You and my sister are kindred spirits. She , all by herself, moved her bedroom to a smaller room in her house and her craft room into the former bigger bedroom. What a difference that made! She now has more room to do all the things she loves. Yes, change is a good thing. You go girl!!

Being five hours “behind” you, it was nice to wake up to the beautiful Bealtaine Cottage Garden! My opinion: align yourself with nature, do what is good and right, be kind to others, and do the best you can. Dear Colette, Embracing change can be both scary and liberating. We have to move forward or our lives simply become stagnant. My belief is that we are put in certain situations to see how we are able to deal with such situations. Looking back on my own journey throughout life, I think back and actually wonder how I made it this far in life. The answer is change. When one is able to adapt (change) to certain situations one is able to move forward and other options open up for use to see which direction we want to go.

When we feel "stuck" it takes us just one thing to make a change, as you said, that gets us going to strive for more, and it gives us positive free flowing energy it seems. It is the effort to make that first change which I find can be hard, and as you also said, scary at times. But change freshens us up, sets our spirits free, opens the door to new exciting possibilities. xxx

The craziness of this time of upheaval politically and environmentally is certainly hard to endure and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the peace of mind when we are horrified, exposed to such craziness and hostilities in our world.
We all have to continue to be present with kindness and nurturing for ourselves, others and the environment with tenderness and wonderment by living in a place of gratitude and love in each precious moment of our lives ❤
We all have to learn from each experience with a healthy perspective on how to create a new relationship with respect and compassion for each other regardless of our differences between us. ❤

Dear Colette, This was the message I needed to hear today....thank you. I retired in 2022 due to health reasons, and have my 63rd birthday coming up on the 21st. I have been feeling despondent of late as I realize that my body is not able to do the same things I used to do. I went from being fairly active to being disabled in 2 years from injury. I've been feeling pretty sorry for myself, but after I watched your video, it helped me to realize that I should look at my 'new body' as something to embrace and assimilate, rather than have regret and distain towards. It changes your whole perspective on life to refer to the changes in my body as a transition to adapt to, rather than something that is broken. I've heard this message before, but no one touched me so eloquently as yours. Thank you. xx Here's to transitions!
Great reflection! Your body is just a tool that your brain and spirit use in different ways and in different times of life. Tools in the garden, the kitchen, the workshop, or wherever myriad situations of life can break or wear out and sometimes you replace them for a new one and other times you adapt to something new to accommodate either the loss, or the lessor function of that tool. A very nice attitude! 👏👏

I can’t verbally express myself the way you do. Your videos inspire me in so many ways. Currently I’m overwhelmed with the many things that I should have been doing the last several years and don’t have the mental energy to do them. I’ve basically been hibernating in my home with limited outings with family and friends. I have some physical issues that inhibit me from doing certain things outside and I have to be very careful inside as well. Thank you for your videos, they’re very special to me.
We each live our life in the best way we can. To do our best and be our best equals a good life.

Oh Colette, I love what You have done with Your Bedroom/Dream Temple , so lovely . So true about Change , it is the only constant . I love to change things about in our wee Cottage there is always that chaotic part in between , but I just have to keep pottering and breathing through it . I love to play music, light some incense and turn on the lights, cleaning as I move pieces out, pop them somewhere to charge up and then play as I potter about and redecorate. It never goes back the same way , actually feels so much better, and has a Golden glow around everything . We have just had 2 skylights replaced so that shifted the energy too, and was like a domino effect of changing different rooms . Thanks for inspiring me to change another space , as You are so right, it changes Inside of me too . can definitely say that i became far too resistant to any change over the last year after a traumatic event. as it's been approaching the year anniversary of that, i could easily add this video to the many many times Nature has begun throwing symbols at me left and right to relearn to accept change, especially because how i was, was so unsustainable. this time i'm going to make changes for the better, and make those choices by my own volition

It's been the coldest, wettest, cloudiest Spring and start of Summer I can remember here in the West Country!

@@bealtainecottage What we are being told is a pack of lies to justify the 'climate change' agenda. The climate is always changing, like everything else. Soon everyone will know what has been going on. In southern UK, and most all of the UK, it has been freezing and windy for the last 12-18 months, including May and all last summer!

I love this video... I am embracing change also, in my beliefs & in my life.. My life change is the BIG change, being almost 56 I am still going through that, I am hoping that is winding down, as far as my beliefs, for so long I let others dictate how I believed until one day, it just all clicked and I said NO MORE!!!! My Pagan beliefs are my own and I don't care who knows anymore.. I also have changed all of my decor in my living room & kitchen to suit me, it is absolutely lovely..Thank you for such a GREAT video, it really spoke to me..

Hello Colette, I think change is always for the best,it does depend on what you want to change. Upcycling decorating moving house, all big events in day to day living,all bring on energy for new beginnings . I wear the Triskele as a pendant, it is more than a piece of jewellery, the earth universe movement of time reincarnation, oh yes it has many meanings. The woodland and gardens are looking wonderful. I did quite a lot of cutting back today first day of sunshine here since the rain earlier in the week, and yes temperatures have been low due to the Artic air flow we are told.

You got me thinking about change. Personal change vs changes one cannot control (like our political trajectory here which is dispiriting). Was thinking nature is always changing, yet also eternal. It is us as a species that are creating natural change at a hyperdrive speed with which the planet cannot cope. Yet if we want to try to change that, to slow that, to fix that, to repair our damage, it takes each and every one of us to change on a personal level. Thanks for initiating a thoughtful afternoon ponder on change personal/micro and change macro. It has me deciding to make some sort of a change a month as my personal effort/action.

A time for change...I saw you living in a cottage near the sea, walking the beach every day with Patsy, writing, a little beach garden, someone else stewarding your forest...Then, with a start of fear, I thought what if I am the one to change, not you? I was just writing to a friend about how terribly hard it is to leave a garden. I left my garden of 17 years, 3 years here and my garden is just beginning. But there is a restlessness.
Hi Colette! I agree that change is empowering, and it certainly does take courage. The beliefs of the Druids are interesting to me as well; from what I have learned, they didn´t document much, but rather passed along information verbally about their history -- I know they loved and revered Mother Earth greatly. Everything I´ve learned I really LIKE and I agree with their teachings so far. The old ways are fascinating to me - they are the best ways for sure. Christ spent time learning from the Druids, as well as other cultures. The older I get, the more I love and value the old ways. You mentioned the Triskele, I think itś a beautiful symbol; I also love the Creator´s Spiral and I wear it every day. The meaning is so deep and important to me, as I know it is to you too. I love making changes in my home. After a cold Connecticut winter of using our woodstove, the house always gets a deep clean. That usually leads to changes in our house. A good clearing out of things we don't need. I'm currently redoing my kitchen. Painting and decorating. Our yard is going through a tremendous change too! Our next door neighbor had every tree in their yard taken down ! Now we get beautiful sunshine all day. That caused us to rethink what we are planting this year. As time goes on, change is always a part of our lives . Better to embrace it and go with the flow ❤
Gosh Colette you have certainly jangled the bells in my brain with this video. I'm not at all keen on change although I regularly re-arrange my furniture and possessions but you are so right about the effect of change as I experience a little of this just doing my "spring move"! I'm going to have a ponder on how I can incorporate a little change in my life although its a little difficult as I care for my disabled husband and we live in a rather small bungalow. Perhaps I will start with a tiny clear-out and rethink the way I grow things in my allotment. Very cold wet and windy here up on the side of my Welsh valley.

I find at the age of 66. 1 year ago I had an NDE near death experience. The Divine has been sending messages to me through Angel numbers, The Bible, and dreams plus. You have quite an extensive container garden. It would be a great expense here to buy enough soil for all those containers. Do you make your own potting soil? Or are the natural soils there good enough to use in pots? Just wondering. If you make your own would you share some tips. You really have an awesome garden. I try to embrace change. I finding I'm having to work with fear as I welcome change.
I make tons of compost! There are lots of videos on my channel referring to this and lots of blogs on my website about this too!

Colette, Your idea to take out the double bed was a good one. I want to do the same but I can’t - I just bought it. It’s actually a great bed. It’s like sleeping on a giant marshmallow, but it eats up a lot of room in my bedroom. Anyway, your gardens are just incredible this year. This video is just breathtaking. Another gorgeously inspirational video! Those bees were so pretty. By the way, the micro-meadow (about 20 ft by 30 ft) with indigenous perennials that I planted, in a three-year process, after watching your videos, is thriving. Lots of daisies, fleabane, beebalm, lupins, beardtongue, etc.! Thus, the bees of Massachusetts thank you!

J’aime dans le jardin la taille des arbustes »en transparence » qui donne à découvrir la revitalisante beauté de l’architecture des branches , tout en laissant deviner ce qui est derrière et installe la curiosité de l’œil . La taille drastique que vous avez faite sur vos arbres est impressionnante, le résultat est magnifique, cela confirme ma démarche sur un tout petit jardin😮
Pour mon intérieur, je désencombre autant que je peux en chassant les objets juste décoratifs sauf les tableaux mais je garde des murs nus quand même, pour la respiration et l’ »appétit » du regard et je ne retiens pour la décoration que le « design » des objets qui ont une utilité, de la bouilloire aux meubles. Plus d’objets « souvenirs » qui prennent la poussière et l’espace, de gadget inutiles etc. (Enfin, j’essaie😂)
Je vois que vous continuez à remplir des cartons qui vont sûrement libérer du rangement: bon courage ; ce n’est pas évident comme démarche. Mais au final, il faut un certain vide spacial pour stimuler l’imagination et la créativité : vous n’en manquez pas. ❤

Change is one of those things that can be exhilarating and terrifying. Often at the same time. But the alternative is stagnation. Not good.
