Bahamut was the absolute peak. I actually respect that they didn't wait for the end to show that spectacle, it's important to keep people very engaged in the story.
Bahamut is my favorite summon beast in every FF series..but in here, he is far beyond epic!. Like HOLY GRAIL!
You should see his ultimate when you unlock his powers LASER POINTER OF DEATH

Ifrit is now the Asura of the FFXVI universe
Because Asura is the first game i know that gives the most epic battles with world scale to universe scale combat soo fiercest that you might tremble a bit the first time you played.
And ifrit here is nearly almost as badass as asura (clive is not really).
It's kinda ironic that ifrit got the spotlight. Considering HE is the penultimate boss of the previous final fantasy, he is still the rival of bahamut just like the previous final fantasy though albeit slightly inferior.

Titan boss battle and the bahamut boss battle were absolute spectacles. Some of the best cinematic game scenes I've ever seen.
i remember playing final fanasy 9 for the first time, and the battle between bahamut and alexander was, at the time, the greatest spectacle i've ever seen in a videogame.
and now, many years later, i'm seeing this and giving me that same level of amazement.
FF16 feels (and looks) a lot like FF9.
Ff9 was my favourite behind 7 all because 7 was the first one I played in the series. 6,8,10 and 15 are still peak tho dissidia was a good idea too putting them all together without Donald, goofy and the giant back door key 🔑
@@adamstokoe1 from a gameplay perspective, FF9 was my favourite too.
FF7 was really flawed because it marked the "new era" for the FF franchise and they were experimenting with the gameplay and system.
FF9 on the other hand, pretty much perfected the classic formula and the class-based system. the only change i'd do with it is make the ATB maybe at least 25% faster, but other than that, it's essentially a polished version of the FF6 system.

This game's bossfights make me feel in awe like a kid again.
Titan and Bahamut are going to go down as some of the most spectacular fights in video game history. Shit was beyond cinema.
Ramuh and Shiva are still freaking amazing their appearance and incredible characters! XD
Overall, all their eikons are still great, in my opinion! 😆😁
The "plummeting" portion between Ifrit and Phoenix is so reminiscent of Gandalf and the Balrog scene from LOTR TT.

It's wild how Donald Duck used Zettaflare before ANY incarnation of Bahamut.
Omega flare can literally nuked the planet zetta Should totally eviscerate it.
Funny enough, Donald Duck is way more powerful than anyone in this game. Kingdom Hearts just has too many plot BS that makes their character insane

It’s what’s going to make this game one of the best FF in the series having summons be the biggest highlight and use of the plot and game as well as their screen time and the lore behind them, this game is sooo good

reading around, lot of people have their ps5 turning off by overheating during some ff16 boss battle
@@giovannibalsamo6178 I wouldn't be surprised if PS5 consoles begin shutting down when something like Zettaflare comes up. In fact, I wouldn't feel too disappointed either.
NOT that I'm ignoring the performance issues, but if something of this magnitude can break a PS5, that's impressive. It's like good old Crysis when the game would break computers.
@@y.matocinos8448 guess someone should use a watt meter to check how close to the 350W limit the console gets during those boss fights. Not to mention that more recent C chassis model has a cooler that is about 1/3 of the size of the chunky original chassis A model + genial idea to release the game on summer.

It would've been great to see Fire vs Ice, but she's generally the smallest and weakest eikon and won'tput up much of a fight for Ifrit in comparison to the scales of Titan and Bahamut. At least we got some Epic scenes with her fighting Titan at the start and then providing support in later fights.

Final fantasy has come a long way.. i remember when i firsy played this game cartoony graphics with one. Summon only now you use the summons already whish granted.. i dont knownif im the only playing this game because of godforces aeons or eikons 😅

My favourite summons will however still be Shiva and Titán, a shame that Alexander doesn't appear.

Final Fantasy really do know how to make an epic battle and amazing fantasy, but the announcement of this slain that slain is really annoying though, it ruin the moments.
I hope one day final fantasy will have protagonist with the host of Bahamut. Man I love Bahamut than other monsters/gods/eikons, bahamut is a total badass and only loosing because of 2v1. Bahamut might be capable to beat all other eikon if it was one on one

To be fair not every summon comes in every game. I mean titan did come back intel 14 and 15 he skipped out on 13 And Diablo's barely even comes sometimes. Along with a couple of others.

Every boss in this game is the equivalent of an on rails, fake interactive, "can't lose the car chase" segments ala Cyberpunk and the Saints Row reboot.

The first fight represents everything wrong with this game.
The fight was needless...those were traitors he was killing. Clive thinks this low of Eikons. He thinks their protecting god would simply burn them without cause, even though an assassination force is proof of betrayal from the inside. And don't come to me with emotions, he did not know his father was dead by this point. As far as he knew, he turned to protect his father from doom.
The Empire taking over Joshua's kingdom, essentially reuniting all monarchic structures in one target to be taken down by the Republic, evidences an attempt at an agenda.
A monarchy is outdated, I recognize that, but without a homeland, the message becomes merely "burn everything to the ground". Rosalia fell. It became a faceless enemy we need to destroy along with the rest of the Empire. No change to improve its political system was promoted. Only its destruction. Its destruction and its people. Joshua and Clive don't even rebuild their homeland.
It's disgraceful. But I would be unfair if I said that it wasn't smart, the way it was presented. But they won't have me fooled. At the very least, I'll seek fanfiction to actually enjoy this story without being fed this agenda.

I hated the soundtrack that plays during the fight against typhon and Titan Lost is very disjointed I was very disappointed
The whole sound part of the lost Titan fight is bad not only in the soundtrack part but also in the boss sound itself
Different strokes and all, I love the music in both those fights.
It definitely lacked impact, compared to something like Bahamut 2nd phase which was fire.
