    Andy: I live in Arizona USA, and I just wanted to say that I think you and Jon both do an excellent job reviewing the various GPS products. Thank you for what you do!

    Great review. After all those unnecessarily detailed reviews, your review is succinct and very useful for a casual user - not an extreme athlete. Thanks

    Nice review. I like that you go through the different menus :)

    I guess the Epix is like the closest thing to a smartwatch with a nice amoled screen and almost 16 days of battery if the AOD is off. A durable Apple Watch. The Fenix is really a GPS watch with some smartwatch feature with insane battery life. Maybe the Epix is the smoothest transition when you were an Apple Watch or a Samsung watch owner in the past.

      You are spot on with your thoughts, the battery life is insane compared to a Apple watch and you get all the features on the EPIx (gen2) you will find on the Fenix. A great piece of kit.

      I ordered the fenix 7x sapphire solar but returned it due to the display,As I was transferring from Apple Watch 7 . So getting the epix 2 black titanium. I use reading glasses and was struggling to see the some fonts on the fenix but okay on the Apple Watch so the epix should be fine.

    I found this a very good and informative video…. All I need to do is wait the 5-8 weeks for the blinking watch to be delivered….😬

    Great video and good information but please lose the back ground music, I’d prefer to concentrate on what you’re saying than listen to the music.

      Mark, I will be honest I edited this video then slept on it, I came into work the following morning to remove the music from the video - I should have! Thanks for your feedback.

    Excellent review! On the Dual Grid, how do you change the second set of coordinates?

    • @ukgpstraining
      @ukgpstraining  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi thanks for your message, the main grid reference is changed in your System - Format settings, the second grid reference cannot be changed and will be shown as a standard long and lat as advised on this Garmin support document, we hope this helps - support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FpKUqh7txY80FDmEJLHkPA

    For competitive bodybuilding- which watch would of the two Epix and Venu 2 Plus would you recommend? I'm looking to track strength/lifting sessions as well as cardio. Cardio during prep is done indoors. Im an occasional outdoor person (mainly travel to locations eg mountain terrain). Most outdoor sessions are hike/ casual cycle- not competitive. Im worried the venu 2 plus wont track everything regarding recovery/ lifting that I would get with the epix. Or is the lifting data the exact same from the epix and venu 2 plus? What are your thoughts? Can I go wrong with epix or is it overkill?

      Ash, many thanks for your comment.
      Please accept my apologies, but I have no knowledge on which is best for competitive body building.
      Can anybody else help, has anybody got and experience with any of these watches whilst bodybuilding?

    Andy: when you go to the map starting around 5:30 in this vid, it shows a red triangle in the upper left corner of the map. I know that the blue triangle represents your current position, but what does the red triangle represent?

    • @pecanpie100
      @pecanpie100 Před 2 lety

      Update: I spoke with Garmin tech support. They said that the red triangle indicates which way is north. Awesome!

    • @ukgpstraining
      @ukgpstraining  Před 2 lety

      That's correct. On all the other pages the red arrow shows you which way to walk/ run if you are navigating a course, but on the map page the red arrow shows North.
      You may be interested that at 11.45 today (UK time) we are releasing the second 'walk and talk' video with the EPIX where we go for a walk with the watch and out it through it's paces, so you will see the navigational experience you get on this watch.

      Here are my thoughts on it, and I still stand by these after wearing an Epix for a few months - czcams.com/video/IsKRJcOox1Y/video.html

      The Fenix 7x is bigger and the battery life is insane :)
