  • 1991 was a great year for awards for Another World! In addition to the four winners I've included in this clip, AW also was honored with nominations for Stephen Schnetzer as outstanding lead actor, & Tom Eplin & Carmen Duncan for outstanding villain & villainess. With the 10-minute time limit for CZcams videos, I decided to only include the actors that took home awards at this ceremony...I also included the montage & presentation for the award for outstanding love story because it featured a lot of Frankie/Cass/Kathleen clips, & because "Dean & Jenna" were the presenters.
And yes, that is Anne Heche with brown hair -- she dyed it for a while right after she left AW to be considered for different movie roles.
    Enjoy!!

It was also nice to see the late John Spencer as a presenter looking so debonair (red bow tie and white silk scarf--I believe this is when he was on L.A. Law, but I'll always remember him best as Leo McGarry from The West Wing), and the commentary on the Frankie/Cass/Kathleen triangle was great! Thanks for this look at the SOD Awards when we used to have them (and when the awards used to mean something), and ANOTHER WORLD ROCKS!!!!!

How funny was the commentary on the Frankie/Cass/Kathleen triangle? Very, very funny!
And I don't care if Anne Heche is a little crazy, I love her.

I can honestly say that every win here was well deserved (but I think the Outstanding Love Story award should have gone to the Frankie/Cass/Kathleen triangle, of course)! Anne's speech was the best, loved Alla's outfit, PMV and RPG were hot in their tuxes.

I was only 15 when her storyline wrapped but remember that Bernice was killed by Mark Venerable. They didnt show the scene, as I recall but I
it was mystery who done it for a few months. The audience was supposed to believe John did it.

Why can't I find a picture of Janis Young , She played my favorite character Bernice Robinson, who tried to steal away John Ranoldph from Pat Randolph. She was there from 1969-1973. I do not know how her part ended. I am guessing she must be in her 70's now, but I use to love here.

How ironic, the current Jake/Joey on AMC was up against one of the former Joeys (Michael Brainerd)...
