Thor talking about sharks was not on my 2021 bingo card but I'm here for it.
The other sharks were laughing at this shark saying, "ha... I can't believe he fell for that one!"
I always wanted to make a shark defense sensor to help out surfers or people who go to the beach to stay safe. Glade to see someone is working on this.
Reminds me of those plug-in/wall ultrasonic pest repellents.
this was invented years ago, the problem is its maintenance and cost, most people wouldn't go for it therefore it was never funded.
Yeah I remember seeing this on Shark Week many years ago
Well, maybe with renewed interest, that might attract more investors, which could eventually turn into a more affordable product down the road.
I am not informed properly regarding this subject but I still can easily say that you are mistaken. A succesful shark repellent would never have a sales issue. Therefore, it wouldn't face with difficulties to attract people who would invest. So I can easily say that the problem was that they couldn't come out with a succesful product. It is same situation with dog repellents. The one I have is effective is around 70%
Nice idea and concept...
Great invention...
I like this wonderful documentary and nice research I like it and I love it tq for the interesting video.
A Phenomenal Video All The Best To The Team.
This has been out for yrs now, because there's so very few shark attacks nobody seems to want to actually make something (or pay for) based on this knowledge.
No one knows about it
Watching this after a bunch of shark attacks in summer 2024
I'm terrified of sharks and love them at the same time
Same. thalasso-philia-phobia??
If there are still sharks left when this device is ready...
I know they’re being hunted unnescerraliry and are going extinct.
thanks for the effort
Did science finally catch up to the Bat Shark Repellent?
Grew up skateboarding in FL with friends that tried to get me to go surfing with them but i never went because i was always afraid of what lurked below in that murky water....i went once with them and we got out there and i climbed off the board and went down a bit to try n touch the bottom with my feet but just kept sinking into a black abyss beneath me and i freaked out and got back on the board and slowly paddled back to shore quietly crying in fear so they wouldn't see or hear me haha and they're like "Yo where you goin bro??!" I am terrified of giant deep bodies of water....makes me feel completely vulnerable with no possible escape from threat.
National geo knew what they were doing using Chris 🤣
Exactly😳...I definitely was intuned😁😃
Looks promising. Hope it'll one day go mainstream and be of great use 👍
It already is. The "ocean guardian" company has one of these.
This video..is amazing
Keep it up
Awesome video , and Thor does know quite a lot about sharks eh?😊😁😁
Love sharks
Good catch!
This is amazing!!!!
2:40 someone built this on shark tank already, It was on the Australian one i think.
*Yay, more Hemsworth*
Take that rig to Florida. The sharks are smaller but they bite people a lot more there than anywhere else. Watch the Joog Squad recent video of surfing with sharks.
Full video please
Looks like shark is about to sneeze...
I have thought about this!
WoW Amazing thing
Well this is one very interesting video
So good
Nice video.
Up the voltage .
Wild.
It is important that we take care of the sharks. I see her as a very cute animal. All he wants is life. Without that impulse, no one would eat
What frequency is used on that board...?? Or electrical current amperage..?
they can just put the deterrent on a few of the seals go to deep waters and release them when the shark is near the boat and watch.
I'd love this even more if King Shark narrated it😂😂😂
Can they make the electrical signal stronger? Those sharks are still easily getting close enough to take someone’s leg off. 😖
Sharks don't normally go to eat humans, we don't taste that great to them ... generally sharks approach out of curiosity, making people panic, triggering their instincts, which then leads to an attack. Or they mistake us for sea lions, etc.
The buoy's "shock" is just enough so that it doesn't harm them (that is a key point of consideration in their design), but puts them off enough that the discomfort overrides their curiosity. It also provides confidence to the people swimming, meaning they're less likely to panic/splash frantically, meaning even less chance of attack. :)
Bright yellow stripes on a dark wetsuit will deter sharks.
how does this help while on a surfboard ?
@@kingsalami80 maybe bright yellow stripes on the surfboard too???
Chris ✊🏿
The Shark didn't attack because it was laughing at the Surfers rubbish Surfboard. Alternatively, it thought it was a bar of soap and didn't fancy having a wash that day.
When they do these tests they avoid accurate boards because they don’t want to train sharks to associate chum with surfers
Nice
He just hits them with a hammer 🔨
Chris 😁
Nice Talk
We want more flinching, so much that it actually feel fear. :)
Sharks are important...but Chris Hemsworth is more important
Nah!
Put it to use
Nice to see thor in sharks
So where can I buy it?
Chris Hemsworth 🤩💙🤗
Not bad, it looked like the shark felt the shock, I wonder how strong the electric field.
@John Wickstick I was thinking the same, but in the video they mention not harming the sharks as well. Need more information
@John Wickstick yep, not enough testing to know if it will kill them, have brain damage, or do anything bad. It was clearly distressed tho
Oooooo God, is this the guy from the movies.....?
Price would be the question
2:30:00 kid vs hong
3:34:00 kid vs phil wizard
feels like kid karam cut his third round short thinking he won it in the bag hmmm. I want to hear his thoughts
Lallantap
Just put some pictures of Jason Mamoa underneath your surf board and you'll be fine!
Sharks are amazing ☺️
The shark is an animal that has wonderful secrets, and with the National Geographic channel, you will learn about them👍👍👍🤩
Hi mate.
A device that did this was made back in the 1990's.
Shark pod
İnsan evladı adamlar. Helal size
💜♥️❤️
This is goldland in existed like 10 years ago. So the question is why people have not been able to use it.
It's flinching far too close to the bait. There should be a larger field somehow, with the swimmer in some kind of electricity repelling suit.
I don't care about harming a shark if it's him or me it's him just tell me what I need.
I thought what a great idea but if a shark is hungry enough it might forego it's senses and get a meal.
Yup
ចូលចិត្ត😘
All thor needs to do is to send electric signals to the shark with mjolnir
❤
👍
Hey it's Thor ⚒️
Also there is the issue where plants die and kill off the fish and sharks in return have less food or in desperate starvation
I know one thing and that is that that’s not a surfboard
Skip to 4:03 if you just want to see proof of concept.
👍👍👍👍👍
Enga thalaikku dhilla paathiya
👍🏻
I have seen the video about the shark net, this must be beetter idea
The bots have already invaded the comment section
Sharks: This is where we go to eat
Humans: Perfect place to make them want to avoid
The shark appears at 3:43
Chris Hemsworth=Thor
how about 100% ?
Just use Mjolnir to keep the sharks away.🤷♂️😳🤦♂️😬🦈
How?
@@thewaffle187 Uhhhhh you’d have to ask someone that can yield it, I believe he was hosting the show.🤷♂️👍🦈
@@davidcallan7844 no, but how? Its just a heavy lighting hammer mate
@@thewaffle187 I wouldn’t think sharks like lightning.🤷♂️😳🤔
Here in California (both North and South), people surf and swim with Great Whites every day and there are very very few attacks.
Even though there is a channel on CZcams dedicated to watching Great Whites in the water with surfers by Drone, I don't think these devices will ever be necessary here.
We have just as many Great Whites here in California... Are sharks just more aggressive in Australia?
Think it's like car accidents. Cars are everywhere and comparatively there arent many accidents, but wherever you can prevent an accident, you should.
Dont think they're anything to get worked up about just be smart and safe around them. One crazy hungry one is all it takes
Quite late, but the reason for fewer attacks in California versus NSW is the size of the sharks. Generally, in California sharks close to the shore are younger. Due to their size primary prey items are rays close to shore. This size shark is often seen interacting non aggressively with seals, dolphins, and surfers, because they’re too big to register as prey. In Australia, however, the sharks close to shore are not as regularly juveniles. These are larger sharks that are feeding on seals and other large vertebrates. To these adult sharks, we are well within their “I can definitely eat that if I wanted to” range. For nearly all sharks species it’s all a size game.
Some can be detured some can be agitated 9
Wow he’s so hot and Australian. And he’s so Australian. And he’s hot. Wow 🤩
Ive Heard T-Bone Steaks Was A Great Deterrent , Wonder If We Could Have Peloesi Test it Out ?

Small handheld boom stick with a .44 Magnum shell. One and done.
Or a 3” Breneke Black Magic 12 gauge slug.

Nice
I think Nat Geo fails to explain why shark attacks towards humans have increased. They did because sharks have less fish prey to eat, because guess what? Fishing in gigantic quantities. And what Nat Geo does about that? They get Gordon Ramsay to go and fish for eels or any other star to support their views.
You love marine life?
- Stop eating it.
And let's continue with the nice ideas like this one to avoid shark attacks towards humans without harming sharks.
YES! 👏
The waters are also less clear because of pollution etc - shark attacks increase in these conditions
Amogus
Chris Hemsworth has Most beautiful life in this planet
Whole heartedly thought I accidentally clicked on an Avengers video
Please save and love every animals, birds , trees , nature. They are much much beautiful than a 5 star hotel or any luxurious things , if you see them in a right way . It's shame for us to say that "this or that" species is endangered. Because we are the reason for it . When compared to nature , money is nothing. Once we lost our nature it's not easy to get it back . We are the only species who cut down trees , convert it to paper , and on the same paper we write save trees!?.
They don’t come near u if they smell dead shark
its nice to see cris hamesworth in net geo..to tell us.. that dont destroy and kill the all living things in this planet..there are all important in our eco system..so that the earth land and sea are in balance. If human being continue destroying the mother earh.there will be a consequence to their action..
