A quick video to demonstrate asian style mountains up in the clouds and in the mist. It is not a finished painting but can give you the idea of how to paint in this way if you are interested in the Chinese style of painting mountains up in the mist.
I use cobalt blue, a mix of cobalt blue and light red and a mix of winsor blue (red shade) and light red.
I used a hake brush, round sable and old fan brush. I used the round sable with the bristles splayed to produce the brush mark of the trees. You can see when you paint wet in wet you get soft edges and when dry hard edges.
If you have any questions let me know.

Hi Kris! Thank you! I really do appreciate it! It is still a bit intimidating to put yourself out there and record your process and your end results and share them with everyone especially when some of the results are not to the level you would like! Happy painting Kris. Thanks for the encouragement it really does mean a lot. Cheers Scott

I had a feeling, when I saw that you are left-hand-dominant, that this would be one of those videos that are magical to watch. Captivating.
    I wasn’t disappointed.

Hi, Scott. I know that this video is from 3 years ago but I noticed that you were using a reference photo on your phone while you were painting this. Can you please share the link? Often it helps me to see what you choose to include in your painting & what you leave out. Then I can take what I learn and create an original piece of my own, versus just continuing to copy what is presented in a lesson. (IMHO, This would be the next logical next-step in an artist's maturation & development process.). Thanks so much for all the education & inspiration you've brought me over the past three plus years.
