Here in the South East of England we are having a lot of wind and I love it. It is interesting that you mention about the children, Patsy and wind as I’ve always found that cats too are effected by it.

Good morning Colette from rain swept northern Michigan…as an upper form teacher of English for many years, I can attest to the madness of a windy day! The electricity in the air transform even the more sedate students into jumpy balls of repressed energy. Often I would just have a private little chuckle, because we teachers were not immune-standing outside the building on our planning time, watching nature have her way with the world. Good time for teaching The Odyssey! It is windy here today, and my three very sedate and dignified indoor/ outdoor kitties are leaping across furniture and rooting among cushions. We are more alike than we care to admit. Blessings to you …

Another wonderful video. It seems we've been having odd weather as well, warm and sunny one day and chilly and overcast the next, here in Alaska. Right now, I have several workers cutting grass/weeds, cutting back bushes, etc., which I try to do every year; however, our long winters and lots of snow doesn't allow for much moving around, so I don't seem to have the energy. This summer I want to put in perennial flower beds around the yard like your beautiful ones. Like it or not, age creeps up on us and the energy dissipates as well. You mentioned decluttering and clearing out our homes as well. I too am one of those with the desire to clean, especially what I really don't need or want anymore. This has been a long process. I'm sure lots of folks shopping the charity store were happy - I got rid of so many nice things, I just didn't need or want anymore. I cleaned out and painted one room and put in some exercise equipment to use this next winter. I don't like the feeling of getting so out of shape, muscle wise, thereby getting weak. I enjoy your stormy weather videos. Your flowers are gorgeous. Are you still looking for more land, or did that fall through?
I adore your garden . I used too have lots of flower "patches " all around my yard. Medical problems have stopped that and I only have my memories. Everything that you have is beautiful and puts on a nonstop show . May God continue to bless you and Patsy in all your endeavors. Blessings.

Again, you bring such words of wisdom to the world. We all need to slow down and appreciate the glory of what Mother Nature is doing, take the time to sit and just be. We can observe and soak in the wonder of it all! I put an antique camp cot on my screened-in porch so that I can nap after working in the gardens all day and sleep out with the night noises and breeze, it's heavenly! When the last things you see before drifting off to sleep are the stars, you know that life is good! However, I too have the situation where there is very little room left for more plants and trees, there is already such abundance. Thank you for all you do and Blessings to you and Patsy!

Your wind chimes here make me want to restring an old set I have here at the lake cabin where I live in Central Texas. I need to buy some strong string and put them up on a tree limb outside my front door so that I can enjoy them again. I lost 33 lbs. a couple of years ago walking and cutting out sugar and white stuff like flour and rice and potatoes for a few months until I got to my goal weight. It sounds radical, but it really does work. That and drinking lots and lots of water to help melt the fat away. Best of luck to you on your health goals! So enjoying your channel!

Beautiful. I wonder if you have to manage ticks and so forth? Where I live it's managing ticks, venemous snakes, and some pretty aggressive scorpions as well as tarantulas I just don't want on my doorstep. I need a pretty big border between various woodland areas in my patch of universe.

Thank you for the peaceful walk through your garden. We are many miles apart, but I have many of the same plants in my Michigan, US garden.
As I kept your title in mind and saw your paths in the garden, I found myself in somewhat a meditative state. I realized there are infinite shades of green. There are so many stomata and cellular processes in the leaves which are infinite, just like the universe.

Hello Colette, enjoyed the video I'm pleased with the plants in my gardens too, we seemed to get a lot of the tail end of the winds coming over from the West Ireland and Wales in between before it comes here, The colours are glorious. The perennials just grow better over time.My neighbours are very generous in their comments and compliments, I'm just giving a helping hand Gaia does the hard work.

💜💜Good morning Colette, I used to walk my neighbors dogs every day sometimes twice a day. She's a nurse in the hospital and her dogs were rescues from Mexico. There wasn't a day I didn't enjoy walking those every Season in which you can experience things like the rain, wind, falling leaves and groups of birds flying in unison overhead. Mother Earth offers up so much beauty in our lives.... but we have to be out in her element to really experience it. He is “slow-stitched” using scrap fabrics, yarn, etc & I’ve just finished him . Textile Art.

Hi Colette, love your wind chimes in the garden! I have two on my cherry tree they are so relaxing! The sun came out for a while todayso took the opportunity to have a wander along the lane, seems there are lots of poppies about! Over the last few days we have been visited by a magpie! and three woodpeckers also which were a delight to see, I think words got out about the porridge oats! Many blessings to you and little Patsy ❤❤
Indeed! I have find porridge oats to be the cheapest and maybe the most nutritious food to feed the birds as well as being homegrown so to speak!

hello garden community/ i live in a similar climate... should i be concerned about plantings close to the house? i don't have the same finish as this lovely cottage. I have wood. thought someone here might have some insight. I am worried about mold.
I have heard not to plant close to a house because of dampness. Moisture causes the structure to deteriorate. I leave about a foot wide strip between garden and house and fill it with stone or gravel.
