CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Perseus (Sam Worthington) rises to the challenge when a fire-breathing Chimera attacks his village.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The epic battle between the Titans and the gods continues in this sequel set ten years after the events in Clash of the Titans, as Perseus (Sam Worthington) descends into the underworld on a mission to rescue Zeus from the clutches of Hades (Ralph Fiennes), Ares (Edgar Ramirez), and Kronos. In the wake of his decisive victory against the Kraken, Perseus has retreated to a remote fishing village to raise his young son, Helius. Meanwhile, humanity has lost faith in the gods. As a result, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon find their power beginning to slip, a development that could spell disaster for all of humankind should their imprisoned father, Kronos, manage to break free from his underworld prison in Tartarus. When Perseus learns that Zeus' son Ares has teamed with Hades and Kronos to capture Zeus, steal his power, and create hell on earth, the time comes to take action. Now, with Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and Hephaestus (Bill Nighy) by his side, brave Perseus will venture deep into the underworld on a mission to defeat the Titans, deliver Zeus from evil, and prevent the powers of darkness from consuming all of humanity.

This Chimera design is pretty great. The Chimera is supposed to have a lion head in front, a goat head in the middle, dragon wings, and a snake for a tail. This movie did a good job putting all of that together in a creepy way.
Eh, it's an 'okay' design, looks more like a gorilla's head and a rhino's head instead of a lion or goat. They at least got the serpent tail down, though it looks more like a xenomorph than a snake.
1:00 I don’t know what they are but those are neither the head of a goat or a lion.
@@Voltron881 they are like mixed together
he looks like Bebop and Rocksteady in one lmao
The best part about these clips is you don't actually have to watch the movie, but still see the awesome effects.
Well i don’t have a problem watching the Movie
This is what I call CGI mythology movie best ever made
Wrath/clash of the titans were the movies before new comic book movies got famous, this movie is an absolute epic movie with amazing cgi creatures, not to mention the greek gods titans and creatures on this movie are very amazing
I felt like the 2nd one could of done being a little more crazy
I love clash of titans, tho in wrath of titans the cgi is better, i didnt really like the script. So 10/10 for clash and 6/10 for wrath
Clash Of The Titans was better except for Medusa, that was probably the only weak cgi in that one.
tbh it was still better than the uma thurman medusa in percy jackson, at least, medusa was versatile , more aggresive , more warrior@@cory5510
For some reason the design of this thing has really stuck with me.
I’m really impressed with the look of it.

Probably the most realistic depiction of "fire breathing" in cinema.

MY GOD, this film is so underrated and so is the first film
It’s not, it could’ve been so much better
It’s interesting that the chimera from the 2000’d has better flamethrower special effects than most games and cinema today.
not 2000 , 2012 imo
Clash & Wrath are one of my favorite guilty pleasures because they have terrible writing but really awesome cgi monsters and entertaining action sequences so I can just turn my brain off and enjoy.
I really wanted a 3rd film of this
Plus they have Rosamund Pike.
I think there was supposed to be one but 2 didn't do all that great, I might be wrong though.

Terrible writing? What drugs u taking
@@alexschletzbaum1815 My bad, I meant bare bones writing
A fire breathing monster... this wooden door will save me!!!!
I'm glad I don't live in Greece.
Wood, when it's sanded, is actually really hard to burn. That's why thin little slivers of wood shavings or paper are needed to start a fire. The actual firewood catches quite late.
@@CountryMusicMann Yeah I wonder how he holded it though
Cernos he’s the son of zeus
@@gambigambigambi so you mean the wooden door is a demigod then
Yeah, audiences were rough on this one. But man, the director nails the action sequences.
The more I watch this and Clash, the more I realize that they're just like Gods of Egypt, except slightly more entertaining.
I miss this movie, i really love reading Greek mythology. Then this one came, i was like oh yes!
God of War >
it’s a terrible depiction of greek mythology, i hope you weren’t too hyped up
@@NeoAndersonChannel1 shut up kid
Hollywood needs to make more movies on ancient mythologies
A universe, as well planned as MCU but revolving around old gods of Egypt and Greece would be an easy cash grab for any studio
why Allah don't exist?
It could be quite cool, especially if done in a respectable fashion, more time to actually research and understand the religions these mythologies come from, and less shoehorning Christian or other Abrahamic themes and analogies in (unless the mythology being depicted is that of those religions.)

The chimera is one of my favorite creatures from the Titans franchise. Along with the Cyclops, Makhai, and of course, THE KRAKEN!!!
It's actually called the "Cetus", but everyone has been calling it the "Kraken" since the original Clash of the Titans popularized it.
@@iusproductions9050 Or as their name was pronounced in the original Greek, Ketos.
@@iusproductions9050thank u. The kraken is a Norse myth thought no one would mention this
This movie is a masterpiece
I know demigods are naturally very powerful but Sam Worthington took Perseus to a whole another level...
Demigods were never really that much more powerful in the mythology, they just had divine parentage on one side. Their depiction as superhuman has always been more of a Hollywood thing.

1:43 I was watching the movie in 3D at the movie theater and it popped out of the screen, literally. This moment pushed my head back into the chair
Ngl that last move was real slick
I don't know why some people think this movie sucks but for me it's awesome. I enjoyed the cgi and ares' hammer
One head spits fuel, the other creates sparks. Nice attention to detail
More like venom that catches fire
It follows the concept of HTTYD's Zipplebacks
@@celtic7029 so an aerosolized formula that creates a basis for a fire is somehow not fuel for said fire?
@@ErenYeager-zf3td it depends which one came out first. But it is a logical way for a two headed dragon to work so I wouldn't be surprised if the two were unrelated.
After years, the Chimera in this scene is still probably the greatest Chimera design of all time. One head spit the fuel and the other just light the spark and made fire. Some movie will defintely made chimera spit fire straight from a single head.
Ok, the serpent didn't even try to strike, it just opened it's mouth and held it like the token weak spot on a stunned boss in a video game
gasoline from the first head and fire from the second. interesting what kind of gas it was? euro 5?
Lol like a Hideous Zippleback "one head breathes gas, the other head lights it" xD
Piggy Oink Oink actually that was based off of Greek mythology
Flammable venom actually
I know this is weird but I felt bad for the Chimera like the one with the horn starts whining in pain and both of them are stuck being burned alive
Same here too
Nothing weird about it. Compassion is a good thing. Especially towards those who don’t deserve it.
“The gods care nothing for us”
You can say about this movie what you want, but they really nailed the CG and creativity - i still enjoy this a lot!
It's so weird for me that a creature can breath fire from the inside but from the outside it burns like any other creature.
I just think of it as like our stomachs acid doesn't eat threw our stomachs wall. Must have some type of lineing in it body
Or creatures with venom theres some nasty venom that burns holes in the skin
Is even weir that the chimera got a metal thing stuck in its head and dosen't die
It's not actually, one head is spewing flammable venom and the other head ignites it
@@LewisRJHope I was wondering what that liquid stuff was coming out of the other creatures mouth, thanks for explaining
CGI for the Chimera and Cronos was absolutely top quality. But the Minotaur and the Cyclops were unimpressive. Probably done by different teams.
cyclops was quiet great
Never seen this movie, but this was intense!
Makes me want to pick up and make a deck of the new Illusion archetype for yugioh and play Chimera.
chimera: breath fire
2 minutes later:
KILLED BY HIS OWN FIRE
Watching this scene makes me wanna take a bath. look at all those dust.😂
The white acid monster head is really cute I felt bad for it when it got a sword in its head and it was whining i felt bad for it
The action is great just how demi gods would fight
Aun espero un Furia de Titanes 3.
En Furia de Titanes 2 la batalla de Perseo y la quimera fue mi favorita.
"Dadd" i never knew they used modern short cut english,it should have been father so that it looked a bit older.
Fun fact : Perseus is actually invulnerable to fire and other elements
The movies of this series were wayyyy ahead of its time...watched all in cinemas
That chimera is basically Bebop and Rocksteady in one.
Looks like you need a Witcher.
I watched this movie on local television channel, this scene was cutted🥲
Notice how the monster only vocalizes when it’s onscreen. When it cuts away, it’s quiet.
I Love this series!! Haters will hate anything, and anyone that they can't live up to.... Textbook Jealousy..
Wow.....
Amazing.....
1:40 who also has a shin godzilla deja vû ?
Bruh the guy who killed Chimera was Beleraphone not Perseus
This is how I would depict the Chimaera
The body front legs and head of a lion the horns and hind legs of a goat and the tail and wings of a dragon
0:25 look where his finger are, they are on the side that is being burnt by the fire xD
He got finger insurance
Stupid.
To beat the chimera, you shouldn't go kill it without a plan. Anything has it's weakness, the thing can fly, a head can spit oil and another head can spit flame when the two heads work together they can shoot blaze for a much further distance. And a snake tail. Perseus was smart since he immobilized the head which spits oil in order the other head to burn itself. In my case, I would immobilize the entire chimera with nets or chains and try to throw a torch or something flammable inside the mouth which spits oil so it can't produce fuel for the other head.
I'll be honest...I know Grizzly bears that would've had more success laying those people to rest in this scene.
Goes by saying.." fight fire with fire"lol
Good !
God loves us, His miracles is real just trust Him and always pray❣
2:41 Chimera: I'm going to burn you to oblivio- OH CRAP OH CRAP!!
The head with a horn is a goat btw. And the other is lion
Some idiot cut this clip too short. The leap off the building at the very beginning is the end point of a damn good tracking shot. I advise you to find it elsewhere and check it out.
Who els felt really bad for the head with the horn.
ROOOOOAR chimera chaos
THE CHIMERA DOESN’T HAVE WINGS!!!
Technically some of them do and don't
@@genyatusamaki1219 Actually, The Chimera is a solo beast, having no others of the species. Fire Breathing Lion, Rabid Goat, and Poisonous Snake wrapped into one being
Chimera had wing
The problem I had with Perseus' portrayal was the lack of muscularity (Sam Worthington should have bulked up), and the lack of proper superhuman strength portrayal. You never once see him lift a heavy object and toss it, or deliver a punch that can knock off its feet an opponent, leap good height and distance. He is Zeus' spawn. He should posses at least a quarter of his physical stats. Hercules the Legendary Journeys did a better job at showing superstrength.
Well said
Well I heard in the Netflix show Blood of Zeus that technically not all demigods have divine strength and even though these are two totally different stories that might be the case for this movie
Bro the feat perseus shows here are literally superhuman by nature. Theres no way your average human are tanking fire, getting tossed around and breaking stone walls. He also literally dragged the chimera using chains whose destroying walls here and there. Not every portrayal of strength has to have the monsters flying at slight touches. Also perseus werent depicted as a hulking creature like hercules is. Fit but not a hulk
Demigods weren't superhuman in the myths (many demigods were killed in the Trojan War, for example,) so this isn't all that inaccurate (even if Sam Worthington is taking more punishment here than most normal people could.)
It's also worth pointing out Harry Hamlin, who played Perseus in the original Clash of the Titans, wasn't the most muscular guy either, but he fit the part perfectly because Perseus was never a hero known for his strength (that was more Herakles' territory and he was a unique case in that he ascended to full godhood after his death) but rather for his wits, similar to Odysseus.
tbh i agree , but let's be honnest , a hollywood blockbuster need more fantastic, just look how the last duel flopped , or even house of gucci , the only exception is gladiator, which i loved and troy, i think because technology allowed it , why not go full and that's the thing , i don't understand ,recently there was an adaptation , on one of chapter of bram stocker , dracula , why not doing the same tthing with mythological movies , especially the hercules one @@ReluctantWarrior
I just noticed after so many year, one head spit gasoline and other head spit sparks and they combined it together for a flamethrower. @ 1:01
Davy Jones, Lord Voldemort, Qui Gon Jin, Jake Sully, William Stryker and Cinderella are all in this movie.
It's like from hell yeah chimera is very aggressive and strong

يريد هذ الفلام جزء الثاني
It's Bael son of Bard!!
I hate it when the protagonist wins by luck and bullshit and everyone acts like they're this great hero
To be fair, the best heroes don't start out wanting to be heroes. Here, Perseus wanted to be a fisherman. And what makes a hero isn't always skill; in almost every case, it's bravery and the will to do what's right.
"Luck" in those days showed that the gods knew you and favored you. Basically this showed that he was "the chosen one."
Literally the whole point of these movies were defining the fact he doesn't want to be the hero.
+Roronoa Zoro: that's the whole point of this thing. These are based off of stories, myths and legends passed down with are already exaggerated.
Roronoa Zoro Well i know a certain swordman from One Piece who wins by luck and bullshit and everyone's acting like he is a great hero. Oooh wait, ha!
Framestore did the CGI in both Clash and Wrath of the Titans
Ridiculous amounts of luck.
