- In this elden ring video I'm testing if 10 of any of the main bosses in elden ring can survive the furnace golem. To run this test I'm using one of the strongest versions of the furnace golem from the shadow of the erdtree DLC and I've put him up against 10 of the strongest bosses at the same time.

@@virusyessineg 1st fight with 1st phase Malenia did approx. 25%-20% damage. The next did about 65%-60%. Even if the fights were to be back-to-back against the same golem, the golem would most likely have won via "Big Shoe Lmfao."
@@Nameless_Godzilla While it usually isn't, Scarlet Aeonia was her most effective attack in this fight in particular. It would have helped a lot.

Apparently the golem has infinite poise vs Bosses for some reason
Pretty sure it was made this way too make it somewhat competitive otherwise almost all bosses would have killed it with little difficulty. 10 bosses at the same time would just do too much poise damage.

10 Rennalas is more than a bit of a problem for anything to go against. They did pretty well against Unalloyed Malenia iirc.
Yeah any of my faith based fire builds typically have to use lightning bolt to take down Mohg.

This thing is so lucky that destined death DoT doesn't work on it for some reason, otherwise I can't imagine what would’ve happened to it with all the projectiles those ten Malikeths were throwing :)

He seems to get confused being surrounded by large enemies and becomes very passive and loses. But small enemies directly under him like Malenia he just spams jump and kills them all easily.

@@pietrocatalano4285well that’s because in the dlc everything is scaled up very high, if they had matched scaling though its a different story. But yes everything in dlc is super upscaled and not scaled with everything in the base game, thats why theres a whole new upgrade system for the dlc

The poor Gideons spending most of the fight firing off spells that didn’t have the range to reach it, truly they needed help.
If they had depth perception, it could've ended differently
They really need to limit his skills. The malenia and mohg skillets are completely useless in the boss confrontations. Just give him nothing but his most basic moveset and he is much more powerful. The movesets he gets from fighting bosses actually make him worse.
I like how slow his movements are, it's like he just woke up and isn't sure what's happening

those 10 Placidusax had the screen lookin like a rave for almost half the fight hahaha and the landing over one another and then just sliding of was a really funny visual lol
The AI on this guy is fun to puzzle out. Basically, if the enemy is too fast, the golem turns into Mario spamming super jumps. Triggering that response is specific, but you can tell on the first Godskin fight and both Malenias, the opponent was too nimble, and this the Super Stomp Spam began, and didnt end until the Golem was the only thing on the field. Radahn didnt trigger that until the Meteor Drop attacks, and Placidusax with his fade and strike attack (when your computer could show anything, that is)

I think more than anything, this emphasizes that the opening cinematic with Messemer, his army, & multiple furnace golems sieging the city were a force that would have been utterly unstoppable without some ridiculously powerful mages on the opposing side.
Also, surprising how many of the Dragonkin Soldiers' Ice Lightning Spears got thrown upwards rather than used as ground-aimed projectiles to set off their AoE properly.

Furnace golems are only this tough because of in-game gimmicks. In lore, while certainly a formidable weapon, they’re nowhere near this powerful.

@@PierceArnerin game these guys are meant to be poise broken then crit for insane damage or killed by hefty fire pots to the head which do extra damage to them, they are more like obstacles than enemies and they aren’t meant for these kind of boss fights, therefore we shouldn’t use something the devs didn’t plan for (like genuinely you have to modify the game itself to do this stuff) as evidence of how powerful something is in the lore even if it’s fun to think about or watch

Gameplay and story segregation
Probably couldnt do shit vs Maliketh/Godfrey and alike
Messmer himself, would probably be contested by Malenia, Radahn, Godfrey, Maliketh and Radagon.
The Furnace Golems would probably be dealt with by armies. Given there are Trebuchets that would help hold them off, and you can have some Carian sorcerers blasting them with magic to boot.

The Elden Beast flexed his many muscles and took offence to the existence of profaned fires before his holy presence, and sumnarily burned the golem away in sprays of cosmic light.
Sad it took ten of them but good work still. He still has the golen beat in terms of lore implications so that's good.
The final fight against Leda, Dryleaf, Moore, Hornsent and Freya vs boosted bosses, maybe even old NPCs. Please make it happen!

Those things can't be killed, you just gotta destroy the skulls for them to sit down. Which can be done in a single AOE for the golem. However. Them stomping on somebody is an instakill. It doesn't do damage. It sets your status to dead
