- Jeremy Corbyn has refused to apologise to the Jewish community after the Chief Rabbi warned his failure to tackle the issue made him unfit to be prime minister.
The Labour leader said he does not tolerate anti-Semitism "in any form whatsoever" and called it "vile and wrong" - but he declined four times to apologise to the Jewish community in a BBC interview with veteran journalist Andrew Neil.
Julia spoke to Labour stalwart Ronnie Campbell about the party's antisemitism crisis.

To denounce any tolerance of discrimination showed both inclusion, and a projection of sincerity. To be goaded into an apology would be a personal admission of wrong doing directly against the Jewish population. It is only my opinion, but I feel that IF Mr Corbyn had made an apology, it could have been followed up by Andrew Neil saying, "...so you admit...". This is how everyone in the apparent 'neutral' media has treated Mr Corbyn. It is nothing short of appalling. The public have every right to say what they want, but this is - in my opinion - is angling and goading to elicit a specific response, in public, by an employee of the BBC. They historically don't have a great employee record.

He asked questions to which he was only prepared to hear one answer with anything else to the contrary being unacceptable. An awful interview which definitely put Corbyn in a good light to the majority of the public!

There is nothing wrong with criticising Israel but if your choice is only to criticise Israel and never criticise anybody else for their transgressions, that's when your intentions are questionably anti-semitic.
By expressing anti-semitism they appeal to a very big & reliable block of voters...muslims. Fact

Reality check ...the Muslim religion has 47 countries worldwide, Israel 1 .. which happens to be the only democratic country in the mid-east ( Arabs came third in the election) Land owned by the Jews has been won in battles and wars ( not unheard of). Isreal has historically more claims to the land than the Palistines (who are made up of many nations and were nomads) The wailing wall, for instance, was Kind Solomons temple, Excavations are currently underway on the city of David.
