- One of the greatest performances in the history of Rock... With restored intro by comedians Griff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith. Set: 01:43 - Entrance 02:13 - "Bohemian Rhapsody" 04:21 - "Radio Ga Ga" 08:29 - "Aye-Oh" 09:12 - "Hammer to Fall" 13:44 - "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" 17:39 - "We Will Rock You" 18:57 - "We Are the Champions" 22:37 - "The End Of Rock Music As We Knew It" UNTIL NOW: (Short version: "Help stamp out 'Clickety-clap'! Get REAL music here: evetsocrates.bandcamp.com/ )
Long Version: I see a lot of people saying they miss freddie, or george, or bowie, or they want the '80s back! And that's great, people wanting that Spirit to come back again! Also, because I myself have always been suffused with that same spirit! If you're looking for that quality of music, you'll find it here on my bandcamp: evetsocrates.bandcamp.com/
Going to, buying, sharing, listening, and talking about this music you will be helping reawaken and share that Spirit again. As a profuse, demiurgic person, with over 1,200 songs written and recorded (yes simply look on my website for the list, www.evetsocrates.com), I have always continued to promote that creative healthy awakened spirit! If you're tired of that constant 'Clickety-clap' and want to hear something with substance, people playing actual instruments, please go to and share my bandcamp music. Rock on!
Miss you Freddie, David, Georgio, Stuart, Diana, Vangelis, Eddie, Prince, Neil, and All! "Keep those fires burning"!
~E.S. - Hudba
A Special THANK YOU to Brian May and QUEEN for allowing this clip to remain (when the other Live Aid sets I posted with it were removed.) Only mistake on this version was lack of noise reduction on the intro, and also at the time I didn't know the movie was being made! LIVE AID STILL ROCKS my world through and through, and if the planet can ever 'Rock' like that again, I'll be there! "The Show Must Go On..!"
Wow that’s really kind of Brian May and Queen!
Live is love 🎉 2:10

It really was. Hell it made an impact on me even at 8 years old. It was the first event of that size and cope ever. I remember watching all day but Queen stood out and I knew something special was happening because the crowd was so into it compared to the other acts. I always made sure not go to the bathroom when the American feed would switch to what was happening over in London, they had most of the acts I wanted to see lol.

Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Bob Geldof, were backstage watching Queen's set, and McCartney said "Well that's it, who's going to go on after that !". Elton went into Freddie's trailer after the set and said "You bastards ! You stole the show !!!" he was so impressed.

CJ Best Idk, I think they did. Hell, I remember watching this on TV and I sure wished I was there in person! I’m sure they felt especially lucky seeing Queen considering they stole the show.
What’s funny is it’s been said that before they went on stage Freddie Mercury was worried that the people in the audience wouldn’t be people who were Queen fans. It didn’t take long for him to realize he was wrong. (Just listen to the crowd go wild when they introduced them.) Not only that, seeing everyone participate in the song Radio Ga Ga was absolutely CRAZY!!

It doesn't matter how many times I watch this performance by Queen with Freddie completely owning that Wembley crowd. It NEVER EVER gets old!!! ❤❤❤
The funniest part of this is that as Queen was leaving the stage after the set, David Bowie, who was on next, told Freddie sarcastically "thanks a lot", knowing it would be impossible to follow that.

@@shirleylynn6481 Two of the greatest ever, and both deeply missed!
There are two kinds of people in the world- those who think Queen's Live Aid show was the greatest show of all time, and those who have never seen it.
Check out their Wembley show from 1986. I saw Queen live in the US four times and the video of that show is the most pumped I'd ever seen them. They came out on fire and stayed on fire. Live Aid was twenty minutes on a shared stage. Great for what it was but in no way a full show.
Amen.
@@andrewneumann3732 I'm extremely jealous of you, wasn't born till 92 and there are no musicians now that I would go to a concert for.
@@philglass295 Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters said that his very first concert was Queen. The poor guy also said that everything was downhill from there. Queen came to play I can tell you that. Louder than Metallica, Van Halen or KISS but they never sounded muddy or cluttered. And Fred was the show. I've always said Mick Jagger is a rooster that struts around and makes you look at him because of all his yelling (disclaimer, I love Mick exactly for that reason). Where Freddie was a peacock who could care less if you looked at him or not. Thing was, you couldn't take your eyes off the guy. Freddie acted like as if he was saying "if you don't look at me, it's your loss". He was the best frontman I have ever seen.
@@andrewneumann3732 I wish I could have seen one live show, just one. It's kinda sad when all of my favorite musicians are already dead and I'm too much of a youngling to have seen them live.
Not a millimetre of ground can be seen, this is definitely a unifying feeling. Also Queen didn't waste a second to get down to business of being epic, legend yet professional.

You can feel the energy trough the screen. They were really phenomenal. Freddie is glorious, I say it elsewhere but in that moment, they were like gods amongst mens.
@@strawberryblondemilk7249 Yes. But personally, I think today it's just different. I would have loved, if I had that tool back then, to share all the shows I've got to see with the younger generations my kids and grandkids. They have the chance to it today and as long as they enjoy it, then it's ok for me. I will surely do that if go to a show. I would have loved to have theses memories, taped and shared here for the others who were too young or didn't have the chance to see theses shows themselves. Not for the likes and clouts but to share my love of music. Imagine all the shows we didn't get to see. Many were recorded or broadcasts but many more weren't. They are lost forever but for the ones who were lucky enough to be there, and generous enough to tell us how it was. Today we have wonderful tools. Why don't we used it? I say this as a 48 years old.

I was at live aid and what makes this so special is that Queen have choreographed a concert into a 20 minute slot. Most other acts from the Who to Paul Mccartney just played a set of four of five songs and went off for the next act. What Queen did was to play the audience with a musical operetta of their hits and with such great showman to do it. It really did lift the crowd and you can see that. Its a masterclass in how to fill 20 minutes of rock music. I doubt any other band would or could do it but that it was makes Freddie so special.
Totally agree, I was there as well, history never ever will be repeated. Proud to be part of a historical event.

@Ramiro Garcia go home you're drunk.
With the help of the Retro Decade Revival Project, there will be more songs like this nowadays. Without remixes, samplings and auto-tunes, filled with original lyrics and never ever lost in music. Our goal is to bring real entertainment, true talent, pure originality and diversity, old school and more back into the public mainstream, starting with the 1980s. I send some songs to Elton John along with some drawings. I hope he likes them as much as I do.
And well rehearsed
@Ramiro Garcia Of course music wasn't invented in the 1980s. Music has been around since the beginning. I bear no ill will to music from the 90s, 2000s and 10s.
The moment Freddie took control of the audience and got them to perform a perfect improvised a capella call and response with him was the moment that every other band playing that day realized they would just be a footnote of Queen's greatest performance.

Не важно сколько тебе лет:80, 30, 20,10. Ты всегда будешь петь песни Queen. Легенда. Очень жаль, что я родилась после его смерти и не могла лицезреть это в живую, но сам факт существования этого феномена доводит меня до слез
They were incredibly talented, charismatic, larger than life, they really were like gods among mens.

Freddie Mercury's vocal play with the crowd would have to be the greatest single, individual moment in Rock and Roll history.
And Queen themselves...what can you say?
Four individuals who together became one of the greatest bands to ever grace the planet.
yeah her majesty nearly explode the planet..
My dad loves queen so much since he was 10 and now he is turning 47 and he still listenes to queen❤
After watching Bohemian, it is mandatory to watch this video right after. You will truly appreciate Rami Malek’s performance in the movie even more.
Rami Malek might just win the Oscar for his performance.
He totally rock his character.
I got chills watching his interpretation.
completely agree... he was so accurate... its unbelievable how good is he
Just saw it going again tomorrow he will win an Oscar for sure if not a few
Soooo much! Hands down. 👏
Imagine how many times Rami Malek had to watch this
...and then get the choreography perfect also
Yes lol
In the behind the scenes, he mentioned that he studied videos of the performance so many times, so that he mimicked the entire thing. Rami Malek deserved his Golden Globe and Oscar. No one else could've done anything close to what he did.
He will remember it yet? Hahahahah
I probably watched it just as much 😆
