Those insurance companies hire these 3rd party contractors just to deny the claim. back in the 90's i leased a truck and when it came close to the warranty from chevy expiring, the leasing company offered me an extended warranty that was relatively inexpensive. after about a year or so the transmission was acting up so I took it to a friends shop who said it was toast. so the warranty company sent out a third party inspector who said the transmission problem was a pre-existing condition. like WTF I never heard of such a thing and how could they determine a mechanical failure was pre-existing. later doing some research I found the warranty company was banned from doing business in michigan for bad practices. denying claims is how these scumbags make their money. the state attorney general got all the money I paid to the warranty company refunded which wound up being enough of a reimbusemet for what I paid to get the transmission rebuilt.
