It really was. Hell it made an impact on me even at 8 years old. It was the first event of that size and cope ever. I remember watching all day but Queen stood out and I knew something special was happening because the crowd was so into it compared to the other acts. I always made sure not go to the bathroom when the American feed would switch to what was happening over in London, they had most of the acts I wanted to see lol.

Most voices aren’t done done any justice by recordings but Freddie’s voice still sounds great on an almost 40 year old recording. Forget talented, he was a force of nature.

Absolutely!! I have watched soooo very many live concerts. I honestly, in over 40 years worth, I have not found a Better of even comparable set done, by any band, individual, ... yes, the BEST! I really don't think it can or ever will be topped. You just cannot!

The funniest part of this is that as Queen was leaving the stage after the set, David Bowie, who was on next, told Freddie sarcastically "thanks a lot", knowing it would be impossible to follow that.

At Live Aid Queen blew every band out of the water. Freddie was absolutely fabulous and what a performer. Still to this day Love Love Freddie. He is so missed. Legend and Icon forever and ever!!!!!!
