Steve looking good , congrats on the weight loss . So happy for you !!! I moved down here on Table Rock Lake in 2016 and miss that river catfishing . From the St. Louis area fished the Mighty Mississippi River and the Missouri River. I may try that type of fishing down here on Table Rock Lake . I really miss that type of fishing.

Crazy biting through 50lb mono that makes my teeth hurt watching you do it. That Santee cooper rig is what ive been catching flatheads from the bank with got 2 last night using bullheads. They are only hitting in western pa 830-1030pm been slow here get 1 or 2 hits a night but good hits and hook up

Mr Steve, where do you get those floats at? I usually use 2-3” floats but havent seen any like yours. It looks like it has a plastic insert.
Watching you just bite through that 50 lb mono leader line made me think. You should come out with a Steve Douglas monster line cutter. They could be in the form of some dentures. 😜👍😁😁😁

Been using those floats for a year now and I believe the shape of the float really helps the hook from being snagged so much while dragging. The diameter of the float is bigger than the hook.

Man Steve you need to get you a set of Boomerang Tool Company SNIP Fishing Line Cutters with Retractable Tether. I got mine and have never looked back. It cuts everything. Good video I'm a fan of simple fishing as well. I call it keep it stupid simple. 👍

As always Steve another great video. I just started using that rig while I'm bank fishin and it works great for me I've been fishin in a shallow river here in Nebraska. But where can a guy get the bigger beads the ones I'm using are the tiny ones for a slide float?

I’m disabled as but I would truly would like to fish with you before I leave this world.I just can’t walk real well. Had a liver transplant and 2 years latter I broke my neck.but I still fish when I get the chance. PB catfish was 58 pounds.

He cut the tail off that skip jack and I was waiting for him to cut the rest of it up in about 3 pieces, and then he just hooks the rest of the whole dang thing on and casts it out 😄dang thats a big piece of bait lol.

Great video, great channel. Learning so much! I noticed the pile of tails on the cutting board. Do you not use them? I have a hard time finding bait bit can get 4-5 in bluegill. How would they be if i put them on ice and froze for later use? Ive only seen people use live bluegill.

I use braided line and every time i get hung if i try to pull with the rod it messes the line up on the spool. Does that happen to anyone else or am i doing something wrong lol?
Wrap the line around something first to take the pressure off the reel
