I'm really liking what you're doing here, especially the humanizations of the Cybertronians and the worldbuilding. This rewrite actually makes the Transformers seem like characters and not giant piles of metal used only for fast, trippy action scenes.

@@phoenixstudios9078 I would like to see some dissension in the Autobots ranks, or at least show that some of the Autbots aren't abiding by Bumblebee's leadership. Considering he's a replacement for Optimus Prime, an autobot who is practically a Christ figure to them, who sets a nigh impossibly high standard for his successors. I know in your rewrite that all of the Autobots agree with Bee taking up the mantle of leadership, but that doesn't mean Bee's friendly personality and optimism will automatically translate to him being a good leader when the chips are down. Also factoring in the fact that the Autobots are now obligated to work with their human allies more than they feel comfortable with. And as far as the Autobots know, there's no guarantee that Optimus will recover. Whether or not you want to have the Autobots argue with each other, or even have some of them join the Decepticon ranks for their own survival is up to you. But I think it opens a lot of great character opportunities for all of the Autobots.

I definitely didn't expect Optimus nearly dying to be at the hands of the Constructicons. That does do a nice job selling them as a threat since they typically don't pose much danger unless they combine into Devastator. Nice job fleshing out the Primes who Optimus meets. Typically the 13 don't get a lot of characterization so it's cool to see them be more than just a group who have one personality between them.
I like the little subversion of Liege Maximo being the Fallen instead of Megatronus. Liege makes more sense since he's the Loki of the Primes, while Megatronus was more a misunderstood soul than truly malicious.

As someone who got into transformers with the films , then watched the shows like g1 and tf prime, these rewrites are so much better than what we got. I’ve also been trying to rewrite the first three films. The way how you described how the fallen turns bad is exactly what I would be done. I would probably not have that many robots, but overall this rewrite is amazing.
Man, this is _so_ darned good. And I’m thrilled this is gonna have so many parts to enjoy! I think another commenter summed it up really well by stating that you’ve made (returned, really!) the Cybertronians into actual characters rather than just piles of metal to use for fancy explosions. I already feel a lot of heart coming from this, and I quite like the idea of actually having one of the Autobots truly be the protagonist for one of the films. ^^
I love these rewrites, I love how you include great references to the greater Transformers lore. It shows that you too have a great love for the TF lore. Can't wait for your videos on rewriting Dark Of The Moon.
Something I would love to for Starscream and Jetfire is a genuine friendship, which I think would add some more depth to starscream. It would be fascinating to hear them talk about archeology or old expeditions, and Starscream, who constantly lies and manipulates other people, could evidently have a hard time doing it with Jetfire. (A part of me does think it would be interesting to even have them be conjux enduras/romantic partners in the past, which would add more tragedy to the inevitable fallout)

I finished seeing your rewrite, and while I really enjoyed it, especially the world building. I do find it kind of weird that your tackling the Optimus Prime dying concept this early in the series (even if it was in the original Revenge of the Fallen_, it sounds like a concept that would be used in the 3rd or 4th film. Maybe that's just me, but I really love your direction with these films so have full faith in your vision.
Don't worry, this is only Part 1. I think you'll like what I have in store in the upcoming videos. And remember, Optimus isn't dead yet. He's in a coma and he's close to death, but he hasn't crossed that final step yet. I'm personally not a fan of killing off characters and resurrecting them. I think that cheapens the emotional impact of the death and compromises the dramatic weight of the story since now audiences will never take a death seriously and therefore, they will never be scared for the character and they won't buy any of the high stakes that the characters find themselves in. Resurrecting dead characters is a method that I think should be used sparingly. Like 1% of the time. That's why I didn't kill off Megatron in the last rewrite.
@@phoenixstudios9078 Glad to hear, I am not a Transformers expert but I know that there have been some iterations of Optimus Prime that died and have been resurrected, even in G1 if I recall. But knowing that you kept Megatron alive instead of killing and reviving him, gives me faith that you'll do Optimus Prime's journey justice.

Optimus is one of those characters who when he dies it's hard to take seriously. I hope if you plan to kill him off for good in a later movie in your double trilogy, that you be sure to make it as permanent as possible.
@@thedarklord8388 Yeah I know in TFP he was on the brink of death and healed at the last second with the Forge of Solus Prime. Now I didn't watch RID, I only saw a handful of episodes, and from my understanding, Optimus pulled a Gandalf, where he died, went to heaven, and then came back to the mortal world to complete some unfinished business.

OMG Seeing Autobot City would have been awesome! I like how you use it as an opportunity to introduce the new Autobot arrivals unlike the orginal movie where they "are just here now" then proceed to just be mostly in the background.
I like it. I suggest having Arcee transform into an undercover police motorcycle, Mirage into a stealth jet and the wreckers into military vehicles, my suggestions being a tank, a helicopter and an amphibious vehicle.
Nice suggestions but since the TF 2 rewrite is already done, I already came up with alt modes for everyone. Arcee transformed into a pink motorcycle, Mirage into a white and blue Ferrari, and the Wreckers all kept their original race car alt modes from the Bay films.
@@phoenixstudios9078 fair enough. In Transformers 3 I suggest having the autobots taking a greater variety of vehicle modes as I figured while it makes sense for most of them to transform into cars to blend in having combat oriented vehicles as well as aircraft would come in handy.

It's a shame that the Transformers movies didnt leave anything behind in pop culture. They could have had the potential to rival the MCU. I guess that is their problem, that the movies were released before the Avengers movies

@@remuslazar2033 I feel like the original Optimus from G1 and even the one from Transformers Prime managed to do that. Pieces of that old Paragon personality would shine through in Bay's Optimus once in a while. But for the most part, I feel like Bay's Optimus was a very bloodthirsty version of the character who was suffering from severe PTSD.

The only thing I would have added was Hot Rod. I like the idea of Hot Rod and bumblebee being pals since they are both young bots who can make impulsive decisions. Or add Kup so Hot Rod can be a trainee to Kup. Also I would add Ultra Magnus and Springer to the wreckers team as basically anger management councilors.
I have to disagree with the female Cybertronian explaintion, can't female Cybertronians just naturally exist?! There is no need for a in universe reason ,but otherwise great video this should have been what we got 🎉
Technically but that’s not really how the transformers tends to explain them in G1 sure but that was after years of hasbro refusing the idea (for example ratchet was originally envisioned as female but was shut down) IDW did the forced transition thing and aligned has linked them to the original 13 primes there’s just an expectation of an explanation due to the franchises history
While only the first part and my stance could be made irrelevant or not work with the story but, personally I think that the identity of the 13th prime should be unknown since the Autobots are basically fighting for a God vs someone who rose through the ranks and earned the title of Prime. Optimus could be the 13th reincarnated but Optimus could deny it since he doesn’t like the idea of being an original Prime. But that’s just me.
I know that's the case for the Transformers Prime version of Optimus. And considering the amount of Transformers mythology I put into this rewrite, I figured it would be best to just keep it simple and leave Optimus as the original 13th Prime.
Also, female Cybertronians are attributed to Solus Prime, one of the thirteen Primes and forger of the legendary weapons and artifacts used by the Thirteen like the Star Saber sword used by Prima and the Relequium Blaster used by Megatronus Prime (the Fallen). Female Cybertronians are female due to the wiring in their brain modules, not by physical mutations. That is essentially a gender reassignment surgery like what Arcee went through in the previous ten years of Transformers comics.
You're going off the continuity from Transformers Prime, my dude. This rewrite is based on the Bayverse continuity so the lineup for the Wreckers and the biology of female Cybertronians is completely different. That being said, you're totally correct on your TFP lore. You got that stuff down 👍
Sentinel Prime is a pretender to the lineage of the Primes in both the Aligned Continuity and the Beyverse. Also, I think it is more respectful for female Cybertronians to naturally exist from the get go from Solus Prime instead of being a genetic evolution. The smaller frame explanation would fit better with the Maximals (I.E. Cheetor and Ratrap) to better blend in with the size of their alt modes. After all, Strongarm from R.I.D. 2015 is a female Cybertronian that transforms into a vehicle that is about the same size as Rachet’s.

Except I'm upset that the forest fight was completely redone... though I'm sure it would still be a cool fight, maybe it'd end up being as iconic, I also wish we had the original Devastator just upright and stuff, I really don't like the new look for Sideswipe at all, should've been the exact same except he's red, I love the addition of Blurr, a speedster Transformer would be incredibly cool, and in my mind he'd have the same electrical abilities and whips as Jolt, to go with his speed, and Sunstreaker could take from Dino from DOTM with his arm blades, I love how you humanized the transformers ans made them each unique characters, but damn for being Act 1 that is a LOT, this movie would be long as hell 😂
Because of this Video it actually inspired me to rewrite dotm, completely rewrite aoe, making it a two parter where the first half involves the djd and lockdown, while the next part involves Galvatron and Menasor. Also it inspired me to write my own script on what happened before Aoe

True. But he's just a background character for this rewrite so you could easily swap him out with a different Prime character from the multitude of Transformers continuities that exist. I just chose Quintus because he was one of the Primes that had an easy name to pronounce lol.

I've watched this rewrite series thus far and think it's pretty good. The one question I have is why the Fallen is Liege Maximo rather than being Megatronus?
With all of the lore and backstory I already included in this rewrite (there's a lot more of it that will be revealed in Parts 2, 3 and 4), I decided I would be overdoing it if I included why Megatron adopted his name from Megatronus Prime. I felt like such an explanation would convolute the story and drag down the flow so I opted to solve that option by compositing Megatronus and Liege Maximo into one character and just having Megatron be Megatron.

I meant like the trilogies where each movie is meant to stand on its own than tell one serialized story, think like the How to Train Your Dragon films of you know what I mean.
6:05 I thought the Fallen was Megatronus, Megatron's namesake, Liege Maximo just made Megatronus Kill Solus Prime in the Aligned Continuity, and Megatronus built the Star Harvesters
I like most of the ideas but I I disagree with the choice to put the finale of the first film on the fields Also optimus's origin shouldn't be a part of the original primes rather the transformers prime version works great where he was just a librarian until the matrix of leadership chose him

@@iusproductions9050 I get it. Sports existed. Not dancing or music. Even though we consider dancing a sport, it wasn't really a thing on Cybertron. The closest thing they had to dancing was transforming in itself, which they would also do while performing as athletes.

The reason that Allspark can't revive Optimus felt like should be more, i dont know im sorry, but it just felt like something missing. Don't get me wrong, i only think of this after the betterment you made to the story... So, what if, to be repaired by Allspark you need your spark and concious as your concious is what controlled the spark energy you receive/absorb, the Allspark does not have consciousness so it released the max energy it could everytime activated...in Optimus case, since he is in stasis, Allspark would bombarded his body more than it can contain, resulting in his death anyway

Maximo was true, pure evil, only siding with the other Primes to defeat Unicron and, as you stated, solve the energy crisis; while Megatronus, similar to the one who would eventually bare his name, was loyal to Cybertron through and through, and was willing to do ANYTHING for his planet...even things that we humans would call war crimes. That would prove to be his downfall, but let's make it clear: Megatronus may have been evil, but at least he wasn't Maximo. Update: JESUS CHRIST, THE HARVESTER'S IN MACHU PICCHU!? I was expecting Giza like the original, but you chose *Machu Picchu.* ...Respect.
I feel like some of the other Autobots should have arrived with the cavalry. Sure, the Decepticons have the thing, but what's stopping them from killing Optimus here?

I already feel a lot of heart coming from this, and I quite like the idea of actually having one of the Autobots truly be the protagonist for one of the films. ^^

Something I would love to for Starscream and Jetfire is a genuine friendship, which I think would add some more depth to starscream. It would be fascinating to hear them talk about archeology or old expeditions, and Starscream, who constantly lies and manipulates other people, could evidently have a hard time doing it with Jetfire.
(A part of me does think it would be interesting to even have them be conjux enduras/romantic partners in the past, which would add more tragedy to the inevitable fallout)

I finished seeing your rewrite, and while I really enjoyed it, especially the world building. I do find it kind of weird that your tackling the Optimus Prime dying concept this early in the series (even if it was in the original Revenge of the Fallen_, it sounds like a concept that would be used in the 3rd or 4th film. Maybe that's just me, but I really love your direction with these films so have full faith in your vision.
Don't worry, this is only Part 1. I think you'll like what I have in store in the upcoming videos. And remember, Optimus isn't dead yet. He's in a coma and he's close to death, but he hasn't crossed that final step yet.
I'm personally not a fan of killing off characters and resurrecting them. I think that cheapens the emotional impact of the death and compromises the dramatic weight of the story since now audiences will never take a death seriously and therefore, they will never be scared for the character and they won't buy any of the high stakes that the characters find themselves in. Resurrecting dead characters is a method that I think should be used sparingly. Like 1% of the time. That's why I didn't kill off Megatron in the last rewrite.
@@phoenixstudios9078 Glad to hear, I am not a Transformers expert but I know that there have been some iterations of Optimus Prime that died and have been resurrected, even in G1 if I recall. But knowing that you kept Megatron alive instead of killing and reviving him, gives me faith that you'll do Optimus Prime's journey justice.

Optimus is one of those characters who when he dies it's hard to take seriously. I hope if you plan to kill him off for good in a later movie in your double trilogy, that you be sure to make it as permanent as possible.
@@thedarklord8388 Yeah I know in TFP he was on the brink of death and healed at the last second with the Forge of Solus Prime. Now I didn't watch RID, I only saw a handful of episodes, and from my understanding, Optimus pulled a Gandalf, where he died, went to heaven, and then came back to the mortal world to complete some unfinished business.

I like it. I suggest having Arcee transform into an undercover police motorcycle, Mirage into a stealth jet and the wreckers into military vehicles, my suggestions being a tank, a helicopter and an amphibious vehicle.
Nice suggestions but since the TF 2 rewrite is already done, I already came up with alt modes for everyone. Arcee transformed into a pink motorcycle, Mirage into a white and blue Ferrari, and the Wreckers all kept their original race car alt modes from the Bay films.
@@phoenixstudios9078 fair enough. In Transformers 3 I suggest having the autobots taking a greater variety of vehicle modes as I figured while it makes sense for most of them to transform into cars to blend in having combat oriented vehicles as well as aircraft would come in handy.

Pieces of that old Paragon personality would shine through in Bay's Optimus once in a while. But for the most part, I feel like Bay's Optimus was a very bloodthirsty version of the character who was suffering from severe PTSD.

I find interesting you made the fallen liege Maximo instead of Megatronus prime it was a fresh take for me
The only thing I would have added was Hot Rod. I like the idea of Hot Rod and bumblebee being pals since they are both young bots who can make impulsive decisions. Or add Kup so Hot Rod can be a trainee to Kup. Also I would add Ultra Magnus and Springer to the wreckers team as basically anger management councilors.

Technically but that’s not really how the transformers tends to explain them in G1 sure but that was after years of hasbro refusing the idea (for example ratchet was originally envisioned as female but was shut down)
IDW did the forced transition thing and aligned has linked them to the original 13 primes there’s just an expectation of an explanation due to the franchises history

While only the first part and my stance could be made irrelevant or not work with the story but, personally I think that the identity of the 13th prime should be unknown since the Autobots are basically fighting for a God vs someone who rose through the ranks and earned the title of Prime. Optimus could be the 13th reincarnated but Optimus could deny it since he doesn’t like the idea of being an original Prime. But that’s just me.
I know that's the case for the Transformers Prime version of Optimus. And considering the amount of Transformers mythology I put into this rewrite, I figured it would be best to just keep it simple and leave Optimus as the original 13th Prime.

Also, female Cybertronians are attributed to Solus Prime, one of the thirteen Primes and forger of the legendary weapons and artifacts used by the Thirteen like the Star Saber sword used by Prima and the Relequium Blaster used by Megatronus Prime (the Fallen). Female Cybertronians are female due to the wiring in their brain modules, not by physical mutations. That is essentially a gender reassignment surgery like what Arcee went through in the previous ten years of Transformers comics.
You're going off the continuity from Transformers Prime, my dude. This rewrite is based on the Bayverse continuity so the lineup for the Wreckers and the biology of female Cybertronians is completely different. That being said, you're totally correct on your TFP lore. You got that stuff down 👍
Sentinel Prime is a pretender to the lineage of the Primes in both the Aligned Continuity and the Beyverse. Also, I think it is more respectful for female Cybertronians to naturally exist from the get go from Solus Prime instead of being a genetic evolution. The smaller frame explanation would fit better with the Maximals (I.E. Cheetor and Ratrap) to better blend in with the size of their alt modes. After all, Strongarm from R.I.D. 2015 is a female Cybertronian that transforms into a vehicle that is about the same size as Rachet’s.

Except I'm upset that the forest fight was completely redone... though I'm sure it would still be a cool fight, maybe it'd end up being as iconic, I also wish we had the original Devastator just upright and stuff, I really don't like the new look for Sideswipe at all, should've been the exact same except he's red, I love the addition of Blurr, a speedster Transformer would be incredibly cool, and in my mind he'd have the same electrical abilities and whips as Jolt, to go with his speed, and Sunstreaker could take from Dino from DOTM with his arm blades, I love how you humanized the transformers ans made them each unique characters, but damn for being Act 1 that is a LOT, this movie would be long as hell 😂

No, in these rewrites Optimus was born as the youngest Prime in the original 13 Primes. He's the baby of the bunch but he's always been a Prime.

I've watched this rewrite series thus far and think it's pretty good. The one question I have is why the Fallen is Liege Maximo rather than being Megatronus?
With all of the lore and backstory I already included in this rewrite (there's a lot more of it that will be revealed in Parts 2, 3 and 4), I decided I would be overdoing it if I included why Megatron adopted his name from Megatronus Prime. I felt like such an explanation would convolute the story and drag down the flow so I opted to solve that option by compositing Megatronus and Liege Maximo into one character and just having Megatron be Megatron.

The reason that Allspark can't revive Optimus felt like should be more, i dont know im sorry, but it just felt like something missing. Don't get me wrong, i only think of this after the betterment you made to the story... So, what if, to be repaired by Allspark you need your spark and concious as your concious is what controlled the spark energy you receive/absorb, the Allspark does not have consciousness so it released the max energy it could everytime activated...in Optimus case, since he is in stasis, Allspark would bombarded his body more than it can contain, resulting in his death anyway

Oh, so the Fallen is Liege Maximo instead of Megatronus in this rewrite? Honestly, that makes sense. Maximo was true, pure evil, only siding with the other Primes to defeat Unicron and, as you stated, solve the energy crisis; while Megatronus, similar to the one who would eventually bare his name, was loyal to Cybertron through and through, and was willing to do ANYTHING for his planet...even things that we humans would call war crimes. That would prove to be his downfall, but let's make it clear: Megatronus may have been evil, but at least he wasn't Maximo.
