The 1 thing I hate is that it ends, the Story is so Good That Paramount and Michael Bay should be taking notes, this is the best Rewrite I've ever heard and cant wait until part 3 comes out!

The way it keeps coming back to Optimus kinda reminds me of what they did with Rocket in GOTG3. This is a good way to still keep him part of the story.

I really admire that not only did you rewrite transformers, you rewrote it in a way that actually utilizes good story elements and philosophies. Its easy to just rewrite a movie to serve your own fantasies and wants, but you wrote it so that each character was unique, and portrayed well, while also delivering a fun and fulfilling story.

Although I'm pretty sure it was done for budget reasons but I really like the idea that the autobots refused to share their advancements in weaponry. It makes sense that after seeing the war on Cybertron and the humans' tendency for war, they know what will happen

If you are going to rewrite tf3, i would recommend not killing megatron but optimus lets him leave earth. Megatron scans a human jet (the one from tf5) and begins his journey to cybertron where he will meet quitessa. And instead of gavaltron in tf4, ksi (or whoever builds the new robots) creates nemesis prime. (like in tf prime)

I agree that this series desperately needed more flashbacks to Cyberton. It world definitely improved investment in the modern day battles. Hopfully whatever the sequal to Raise of The Beasts will be will do that. That action seen in Bumblebee was a great example.
Wow, I couldn't have written this any better. Love the Autobot's you've chosen for this re-write and how your giving each of them (and the Decepticons) distinct personalitys. Cant wait to see what you do for the other movies (Especially The Last Knight seeing as I am currently working on my own re-write for that movie) Can't wait to hear the rest.

Personally I like how the autobots are being characterized, I had the same idea of making Sideswipe and Sunstreaker be competitive when it comes to killing decepticons and how they like to bicker at each other. As much as i dislike it i felt that it was necessary that Sunstreaker out of nowhere calls epps a "meat bag" considering he has an ego so i wouldn't be surprised he has that narcissism in his personality.
I also like that we get to explore the primes and go into more detail on prime and megatron's relationship more.
So much better than the actual revenge of the fallen film.

I like it when you take certain parts of the IDW Bayformers comics like DOTM Foundation, specifically that part where Megatron had been eavesdropping on the conversation between Optimus and Sentinel.
If those certain parts of the IDW Bayformers comics have been used in the original films, it would've given the Bayformers films more meaning and weight, and it would've made the films way better, or at least, a bit better.
im surprised they didn’t scan new alt modes, if this was the real movie hasbro would have used that opportunity to sell even more toys
I have to say, it's been a while since I've last seen TF2 and this honestly makes me long for the film to have actually been like this, as opposed to having a scene dedicated to Sam's mom tripping out on pot cookies. The whole thing seems well thought-out with cool new characters and interesting resemblence to, yet difference from the Bay movies.
About the only weird plot-related issue I have is Bumblebee bringing Spike along and then acting worried about the entire situation. I mean the idea that Bumblebee helped Spike join them because they're best friends is fine, but the idea that he wants to take his role as a leader super seriously conflicts with this for me a bit. Also the idea that Bumblebee volunteers to be team leader and then says soon after that it was a mistake to make him the leader seems a bit off for me as well.
Other than this however, the rewrite's been swell so far. I particularly like Blur, Mirage and RC, with the speedy celebrity, polite socialite and actually unique female autobots being character types that were never really explored or used in the movies. I mean Sideswipe was cocky in TF2, but this approach with Blur feels better.
If anything, there could be an interesting relationship between Mirage and RC, foreshadowed by the fact that they were training together and take similar roles as snipers. I mean not to turn this into a shipfest, but just like faith and beliefs, romantic interest was also something absent from the characterization of basically all the movies concerning the robotic characters. Even though they function much different from humans in terms of biology, they still have very similar personalities and while sexual attraction is likely indeed absent given their physiology, bonds that are deeper than comrades could be formed in certain cases. I kind of like the idea that it's not shown by anything clear, as in they don't kiss or share intense stares with each other due to them being largely different creatures from humans, but something would suggest that the bond of RC and Mirage is different from the rest of the team. They might address each other more personally than the others or something, not sure yet what the larger plot is going to be.
What I definitely hope won't happen is that one of these guys dies though. Or turns evil. I mean whatever happens, the Decepticons win, Earth is destroyed, everyone's dead and floating in space, please just don't kill those three. :D
In all seriousness though, I love this rewrite series so far and really hope RC, Blur and Mirage make it out okay in the end.
Good call on the relationship between Arcee and Mirage! The fact that you don't want Arcee, Blurr or Mirage to die is a compliment because that means I did my job as a writer at making these characters likable to my audience (or perhaps your affection for these characters stems from nostalgia and not my actual take on the characters). Either way, glad for the feedback.
I won't give any spoilers, but I will say that in war, there are casualties, and the ones who do get to go home, never come back the same...

Trust me, no nostalgia present. I never saw the original show, only after the fact a few snippets. Otherwise, my entire source of knowledge about the robots is that I saw the movies and that one Death Battle episode that had the original Starscream in it. So it's all you in making me want them to survive, well done my friend.
As for the final part of your comment, I have to quote Obi-Wan Kenobi when I say "I have a bad feeling about this." though I stil hope desperately that those three make it out. Or if not all three, then at least 'the lovers' as I'll refer to them from now on.
In closing, stellar work, please keep it up.
Love the soundtrack being used at about 3:50, 3:55! Really worked perfectly with your narration of the tragic news of Prime’s apparent death (obviously, it wasn’t very tragic to the Decepticons, but it was still a grave and startling announcement-at least initially).
And moving onward, I’m again very much enjoying how you’ve written this. Some key points:
1. Wheeljack’s advice to Bumblebee. I appreciate both that itself and the opportunity of having Bee explain what he’s actually thinking and why he’s resistant to the others’ suggestions. And besides making sense in a general, always relevant way-no one should want team casualties, right?-I think it’s extra applicable here because the last thing Bee would want would be for Optimus to return and find his team has taken a loss. I think Bumblebee would feel it a profound failure to be entrusted with temporary command of the team and then not return ALL of them to Optimus’ care safely. I think Bumblebee really considers that his big role here-not to replace Optimus but simply to keep everyone alive until Optimus can return!
2. The conflict both within the Autobots themselves and between them and the humans. One running theme I see in folks’ writing of the Autobots-and I think this is an accurate and necessary thing-is that with how long this war has been going on for them (although even “short” wars are horrific!), there’s inevitably this level of weariness and frustration that beset them, and it’s something that comes to a head periodically.
Additionally, there’s the dynamic between themselves and the humans. With all the positive stuff mentioned earlier about human-Autobot collaboration, I think it’s especially necessary to then show that it’s not 1,000% Shangri-La here. On the one hand, the ‘Bots definitely have a more extensive and personal history with the war and with each other individually. On the other, this may be their war, but it’s the humans’ planet. Really, there’s been an exchange here: The Autobots’ war is now the humans’ war as well, and the humans’ planet is now the Autobots’ home also (despite the downsides, I think the Autobots got the better deal, lol).
And I think there’s another element as well. To some extent it seems like the Autobots’ maturation rates do adjust or scale some to be proportional to their extensive lifespans. Like with Bumblebee and the Twins. They’re probably pretty old in human terms (don’t know if we’ve ever been given a good idea of this-that is, whether these 3 are roughly hundreds or thousands of years old) but still youngsters in Autobot terms.
Yet, even with this being so, there’s probably still an extent to which even the young Autobots count the oldest of humans to still be a toddler relative to themselves. And with that much more life experience-and with something as harsh and profound as warfare, no less, plus political elements-they probably find it at least intermittently annoying to be instructed and especially _lectured_ by “sparklings,” lmbo.
That reminds me of a fic I recently read. It was a redemption and rehabilitation story for Starscream (that’s now officially a favorite niche or micro-niche of mine, ha!), and during a scene where he was behaving in or considering his usual ways more, he made the observation that he’s been lying longer than human civilization itself even EXISTED. I think it came up while he was dealing with Silas, come to think of it! And while I can’t exactly root for the sentiment, ha, I REALLY loved what it did in terms of reminding us in such a vivid way of the difference in scale when it comes to Autobots and humans and just how ancient not just the culture or species but also the very INDIVIDUALS are. Plus it was nice to see that slime bag Silas getting put in his place. B-)

Oh, as a final note, I also appreciate how you’ve found a way of believably removing Optimus from the story without going so far as a fake death and resurrection thing. Plus the journey through his memories, accompanied by the Mortimus Prime, no less, is SUCH a neat opportunity and a great subplot to have going on as a alternate between the different story angles.
And it actually reminds me a bit of what John Truby said about subplots mirroring the primary plot. It’s happening in very different ways, but we are essentially seeing both Optimus and Bumblebee examining and having doubts about their own capabilities and performance thus far as leaders.

But the fact that you nailed all of the nuances that I was going for is even more fulfilling for me as a writer! I'm so glad that my subtlety wasn't completely lost on my audience and that there are some inquisitive individuals out there who can pick up on those little, meaningful details! Learned tonight from another video that because of a Writer Strike , T2 had no script . Just a outline.
That explain the lack of Character development.
Not just that. I can't remember if it was Alex Kurtzman or Roberto Orci (it was one of those two) came up with a draft for TF2 last minute, which basically took the whole production out of a bind. But, Bay made a bunch of last minute changes that were pretty severe and that's what the final result is.
awesome so far, heres hopeing that the joes get introduced in this series or at least a hinting.

🤷🏻♂️Probably be after my Star Wars Episode 1 rewrite. Which is the one I'm working on right now. I like to mix it up every now and then so I don't burn myself out by working on a series for too long. I find breaks to be very healthy.

@@thedarklord8388 A few people have been asking for the prequel rewrites and even though I plan on rewriting Episodes 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9, I felt the most inspired to start working on Episode 1. But don't worry, I just about have the notes on Episode 8 done and there will be complete scripts for it soon 👍
@@phoenixstudios9078 You do you, do what your passionate about. But if I could make a suggestion though. I know you want your rewrite to be original, but I would highly recommend you check out the Phantom Menace novelization written by Terry Brooks, at least for research purpsoes. Even though it's in book form, it fixes most of the issues with the film, especially the dialogue. As well as adding more scenes to develop characters in a satisfying way without feeling like filler. Specifically Anakin's character. Some scenes of the novel are even based on deleted scenes and ideas from older drafts of the film. And it's a great book in general.

Yup. The original film was 2 hr and 30 min. It just takes a long time to describe all of the scenes in detail.

Also I love the way you ramped the tension in the Autobot ranks in the wake of Bumbleebee becoming leader.
I actually haven't played any of the Bayformer games except for Dark of the Moon (Fall of Cybertron for life lol) so I've only ever heard Tony Todd in the role. He did a fantastic job for the few lines that he had.
@@phoenixstudios9078 Fall of Cybertron for life, if I could make a suggestion for the Autobots's characterization, knowing how part II goes. I like how wheeljack is giving Bumblebee advice on how to be a good leader. But I would like to learn more on why he places so much faith in Bumblebee leadership compared to the other autobots, who are more distrustful of him.
From a writing perspective, it looks like your rewrite is going to have the autobot team get divided in the wake of the Decepticon attack. It's your work, do what you want but I would like to see the Autobot ranks shrink signficantly, whether as a result of autobots being killed or leaving the group out of anger/despair. It would be a great way to ramp up the tension and force Bumblebee to step up to the plate even more than before.
BTW, are you not taking any feedback on how the Decepticons are being characterized?

This is soooo Awesome, but the only problem is that there are too many scenes, and there are wayyy too many things in it, if it can get a little simpler but also maintain its complexity and widening the scope of the material shown....ya know

idk how to feel qbout the autobots tearing apart imobilized protoforms in this version.
also, for the china scene, imo you should have alot of chinese worker still being in the mines (as it's more realistic to irl china and it's overall disregard towards safety) and working with the protoforms who are more desperate this time (hell maybe yave barricade there giving order and telling all other peotoforms to not hurt humans.
this would raise tensions between the human and autobots, as they realize that humans aren't a united species and that unlike cybertronians, they don't automate all their dirty jobs even when they know how dangerous those are.

No, Robert Foxworth will always be the best Ratchet in my opinion, same goes for Charlie Adler as Starscream.
What casting choices would you choose for sideswipe and sunstreaker?
Because they're twins, I'm on the fence on hiring one actor for both brothers or to cast each one separately. Because it would make sense for them to have the same voice if they have the same bodies and share half of the same Spark. But I think James Remar the original actor from Dark of the Moon could've worked for both Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.

@@garveyneal1672 I don't really have anyone in mind for those roles. They don't require specific skill sets so you could easily hire a number of actors for any one of those roles.

15. Say goodbye to micheal bay and hire someone who's best of directing motion capture movies
14. Do a hard reeboot
13. Set them in the 1980's
12. Embrace the classic character
11. Less focus on the human characters
10. Get off earth
9. Make Starscream a major player
8. Move away from disaster movie tropes
7. Tell stories that make basic narritive sense
6. Make the Autobots less sadistic
5. Move away from the toilet humor
4. Ditch the "no voice" grimmick for Bumblebee
3. Make Megatron a more nuanced character
2. Untangle the transformers history from human history
1. Make Optimus Prime a hero again

This would be GREAT in a live action series, but with the only downside that it will be heavyu on Investment
