Seeing the infobar at the bottom? Might have confused people on that one in the vid - Thanks for doing this. With all the limitations console has, Im glad Giants and the modders took time to make this possible. Ty MrSealyP for providing us with the info!
It would be cool if the radio forecasted the weather. Does this do that? I'm a sucker for in game media being paired to in game conditions like in GTA SA when Julio G says "it's raining out there be careful." It would be cool to hear "mostly cloudy with scattered showers across the goldcrest valley" and later be like "Widespread drout in Australia is expected to boost grain and lentel prices."

You also know a 'couple' can officially be used (as long as not addressing a couple, as in a partner and partner) to address a small amount of items in an order or summary. In my book 4 items is still a small amount, as long we are not talking about illness.

Downloaded seasons right after work. Watched some of the video on my lunch break. The afternoon went by so slow! Still in early spring on the 9 day season and waiting to plant.

The update we got added the script to the base game to comply with console script rules. Thats probably why we won’t get some future add on updates on console. Giants would have to update the base game again

Mr SealyP, on the crop rotation you said "when I put Canola in next that increases my wheat bonus for the year previous". But that is not exactly correct. When adding a new row, the previous rows become future years in the rotation, not previous years. Terrific video. Thank you for it!!

Gr8 vid m8 👍😊👍 It didn't crash on my xbox, but it didn't work either, and the snowblower did nothing at all. But I think maybe that's the point of that geo pack it's always deep snow. I thought it was kinda funny that it said Forza horizon4 at you screen when you where about to install the snowyland pack on you ps4. 😊
Funny thing is that winter is the best season by far for making money using snow plowing contracts. Some areas can be very tricky to clear as thend to be cars,containers and so inside the area u need to clear but it is still doable. Ofc it all depends on how mutch it snows but they are VERY profitable. Note u need a mod for the snowplowing equipment.
A nice touch would have been if the snow lay on roof tops headgerows walls etc: not complaining absolutely love that we now have seasons just a thought. Great vid thank you MrSealyp Realismismodding and Giants👍🏻
Since this came with a Game-Patch and Giants marketed it with a trailer and under the description "in cooperation with Giants", it feels like they have no excuse for not adding Seasons in some capacity in Stock-FS21.
Great vid, and so glad this is finally released. I loved it in 17, and am loving the enhanced features into 19 even more...except the lack of weeds. Yes, they appear in patches, which is true to life, but they're pretty much roleplay only now, as so few spawn, and the impact to yield is so negligible, it's not worth the effort or cost to spray anymore. Other than that, fantastic!
Whoever did the snowy mods actually did a good job, just some sections of road are really bricks like Minecraft and that’s the only thing that bothers me. But he even went to detail it where snow doesn’t appear under your vehicles/equipment which is 👌🏼 like dude should be paid honestly lol

Small piece of advice for new Seasons players, if you just downloaded the mod and never played used it before. Don't "mix and match" GEOS by activating them simultaneously. Uninstall extras completely, so you dont accidentally forget. You will discover either all sorts of "Willy Wonka" results, or result in game crashing. Dont do it!
I’m new to seasons and have set up Sussex farm and I’m using seasons with geo Central Europe simplified makes things a lot easier to get used to seasons if your new to it
Well I wish I had watched this video earlier. I had been farming Sussex map and decided to run seasons. I didn’t realize how to bring up seasons menu. Couldn’t figure out where animal menu went and thought I had to get rid of all my animals for seasons to start with new animals. Sold them and bought new ones...still no animal menu until I realized I had to bring it up separately from main menu..keep making the great vids for those like me that are...I think the British term is ...a little daft...
Awesome overview of the Seasons Mod! I've got a good amount of hours already into this game on PC and have a good understanding of how things work in the basic version. I have been considering getting the Seasons Mod to try my hand at a more realistic scenario. One question I have been trying to find out is how well do existing save games react to having the Seasons Mod installed and removed? Like if I have an existing save game, decide I want to try seasons on the map, end up wanting to go back to vanilla and install seasons on the same save. Would that run the risk of a game corruption?
ok so I know alot of map makers have been updating some maps for seasons........ curious if you can run this with a map that hasn't been updated like say Washoe???

The rotation planner bonus (that little number to the right side) is affected by the previous two years crops NOT just one. In your demonstration you only had one fallow at the top, so each time you put a new crop in (lower), it was affecting your second crop (wheat). This is because the rotation planner is not just looking in a straight line down, it loops back up to the top to continue on. If you put two fallows at the top, you would never see an effect to that second crop.
I took a 4 month break from this game and I forget & could not figure out how to get the seasons menu to open for the life of me. Thank you so much. pressing down and holding the L1 and then pressing options button is not patched into the game about to how to open it for some reason.
@@jaimefelix8065 do you mean, installing the seasons mod or getting the seasons menu to open? to open the seasons menu, Press & Hold down L1 and then press the options button, hope that helps. If you need help with installing the seasons mod. There is a lot to cover about that, I suggest looking at Farmer Klein Channel for help with that part, because he has the best videos on this platform about installing seasons and what to do and look out for. if that is the case, and you need help with that, check out his videos first. It can even be done with a current save game as long as you harvest your crops first before installing the Seasons mod, because it will reset them all. Hope this helps.
NB. Cut wet grass (moisture over 20%) will NEVER turn to hay unless you ted it to make it Semi-dry grass first! Economy - Custom sales items (Digestate etc) will update after 1 ingame year. Standard crops will also update on the economy tab too. Initial screen is only a 'guide'. It becomes much more accurate the more you play.
For how much content you managed to get into this video, I'd say you did a great job. Wow. It's a completely different game isn't it! Although it doesn't feel much like a game anymore, but in a good way. This is amazing. I do have a question regarding the GEOs..I got seasons up and running but I tried running the snowy lands geo just to try it out and I couldn't get it to work. Do I just download them both and make sure they are both enabled before loading up the map or is there another process that I've missed?

Now that you mention the GEO and sugar cane, I don't believe there is a single GEO (that I know of) where you can grow sugar cane. The GEOs seem to mainly come from Northern/Central EU or Northern US. It would be nice to have some from the Southern US or maybe other places nearer the equator.
I read that you get a fertilizer bonus (a free fertilizing state) if you plant a crop that has a rotation bonus (that little number to the left of the rotation planner) that is more than 1.00
28:20 i found out if you rely on the water pump you get charged for it, so still worth filling up your water if you dont want the small charge, good as a backup so the water troughs dont dry up
You can ignore drought and frost resistance there is no way to plan for them because the forecast is inaccurate. Its basically plant during the correct window and cross your fingers. Even if frost or drought is really bad you don't lose much crop anyway. Crop rotation can also be ignored. Its just if it gives you a free fertiliser state or not.

Can you tell everybody in your next video to: Search for ''Geo'' in the mod hub, almost all PC geo's have been added to the console mod hub but they are spread all around the place, from misc. to maps and gameplay category. If you do a research your gonna find over 20 Geos already in the game, enjoy!!
Been away for 7-8 months from FS19 and seeing the snow on Snow-runner made me want to come back and try seasons for the first time. Do you have any series with Seasons enabled or does it not work too well for these types of video series ?
I once tested preemptive spraying on Washoe before Seasons and it worked (maybe because the maps were already seasons prepared?). Only the helper was not gonna do it by himself. I am a little disappointed that with seasons turned on he still doesn't want to spray when he is not detecting any weeds nearby. That aside, this mod rocks in every dimension!
It's a waste to spray an entire field because the weeds only show up in certain spots on the field of course that's where the weeds are all the time so no need to waste the money on herbicide
@@4evryoung426 Maybe, but in real life I can't imagine a farmer driving willy nilly across the field just to spray some patches :D That's the whole point about preemptive spraying

I as well as a few other experienced players are presently waiting on downloading FS19 Seasons for console. Some of us already know why as the beta testers. No issues with updating FS19, as that is a standard requirement anyway. The reasons are simple. One, there still are bugs and added issues that were not tested and caught, and are occurring and already discovered with the snow cycle and soon to be added GEOS. This product was a little rushed due to holiday pressure with Giants Software. There is another update patch coming shortly. I won't use the initial product. Two, the current GEO mods on console are somewhat "questionable", and not fully caught up with the Seasons release, which means sowing certain crops is not correct, options minimal, or they are simply and UTTERLY BROKEN based on errors. Third, present available snow equipment is somewhat non-existent in comparison to the PC version, although I do see the NMC blower just barely made it in the mod list. Most like options. Finally, I have a 1000 hour long hour, highly customized map saved game that is in the process of being prepared for Seasons use, which is not ready to be tested. I have to do a lot of work to be able to even test the functionality, after I do my final physical USB backup. As Treebeard from LOTR once said, "Don't be hasty". Do you really want to start another new game in two weeks due to potential incompatibility problems?
Yeah some Geos do cause issues with the later versions of Seasons on PC, because the Geos haven't been updated since it first appeared on PC. One issue is with Grass where Geos stop the grass from re-growing after being mowed. The main Season's mod fixed this issue in an update and mentions it in the console release notes. However many Geo's still use the old and out of date crops.xml which has the wrong growing cycle for grass coded. As the information in the Geo overwrites the information in the main Seasons mod, people will with old Geos be putting bugs back into their games.
26:15 you mention the food requirements balance out through the year no matter how many days you run, does this mean milk production works the same way, you get a set amount throughout the year and balances out how much it gives you per day, (i know about cows only giving once birthed a calf etc)
If I reset do I still get to keep my crops in storage? I was "plotting" having a lot of crops saved up since I have never played seasons before and I wanted food for animals without feeling like I will be broke and run out of food.
To be safe id start a new game, all the animals have different breeds and it might cause a crash if you put seasons on it. Also remember all fields like to be reset when you add seasons.
Yes, but be aware of what will happen to your cows. They will be converted to a seasons breed, I think Ayrshire, in the state they would be when first purchased. This means they will need to get pregnant and have a calf before they will give milk again. Gestation for cows is 9 months. Good luck then!

No that's how it's done download both active both but as a pc player that geo is garbage and has bugs junk geo

Only if you read that on the Realismus Modding or Giants forum website would that be true.

You can ignore drought and frost resistance there is no way to plan for them because the forecast is inaccurate. Its basically plant during the correct window and cross your fingers. Even if frost or drought is really bad you don't lose much crop anyway.
Crop rotation can also be ignored. Its just if it gives you a free fertiliser state or not.

Search for ''Geo'' in the mod hub, almost all PC geo's have been added to the console mod hub but they are spread all around the place, from misc. to maps and gameplay category. If you do a research your gonna find over 20 Geos already in the game, enjoy!!
I think they are sorted out by their PC release date, as the US Midwest geo pops up around the end of the installed mods as if it was really old.
Been away for 7-8 months from FS19 and seeing the snow on Snow-runner made me want to come back and try seasons for the first time. Do you have any series with Seasons enabled or does it not work too well for these types of video series ?

I once tested preemptive spraying on Washoe before Seasons and it worked (maybe because the maps were already seasons prepared?). Only the helper was not gonna do it by himself. I am a little disappointed that with seasons turned on he still doesn't want to spray when he is not detecting any weeds nearby.
That aside, this mod rocks in every dimension!
It's a waste to spray an entire field because the weeds only show up in certain spots on the field of course that's where the weeds are all the time so no need to waste the money on herbicide

I've noticed the past two times I've gotten through an entire first year of seasons that there is way less sowing and harvesting contracts.
I as well as a few other experienced players are presently waiting on downloading FS19 Seasons for console. Some of us already know why as the beta testers. No issues with updating FS19, as that is a standard requirement anyway. The reasons are simple. One, there still are bugs and added issues that were not tested and caught, and are occurring and already discovered with the snow cycle and soon to be added GEOS. This product was a little rushed due to holiday pressure with Giants Software. There is another update patch coming shortly. I won't use the initial product. Two, the current GEO mods on console are somewhat "questionable", and not fully caught up with the Seasons release, which means sowing certain crops is not correct, options minimal, or they are simply and UTTERLY BROKEN based on errors. Third, present available snow equipment is somewhat non-existent in comparison to the PC version, although I do see the NMC blower just barely made it in the mod list. Most like options. Finally, I have a 1000 hour long hour, highly customized map saved game that is in the process of being prepared for Seasons use, which is not ready to be tested. I have to do a lot of work to be able to even test the functionality, after I do my final physical USB backup. As Treebeard from LOTR once said, "Don't be hasty". Do you really want to start another new game in two weeks due to potential incompatibility problems?
Yeah some Geos do cause issues with the later versions of Seasons on PC, because the Geos haven't been updated since it first appeared on PC. One issue is with Grass where Geos stop the grass from re-growing after being mowed. The main Season's mod fixed this issue in an update and mentions it in the console release notes. However many Geo's still use the old and out of date crops.xml which has the wrong growing cycle for grass coded. As the information in the Geo overwrites the information in the main Seasons mod, people will with old Geos be putting bugs back into their games.
Moral of the story, use Geo mods at your own risk.
26:15 you mention the food requirements balance out through the year no matter how many days you run, does this mean milk production works the same way, you get a set amount throughout the year and balances out how much it gives you per day, (i know about cows only giving once birthed a calf etc)

so on the crop rotation each crop is planted and harvested for a year then you change to the next crop?

PSA. The snowy lands GEO is causing game crashes with the snow plow pack. I’ve experienced 0 crashes, but I don’t have that GEO installed.
If I reset do I still get to keep my crops in storage? I was "plotting" having a lot of crops saved up since I have never played seasons before and I wanted food for animals without feeling like I will be broke and run out of food.
Dan simply put, yes. Your storage is safe, just not planted crops on fields; seasons suggests you reset them when you load it.
Seasons is literally a game changer lol.

I am in dairy business and have 50 cows. So is it ok to continue with seasons on my current save?
To be safe id start a new game, all the animals have different breeds and it might cause a crash if you put seasons on it.
Also remember all fields like to be reset when you add seasons.

Yes, but be aware of what will happen to your cows. They will be converted to a seasons breed, I think Ayrshire, in the state they would be when first purchased. This means they will need to get pregnant and have a calf before they will give milk again. Gestation for cows is 9 months. Good luck then!
