read the stock ball joints have a plastic bushing in side and that is not going to stand up to any type of stress at all. Are you thinking of upgrading yours?

@@SturkieHands Did it fix your wobble? I’m not happy with the way Jeep handles this issue. Any other company would fix it. So, yes if I decide to keep this truck I’ll probably upgrade the ball joints and the drag link, because I want a permanent fix.

Yes this was the fix. No more wobble wobble and the steering does not wonder like before, Much tighter. Hope you get your fixed soon, I know how scary and frustrating this issue is and can be.
