Personally, I thought Kendall was the best option because she danced and sang great but I think they thought she was maybe too tall and mature compared to Matty B who back then was like 3 feet tall.

MacKenzie sang with lots of confidence , Jojo danced great, and Kendalls voice was amazing! I would of had a hard time choosing!
@VDB FunHouse she didn’t do too well with the dancing here tho, problem with kenzie was she struggled with improve, so she just did what she does well which was tricks. I think if jojo could sing she’d have had this part.

I know it’s like if my dance teacher tells me at a dance competition to do a handstand instead of a backtuck/ backflip and my friend does a backtuck and she can do handstands better than me.
It's because Mackenzie is bad at improve. So she panicked and relied on what she knows.

Honestly though I’m team Abby for saying Mackenzie should be paid for her feature. That’s a big manager move she pulled for Mackenzie and she’s right. Matty B’s management team was taking advantage of the girls and the free exposure from a hit television show.
Abby was right in saying that Mackenzie should be paid for her feature but by this point it was too late because Melissa had already signed a contract for Mackenzie to do the video. If it was that important to Abby, she should have made it clear to Melissa not to sign anything that didn’t have Mackenzie as a feature, and Abby should have been on time and not late so she could go over the contracts and actually do the job of a manager
I agree when it comes to Kenzie because she should be built as an artist considering she is one. However, Holly also had a point. You have to be careful because if your reputation in the industry is tarnished (even by the smallest things), it could ruin so much in the future. Nia and Jojo shouldn't of gotten in trouble for still wanting to do the project. I think that was a good move on their part. But, that's just my opinion.
the real story was Maddie, Mackenzie and Kendall were contracted to an agent in LA. They were not allowed to do unsolicited work or it would be breach of contract. But that is boring and they had to add drama
Honestly idk why Jills little Kendall wasn’t even considered. They liked her as a dancer and her singing was really good. But I’m even more surprised Jill didn’t even care and there was no clip of her saying “my little Kendall would’ve been great in that role!”

Also, Kenzie is cute and a known singer. They're gonna do what makes mattyb look best, as they're working for him. Having a name like kenzie collaborating with him would make him look good. Jojo couldn't sing it right, Kendall was too tall and would make mattyb look small and childlike. Kenzie was prob the perfect fit overall
