@@jodysmith8048 I did think about doing Thomas as an Ideas submission quite a number of years ago but it was knocked back for the wheels (it uses a 3rd party medium sized wheel) and I realised that even if I got the 10,000 votes, it was never going to pass review... So I just started making them for people. No need to wait for Lego to only produce a handful and then delete the line 2 years later (even the Duplo range is abysmal) - just contact us! :)

@@legoroan9866 No. As I mentioned above, it was refused due to the custom wheels. The other thing is, the effort it takes to get your Ideas submission over the 10k line is unbelievable, and if they decide NOT to do it, I can't sell them or instructions for three years.
Much better off bypassing the middle man!
These models are awesome! I really think they should be official LEGO products!
I saw these a few months ago on that video as well, I emailed him and I got the prices. I then realized I was 13 years old and had no money. But they’re gorgeous models. Great video!

Diesel 10 doesn't need couplers. In the cartoon a piece of chain over the hook works.
In Lego, it does. I make him with just hooks, but if you want him to pull wagons, etc, a few changes are necessary.
Hey I live in Melbourne I've seen these models running on the MLTC layout at brickvention
Those LEGO TTTE models are totally amazing. I would never thought to have used dark tan for diesel 10’s military olive green livery. The ourne in Melbourne is pronounced like un but in the dialect of a New Zealand accent pronunciation of in. The same can be said for Brisbane
To me, Diesel 10 is closer to dark tan than Lego's olive green. Plus, the parts selection is far better in dark tan than olive green.
And even people in Melbourne pronounce it 5 different ways, being a multi-cultural city.

I made a Lego Percy, but I made it 8 studs wide due to not having better pieces for the saddle tank. I also had to use wagon wheels and cover them up with bricks. I had to use posca paint markers to get the colour and masking tape to secure the funnel and make a clean surface to draw the face

He had pretty nice models, not to too complex or too simple, but he should have filled percy's chassis to a block shape. Also, if you're thinking of making lego models, I recommend 7 stud-wide as eight is a tad bit larger than I would think they should be
The chassis decision is a smooth running one. Technic bricks tend to create friction and can cause the pistons to bind.
I have scaled Thomas and Percy as 6 wide, as Gordon and Henry (amongst others) are 7 wide. It's all about the proportional relationship between the trains.

I noticed a small mistake on the Lego Percy Model. The back of his coal bunker should be black, not green.
Other then that it’s nearly perfect!!
Depends which version of Percy you're looking at. Also, it was a matter of consistency with Thomas who I had built previously. There's always little design compromises you need to make when working in such a blocky medium.
You should make a Lego whiff, no body has done it yet

Sorry Tyler, but these cost quite a bit in parts, quite a bit in time to build and quite a lot of time to sticker up too. If I worked out what I actually made per hour making these trains, I think I would be very sad, so I haven't done that! Fair to say that many a night is spent weeding stickers and applying them to boilers and whatnot. Keep saving if you really want one! :)

Noooo if u make a Percy don’t make it 8 wide because British locomotives are smaller than American locomotives so the scaling will look weird

I am very pleased with these builds. I am going to try to make my own Thomas. The build for Percy seemed simple enough. I don't know why I can't make stuff. Creative block

@@TrainTsarFun Thomas is even simpler than Percy. There's some clever stuff inside Percy to reverse the studs. And to be honest it's the stickers and printing that really do make the models. This batch of trains was a big batch, and my models were sitting next to new builds for some time and sticker day was amazing. They just sprang to life!

@@legoroan9866 I think Train Tsar was commenting on how quickly I could build one for him. We build them in what little free time we have around our day jobs and family commitments. A 2-3 month wait time isn't unlikely at the moment due to orders already in the system.

I paid the designer of it to build this for me. He lives in Australia and it was expensive and took a few months. One of the best LEGO Mocs of Thomas & Friends stuff with custom stickers that they make. I would be happy if they sold the instructions and stickers but they don’t want to do that

@@TrainTsarFun Just a quick one - do you mind not saying it was expensive please? We have many customers that are perfectly happy with the product/price ratio and compared to other custom built/commissioned Lego builds, our prices are quite cheap. Expensive is all about perspective. Cheers :)

It is very limited.
I make a huge selection of them with a team of friends. Check out legothomas.weebly.com and also the video Beyond the Brick did on our layout earlier this year. I think there's about 30 or so engines in the fleet now and countless rolling stock. Whilst most people order the most popular models (Thomas, Percy, Gordon, Annie and Clarabel etc), we're happy to reproduce any of them and even tackle one we haven't built yet.
