The 42 was driven by the young Swede Savage for Dan Gurney Racing. Swede died far too young. This style livery has been released in 1:64 now 4 times by Hot Wheels, 2 times by Auto World and once by Johnny Lightning to the best of my knowledge. If I am missing one please let me know. I own the ones I’ve mentioned.

Someone needs to setup an exchange program with the US and the UK; over here the US muscle cars (the ‘real’ versions of which were never sold here) end up being the peg warmers and the euro cars are impossible to obtain. Looks like it’s the opposite in the US, so we should do a peg warmer exchange!
Dot Matrix rubbish is on many Mattel “Premium” products, fully convinced it’s a cost cutting issue. Don’t care if tampos rub on the card, wish they’d fix it! Models would look so much better.
Finnaly there is a full set of team transport that i really want. Love all of the casting. The sacura sprinter will be a new edition for my collection because non of the prevous combinations have gotten my intrest.
There was also the Dan Gurney Hall of Fame release in early 2000's, that with the vintage racing and this new team transport set would make a nice little collection.
Like to get the Fiat Abarth 131/Second Story Lorry and the Target exclusive premium Gulf livery Abarth so 3 Abarths can go on one Transport (Already have the red Modern Classics Abarth) Saw your previous video with the first release of the Second Story Lorry with the Gulf Pantera (together with Gulf livery McLaren F1 from British Horse Power and Porsche 917 LH)
A update....got those Team Transports,not at my local Walmart, in my home city (which still has one of the Impala Team Transport), but at adjacent Walmarts in nearby towns

Good to see HotWheels sticking to a Theme in a Set But Why not bring out 4 in the Set for Boxing. Vintage Racing has so much too offer in the States when you look at the History of the Cars running the Moonshine over the State Borders that started Drivers doing up their cars to out run the Police. Then Red Dirt Rising that has a close connection to Car Racing in the Early Days in the Paddocks, then the First Beach Daytona Racing in 1958 then on to International Racing so that has a lot of Vintage Racing Cars and Drivers. Even early NASCAR would have a lot of History as there is a NASCAR History Channel on CZcams with Film taken in those days. I just forget the Channel but I will look for it as it’s Nostalgia and Great that we can view it after all those years. Found It ! HistoryPod and NASCARAllOut Great Viewing.
Shame the Cuda and Chevelle didn’t have Goodyear tires, but still cool nonetheless. Fiat looks great as well. Been saying, we need Vintage Racing back. Even if it’s a Car Culture mix. With that said, yes it should include Japanese cars, etc. However, I think it should still primarily be American cars. Car Culture already is predominantly Japanese and European cars, so let’s see at least one mix with predominantly American cars!
Vintage racing focus is a great idea so long as HW remember they are a global brand, not just American. No offence to the US racing fans but for those of us without a history of NASCAR fandom (i.e. most of the world) these Chevelles and Impalas and so on are pretty boring. They're well made and everything, but I just don't care about them; the Barracuda is nicer simply because it has a more interesting livery. The Fiat on the other hand, iconic for European rally lovers. That's the one I want. I really wish they'd sell the trucks and cars seperately. The trucks are really cool but often I just want one, usually the car but sometimes the transporter. If that worked out they could maybe branch out into more general commercial vans - removals, containers, utility trucks in proper scale with HW cars.

The second story lorry was used with the gulf pantra set. It is a nice ruck. Sadly, the fiat is a peg warmer in its single outing.

The Chevelle was in a two pack last year.
I have the black and gold chevelle on the card. I found it in an antique store for $5, a few months before the prices skyrocketed.
