  • @PWRFLROE

    You know the way you spoke of people with barrels of the steel 43’s, and some people are even selling rolls at just above a giveaway price tag, I too went by the three in a row in the older collectors books without any thought to errors and also loved the distinction that you brought up discerning the mintage numbers which were or still are high, but the coin population which changes the entire scope of my little thoughts on numismatics in areas I have never considered or checked! The three coins that are of the highest grade never being brought to market and how confident, incredibly flush or truly love coin collecting including the bragging rights! But when I heard you speak of this Green CAC sticker before you began to provide its meaning and great history, I only heard the green thing and since I never heard of it or saw it before I can’t tell you how much I’ve been laughing over that as I thought it was something like the paper clip in the printing of the note but more so the candy wrapper being part of the final minting process I saw in your video. Finally regarding your question, first I’ll give you a laugh, I hid the books the other day and I cannot find them to inspect or even remember a tiny clue as to where I put them at all! As the sweat poured into my eyes, I Had to give up for now! I would really review a thorough viewing of these coins, the ones that were sold as well as coveted as they were not really low numbers and consider if I had a decent grade with the errors you pointed out for each of the mints and noted errors and if I met the standard I would send it in for grading, if I hadn’t met the standard or surpassed it I’d just hold onto it or try selling it without grading and those fees kicking very high into my description and photos looking for a collector who wanted my Great ungraded coin. Ugh, this is going to drive me crazy, What did I do? Sorry for such a long answer, I loved the video and also I have a new green website to look at, LOL!

    I found a 43 steel cent in a coin star reject tray a couple of months ago... I was inordinately excited over finding a penny. =)
    In regards to their value, I guess I never really thought about them much. It is surprising that you can get them 10 for a buck - I've never seen that! (Then again, the coin stores around me are not interested unless you're dropping several thousand dollars.)

    JB - I think you should verify CAC, then BRSH can verify you, then CHY can verify BRSH. I stop at Gold Shield. I don't always agree about 10 percent of the time with PCGS, but I do trust them. I did think they would be worth more. I haven't given it much thought until this video. Thanks.

    I've only been collecting for 3 weeks, so to say I'm a novice is way to much! I have been interested in coins my whole life, never spending any in my adult life and I have always checked for wheats and silver coins! I've only seen one steel cent my whole life, that was when I was 6 years old, more than 40 years ago! It was when I was going through my Mom's change looking for wheats and silver coins! It's possible that I've looked though a half million coins maybe more in the 40 years. And haven't seen a second one! To find one would be better to me than 40 silver coins!
    Have a GREAT Day!!!!

    I was suprised on the amount of money that you can make on a steel penny. I have over 2 dozen of them in my safe. Maybe I should have them looked at. I might surprise myself. 7 of the coins that I have are from the San Fransisco mint. My Grandmother knew that I am collecting coins, so before she went into the nursing home, she went to her safe and pulled out the steel pennies that she had since the war. Some of them are a bit dirty looking, but I am thinking of getting them graded. Will let you know in the future of the value

    Looking at a 1943 bronze penny I think that you got doubling on front and back and doesn’t not have a clear mint mark using your microscope, looking closer you see all sorts of different coins that has been printed on both sides very hard to distinguish. I’m new at this but my whole time I haven’t seen nothing like this. Wondering if you knew anything ab seen anything like this I can see part of the another coin stamped into it. Very hard to make out with a naked eye, but everything else looks good

    Expected these steel pennies especially in B.U. Condition (high grade) to be much higher. There is a ton of re-proccessed steelies out there. And tones of very corroded steel pennies out there !! So the Elite should be in the hundreds of thousands for the best !! Been collecting for 35 years now. And feel because of my facts. Theird level & popularity should propel them to much higher prices. For as special as they are. (Higher Grades) They should command a much higher. Respectful pricing tiers. Also due to so little them being minted. Spread over the globe. They are nothing when it comes to that aspect. And war efffort. Thank you for clarifying these important facts regarding grading & CAC stickers. All my coins are in B U. Condition MS. Old timer taught me what to do besides cherry picking. Look forward to utilizing the CAC sticker soon. With NGC. Thank You !!🌠☄🎆✨🔥🔥🔥🔥🌝🌞🌛

    • @PWRFLROE
      @PWRFLROE Před 5 lety

      Devin Underwood Jevon that sounds really cool! And it brings to mind that if it is actually holding a coin to a high standard verified restrict quality of its grade how did you get that without a grade 1st? I know very little about the green CAC things, and it does sound like a truly wonderful COIN to own, But what if they gave you a number that is not what you would really like it to be, you know, A bad week or a fight with their partner, Bad allergies or a bellyache by the rater (Is that a word?) Do you feel extremely confident in your coin being awesome and given a high rating or a questionable need to spoil a rating that is already Green stickered, and endorsed by the ENTIRE numismatic community? J, you didn’t go near that at all, does it need to have that monetary number as well, or is the green sticker the bomb by itself? How could they verify and hold to a higher standard in terms of the strict quality of a grade when it doesn’t have a grade?
      Devin I am truly a novice with a real need to learn and I’m not trying to dissuade you, I just saw that it didn’t say CAC, but just CC and I don’t even know what that means and I certainly wish you luck and I hope you share it with us I’d love to know everything, You really filled me with a big smile and what a wonderful coin! It Really Makes me happy to hear about something like this, Even though I screwed up thing up that’s a really good question, is that possible?

    I found 45 of those 1943 pennies. 1 has the D on it. How can I figure out how much they are worth?

    I have a 43 S but it is not in very good condition. I would love to find one of the D over D pennies.

    Do you get them graded first and then go to cac or vice versa?

    I've got maybe 20 or so steelys, but none of them are worth grading. Maybe if the values go I could go looking for more.

    I just found a looks to me maybe a ms 67 + Philadelphia Double die and she is very pretty, almost as if it's teetering on the edge of being proof truly. I found it about a month ago in a roll of pennies I purchased at my bank.. I was shocked to find it especially in such nice condition and after I watched your video I weighed it and it weighs exactly 2.7 and The double die is so heavy you can see it on the One Cent on the reverse of the coin and by listening to your video I placed it on the scale and Wah! Lah! There it is....2.7. I believe I am going to take the chance and pay whatever it cost to have it graded along with another very pretty 1992 Close Am Lincoln cent. But, I am wondering if you could tell me this, since I am only a silver member I was just told that I do not get any submission forms flips ect. So, I was wondering if I have the cardboard mylar flips may I place my coins in one of those to be shipped to the "PCGS" ?? And, it be accepted. Thanks! in advance if you happen to see my pending question? before I take my chances and send them in the mylar flips.... Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us here on this You tube App. It's very helpful, and appreciated. Thanks ! Mary is my name . Later Gator!
