    Dang, Corsair must be getting pricing advise from the GPU market 😂 I also get the eco side of things, but there's nothing much nicer than flipping through a nice paper user guide.

      Most paper farms are carbon negative, which isn't surprising since they _literally grow trees._ Saying that it's an eco-friendly move is pure BS.

    I got one from Facebook Market for $125, it was like new, not a single scratch, and it came with the fan controller and the 3 fans, I was impressed, it looks like it can be in fashion for at least 8 years, I used to have Thermaltake Core P5 for over 7 years and I never thought I'd replaced it until now!

    Looks lovely and a nice addition to the 5000 range. I own the 5000X which is a lovely case for £140. This at £350 for a few extra LEDS? You must be joking! PS Glad i've found a UK based Tech channel dropped you a sub sir!

    • @viathenomad
      @viathenomad Před rokem +5

      It includes a Commander core fan and rgb hub which is £50 and 3 x LL120 fans which are £72. Not to mention a single LED strip is £15 so let’s say there’s 2 worth of those in it which bring those additions to £162 of extras over the 5000D. The 5000T is £200 more than the 5000D. Those additions I mentioned are pre-installed and plugged in so that extra £38 covers that and the cooler case design. The 5000T also has more front IO ports than the 5000D.

  • @knottymaker3904

    I've been saying it for months.
    Because of the madness in the GPU market people are simply not building and therefore not buying other components for a build. I said this on other reviews that it will start to effect other companies profits with falling sales and therefore crazy pricing on other products.
    You only have to look at the mad prices of new motherboards now.
    The greed in the GPU market is driving up prices on other components with the drop of sales and people not buying and building.

    Problem with this one is the fans aren't the Corsair premium QL ones. The LLs are good (actually better in some respects), but to include just three of them on a £350 case with no exhaust is just silly.
    The 5000X QL edition is actually not 'terrible' value at £280 as it has 4x QL fans which are near £100 alone, so for aesthetic and for someone who JUST wants the QL fans for RGB purposes then there's justification for it. But the 5000T is hard to argue a case for.

    @5federline Před 2 lety +2

    Yea. $399 can be consider less expensive than Cooler Master HAF700 $499. Corsair 5000T seem more airflow & RGB than HAF700, maybe 2 gigantic non-rgb fans & a lot of acrylic bar at the front make it so premium. 🤣

    • @itsblados
      @itsblados Před 2 lety +1

      on the flipside, the HAF700 supports twice the cooling, much larger parts, and comes with a large array of accessories. also 2x200mm is better for intake airflow than 3x120mm, especially considering that its LL120's, fans known for the poor performance it offers vs its price.
      also those "Acrylic bars" are actually TG.

    At what point are companies pricing TOO many people out of being able to buy components? . . . this is getting ridiculous, and before anyone states just buy a budget case . . . well yah that's an option but companies charging exorbitant prices for features that should exist in mid-tier cases should not be a thing . . . At a time when so many companies are competing to make cases, why do they end up making basically the same case? Even the touted 011D is a compromise, why? Build cases for air OR water cooling, stop the pathetic attempt at making a single case for everyone.
    That case is needlessly large for air cooling, The three fans to the right of the motherboard are not only useless but actually hurt cooling because the air is pulled in at the front and then immediately shoved back out by those fans. Now someone is going to say 'orient the side fans to pull air in instead', yes because you buy that 400 dollar rgb case to install the fans with the ugly side exposed?! Seriously, it has not occurred to Corsair to produce fans that flow air backwards?!
    So the side area isn't for fans, what is it for? A pump reservoir? Where's the bracket for mounting my Quantum Kinetic pump/res combo and how do I fill in the void if I don't mount fans there? That would be useful and obvious! So one of those flat reservoirs then? Alright, but only 2 360's? So water cooling is not ideal either. Let's reconsider air cooling, what's the best way to the cool the most important part of a computer that is air cooled? The GPU., What's the best way to cool a GPU? Blow cold air directly on the GPU! Does this case do that? Nope, power supply is in the way. Sadly, the 'water cooling case' does offer bottom fans to cool air cooled GPUs in the 011D, the case you couldn't mount a rad in the bottom of for water cooling.
    If the case is going to be expensive anyway, put a custom 1K watt platinum power supply on the back side with a proprietary design allowing it to be mounted vertically and flat that is fan-less. The circuit board would run the top to bottom to form a distribution panel like on super high end systems.
    That same case with a 360 rad mount in the bottom instead of the PS shroud with the stupid cut out to show the label would be way better, even if you just installed a couple of fans to blow cold air on the GPU. Seriously? A cut out to show the PS brand?!
    It's another compromised design but thank god it has those 2.5 and 3.5 drive mounts!! Because you gotta have somewhere to put terabytes of porn, right?
