If it weren't for injuries, this guy would still be England's first choice CF. He had much more ability than Harry Kane (as great as Kane is). Good to see him in a good place. Hopefully he makes a successful comeback
That’s a load of shite mate Kane is one of the best players in the world and the second best striker. Sturridge is class on his day but he would be second choice
@@mikelitorous5570 Daniel wanted to be a striker but was forced out wide. At Liverpool he proved he could which in itself is pretty unfortunate that he had to leave in order to be allowed to try. Daniel was always good like when he was a winger at Chelsea otherwise he wouldn't have been played so much. It's legit just his injuries that killed his game, not ego or anything like that.

As a united fan he was one of my favourite players of all time ngl , that’s 2014 season with suarez was some of the most exciting footy i’ve watched to date.
I wonder if HPP can interview Arsene Wenger some day, to hear about managing the mental fragility of young footballers as was alluded by Jake. He's always had a philosophical and human view to high performance that's not always spoken about
Great podcast as always, it'd be interesting to get a lower league football manager on these interviews as although they haven't been at the top end of the game they will have experienced a lot in terms of pressure and maybe even personal success.
Chris Wilder would be excellent, although appreciate he was in the premier league most recently, achieved serial success within the lower leagues. Other good guests would be Paul Cook or Danny Cowley IMO
Love this man. That lob vs Newcastle, the header vs PSG. It's a shame he couldnt continue football. Love what he doing with his social media. He definetly is an artist. All of his goal for Liverpool is an art.
Love this man , Lukaku was out for 4 games and spat his dummy out , this guy was out for months and he never spoke bad actually the opposite he convinced players like Ox , Robertson and mane join Liverpool , a true professional and a lethal player him and Suarez were phenomenal. When you career is done Daniel , would love to see you at anfield again one day YNWA ❤️
Is Damien Hughes, Graham from the aftercare team off jermery Kyle?! He sounds like it with nauseating questions and monotone voice and also looks like Graham from the aftercare team just with hair 🤣🤣Graham, we know your Damian!!! 😉☝
I really wish he wasn’t such an injury prone man. Daniel has always been humble and he had everything to become a top notch football player. 🏴
One of the best strikers I’ve ever seen at Liverpool, been very unlucky with injuries but when he’s fit he’s genuinely incredible. YNWA Studge ❤️
I remember that incredible season with Luis Suarez.
“Being the best version of yourself, the best you can be.”
Shame injuries really limited his career. He was world class that season him and Suarez nearly took Liverpool all the way
Nearly never won the race
@@Thailandfc24 What did you win ?
@@Thailandfc24 it’s a team game, our defence was europa league level if not worse
Daniel Sturridge on his day was world class unfortunate what happened with injuries.
Agree top player
Always grateful to Daniel for giving Liverpool fans something to cheer about again!
Like what ??

This is profoundly true!
So refreshing to see and hear Daniel Sturridge who happens to be a footballer. Wonderful !
As a united fan I gotta say he was really good for Liverpool

we'd love that !
Brilliant watch again. Hope Daniel can get back to his best, one of my favourite players during his time at Liverpool.

I love sturridge and he sound so motivated and ready to start playing football again I just wish he chose a proper challenge over going to Perth
Class interview gents. Such a top player with good years ahead of him.

Inspired by D Studge!! Waiting for your return back in the prem!!!
Class act on and of the field YNWA brotha!
Always enjoyed watching him play and I’m not a Liverpool fan
Class as always!
Wan bissaka next ?
Hopefully, DS continues to play football, but if not, I think he will land on his feet. He's a wise young guy and would make a great pundit.
Not sure how he's there and also on Love Island
Great pod but way too many ads

This fella has lost his mind 🤯
How? He's achieved fantastic things in a game we all love and he is humble about it. He's speaking from his heart.
Didn't he go to Perth Glory and yet again didn't actually want to play football?
